You're welcome. I definitely want to do a "bonus shop" at some point but it might be quite a big job. Early next month I'll write the specs and see how much work it'd take to build. I like the flexibility that a shop would give us. For example, I'd love to give discounts to people who are losing a lot (paid for via the promo budget), or discounts to games we want to run more often.

Thanks, I'll pass it on. One of the people at the developers finds that he gets this on slower Macs but not faster ones, so I'm not too sure what's going on. How much graphic memory do you have on it?

Adding bigger stakes is awesome and really makes players feel the growth of the site, but splitting the player base is something to be careful about.
I think part of the problem is that our peak time is fairly narrow as the majority of our players live in CET timezones, with a few in +1 and a few in -1 and not a lot else. That means that outside of CET evenings we don't have huge liquidity in games like NL400.

We deal about 50% more hands at NL400 than at NL200 though. That implies that there's demand for a bigger game (asides from all the anecdotal evidence from this thread and from talking to various players).

I think the chances are good that we'll have at least one higher stake game one day, but I don't think we'll have NL5k any time soon.

Oh, and during hand 100m, we were the 2nd biggest poker site in the world. Of course it helps that it was at 4am...

Hi Andrew. One suggestion/improvement on tourneys. I played in the Sports Book Freeroll (so your cross- marketing works). When we got down to 2 tables you can view the other table as an observer. I made the final table finishing 4th (so I made a few quid which is always nice). As soon as I'm eliminated I can't view the final table that I was on to watch the last few hands play out. It would be nice to be able to do that and shouldn't take much to achieve this development wise. I understand why you don't want people observing cash games (bum hunting) but being an MTT player, with the MTT's you have this isn't going to be the case. Even if the table observation was limited to the people that had registered, that would work fine. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Thanks as always Adrian

2nd biggest poker site in world awesome.

Andrew i was playing trying to hit some milestone hands, seated in on all tables, then just before the milestone hits i sit out everywhere, can't click sit back in the whole client freezes, then after the milestone has hit, it unfreezes. Hope you can have the technical people resolve this, for future, as it's frustrating and of all times to sit you out everywhere

Edit: also after the sportsbook freeroll had finished i placed a bet of 80 pound but didnt receive my ticket for entry into next weeks freeroll can someone look at it for me thanks

Hi Andrew,

So my laptop died last night. I doubt that I'll be able to bring it back to life.

Therefore, could you please extend the expiry dates on my tickets to something like year end? I will probably be able to play when I'm going home for Christmas vacations next weekend. (if possible, could you set a later expiry date on the MTT tickets than the UO tickets? I want to use the UO tickets first and save the MTT tickets to make a change later, but before the computer breakdown when I wanted to use the UO tickets the software didn't let me choose which ticket to use, it just took the MTT ticket since it was closer to its expiry date.)

Would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Wow, "DumbRNG" won €3000 on milestone hand. I bet he thinks it's not so dumb anymore

Andrew,
On a different note, I've got two €10 MTT's, could you change them to two NL10 cash tickets? [Bert]

I think this is how it's MEANT to work, but it appears that it doesn't. We are investigating, thanks.

This sounds a lot like CPU lag. If you have a lot of tables open and your computer can't handle it, this is exactly the kind of thing that happens. You can check by loading Task Manager and seeing how much CPU the client is taking.

I'm glad that it worked, but it's meant to be much faster than that. We're investigating.

We had about 30 minutes of increased problems on our side last night, but it didn't affect many people. But obviously we are still having some disconnection and login problems, and we are investigating. It's a big priority on the developer's side right now and hopefully we can improve this in the near future.

If it wasn't for the dumb RNG he'd have been dealt more aces and thus seen more flops and thus increased his multiplier. RIGGED.

And sure, done.

This is a bug where you can't observe a table that you were seated at unless you restart the client. It's now on the list of things to fix, thanks.

Not sure if it's cool to ask in this official thread, but what are people's takes on the rake? Because it's not low: https://nl.unibet.com/help/products/...oker-at-unibet. The site seems beatable enough, still.

I haven't compared rake so am not sure, tbh never really looked at it.
I heard Andrew saying the rake was high himself the other day in one post I think he was referring to one particular buyin (500nl?) not sure.

In answer to your post though one massive principle I do agree with is that the principle of lower rake at lower buyins definately a great model in my opinion.

The reason i just logged in here into the thread is to say I think it's pretty amazing how far Unibet has come in such a relatively short period of time. From the day you launched to today you have invented a completely new poker platform, not only this which in itself is no mean feat, but you have created a successful platform.

I have played on most poker sites, ipoker and the custom sites like full tilt, party poker and pokerstars. When I now think about what site I want to play on, Unibet is the first site that always comes to mind.

If i have money in an ewallet, it's going onto Unibet.

Why is this, I wondered recently? Here are a couple of reasons that came up

The site seems fair and ethical. You seem to care about your players, I'm not deluded of course every site has to make money from it's player base, but the company has gone to great lengths to try to create a level playing field for everyone. Your promotions reward your micro players nicely instead of excluding them like most other sites do. This makes micro players feel welcome on the site.

The gameplay is first class. The avatars and backgrounds create a truly unique and amazing game play experience. I have played on PKR - and I can honestly say in terms of gameplay and graphics I prefer your software. When I was younger I used to like games, and the ideas of a virtual environment like PKR is one that I thought would have always won my vote over a 2d game, but somehow the experience of playing on Unibet is just superior - I enjoy it more.

- Tickets / notifications. The system of ticket notification, and achievement accomplishment - is brilliant. There's nothing quite like being in the middle of a session and getting a little drop down box telling you, you've just accomplished something. It's really awesome.

- No chat. There's no abuse. No berating fish. No swearing by a player that's on tilt. It's just a well behaved and well ordered play experience. At a future release providing you can switch them off if you want so you don't see them if you just want it like it is now, I think some basic interaction would be great. Maybe a selection of fixed things you can say like 'Good luck' - 'ready to go' - 'I'm taking this down' or things like that. I think this has scope for gamification too, you could reward extra speech phrases to players who reach certain levels or get accomplishments and this doesn't directly affect play so players that haven't unlocked every phrase wouldn't be at a play disadvantage.

- Unibet Open - general all around presence of Unibet. Even for those of us that have never been to a Unibet event, it feels good to be playing on a site that is a part of bigger things. It's also motivational to think one day with the right application we could work ourselves up to being in contention to qualifying for one of these events.

- Average player skill / style. Unlike some other sites Unibet isn't full of nits (at least up to 50nl which is what I have played). There are always players around that actually play poker and get involved in hands. This applies to SNGs also.

- The software is world class. It's smooth. Immersive and quick now.

Finally it's great that the site is evolving and I hope this continues, I imagine eventually this will slow down when most of Unibets vision has been achieved, but for those of us that have been playing on the site a few months and enjoy it, it's really great to watch the next big idea announced and then see it implemented in the site.

The one thing I'm really looking forward to is Android support, but I know that'll arrive eventually.

Apart from the chat idea i mentioned and android support one other piece of wish list feedback that probably would be super easy for developers to implement is volume control. I know you said you don't play with sound - but unibets sounds are really cool and I like playing with them on, problem is if I want to listen to music while playing they are a bit loud, would be nice to be able to volume control them separate to your main system volume.

Thanks for everything, by way of support you've given me since I joined in this thread - and for such a great site.

I like your client. I think avoiding HUDs, anonymity from tracking etc. is a part of online poker's future and a great way to separate you from the pack.

Now, one thing that you have clearly gotten wrong is hotkeys. As many vivid gamers, and actually 1/7 of all computer users, I get pain in my arm/hand when using the mouse for a couple of hours. Hotkeys reduces this issue for many and me considerably.

I have read that you don't allow hotkeys or any scripts because this makes poker bots easier. Well, as a statistician who has done a fair bit of artificial intelligence work (machine learning) I can tell you that anyone who can make a +EV bot, can certainly make a bot that uses the mouse to perform auto actions and not hotkeys. If this is a step that you take, to avoid spending on banning bots successfully as e.g. pokerstars you are hurting yourselves, because will just allow your site to be a cramped with bots made by professionals and not someone who has read a "how to build a poker bot" thread on some site.

All in all: allow hotkeys and see your user numbers and ratings go up. Get better more sophisticated ways of protecting your site against bots. Otherwise, you will get a bot infestation at some point.

I'm not really buying the CPU lag explanation. A while back during the PLO Jack of Diamonds campaign, I 12-tabled PLO and the client was taking 13% with around 85% left for the System Idle Process. Now 8-tabling took roughly the same.

As for the rake, getting past PLO/NL25 with proper BR management requires a hot streak. If there'd be HEM/PT-stats, I'd probably pass out after seeing the Rake column.

Nevertheless, I prefer the client over any other on the market. It's super simple and it has all the features needed for a good gaming experience. Keep up the good work!

A simple 'hotkey' I'd like is: if I type in an amount I want to bet, I'd like to bet that by clicking enter after.

Thanks for your answer SuddenlyGood2.
