Second, thanks everyone for reporting disconnection of tech problems. It often warns us that something is wrong before we'd find out the normal ways, and it helps us figure out what the problems are.
Third, I forgot about a tech problem from yesterday: one of the tourney monitors died so we had some tourney lobby refresh problems for a while. I believe this has also been fixed since.

It's because of how it's built. Games are optimised to run purely on that platform. We have very similar code bases across lots of different platforms thanks to Adobe Air. This lets us have PC, Mac, iPad and browser (and soon Android) from a pretty small development team. The downside is that it isn't hugely efficient on any specific platform. There's no way to get around it entirely without having five times as many developers (and that has its own problems).

I'm not sure if we need a full lobby, but I think we do need to have a way to display the structure and payout schedule somewhere. I think this would be OK if we had a webpage with the info and we linked it from the client.
We only have one type and speed of SNG so this would work for now. I don't think we'll be adding another for a while, tho SNG traffic is up ~45% since March so if we have the demand we may have the liquidity to split the pool at some point.

You'd have to talk to the general support guys instead I'm afraid - this is a site-wide thing, so I don't know a great deal about it. There're definitely problems with depositing with a card registered to one country from another country though, so security will need you to confirm who you are etc.

So I personally would actually prefer there to be no downloadable HHs enabled. On the other hand if it was possible I certainly Would download the HHs to look at my results and no doubt improve my own game by looking through my database and analysing my play.

Yes, agree. When we designed it we weren't really expecting 2k entrants and obviously the design includes rough player equities.

Connection loss is to be expected on the Internet. Client really should recover from this behind the scene, with no user interaction. Today it freeze.

Yeh, it's all from the site-wide christmas calendar. They're all short lived and very easy. There's only one avatar to be won.
These are why the December mission is so simple too - it's an introduction to the client to people who are arriving with the calendar. From next month I hope to hijack the christmas-mission functionality to use as a new player mission. Then I hope to hijack it for targetted CRM and stuff (really geeky kinda-big-data-marketing stuff, just what I like).
