Hey,
I have extended the bonus as goodwill gesture.

Sorry to hear you are having issues again. If you can't mark the exact hand ID, please take note of the time, that will help us find the hands. So if you say, I had issues between 11.35 and 11.50 I can go through the hands that you played in that time frame and see where there were issues. The time frame should be as tight as possible though, especially if you play 14 tables.

I need those along with your poker_log file please to check for compensations.

Regarding your second issue, I'm honestly not sure why that could be the cause, as we haven't had any chances in the past few days, the last release is weeks back and we have a new release coming out tomorrow. Could you check if the problem still persists after the new release?

Thanks for your feedback and taking the time for making such a detailed post.

I think the problem is that not everybody wants to qualify for a live event or take many steps to do though but at the same time we still want to offer the option for those that want to.

Having more flips in the lower buyin tiers is definitively an option, I will make sure to forward your suggestion to our tournament manager, I doubt though that having negative rake is an option.

We will introduce some changes in the UO qualifier tier shortly and hope those will have a positive effect but the feedback from players is always crucial for us even if we realize it is impossible to please everybody.

Thank you!

So I would open-shove ATC but ended up doubling up over and over again. So anyhow, players at the table stopped calling my shoves I mean, my goal was to give away half of my ticket, but here I am scaring away recreational players playing 4NLHE, which is not something I want to do or Unibet meant to do, I assume, by giving out these tickets with Challenge points. So here I am with a 18.82E ticket, unable to cash it out (277 flops left to see ) and not willing to scare away the players at 4NLHE

I really don't care about claiming the value of this ticket, I just wanted to point out an unwarranted situation
Yes, we are aware of that issue. In an ideal world we would have challenge payouts based on the games/limits someone plays and when developing a new or updated loyalty system.

Also annoying that one always runs good when it's not needed

The ticket is only unusuable if you have less than 50 big blinds of the limit remaining. With a 6 EUR ticket you start with 150 big blinds, so you would have to go down to 1.99 EUR for it to be unusable and to convert to cash.

^ The reason why "losing half" would work normally is that if you have 1.99 left on an NL4 ticket you can't buy in with it, so they just give you the money. (With banzai, losing 1 cent normally works).

If you have 2.99 you can still buy-in so they won't cash it out.

What you need to do is lose another euro so you have less than the min buy-in.

I'm not sure what Unibet think about this type of gaming the system but FWIW I think letting people like you get half the value from those tickets like that is a fair compromise after the possibility to exchange them was taken away.

People fold less in PLO so maybe that would be an easier place to lose money?

Nobody can please everybody.
Unfortunately, I doubt that flips with rake, even very small rake, will have a big impact. But, of course, I can not be sure.
I thought of the idea of flips with negative rake imagining that you want to have a field as big as possible at Unibet Open. But I might be wrong.

About negative rake. In my opinion is just a promotion, like other promotion. You already have free bets at the sports betting part of the company and free best "are bonuses granted or earned in connection with customer acquisition. " quoted from Kindred Group anual report.(https://www.kindredgroup.com/globala...-unaudited.pdf)

An qualifier system with negative rake, in my opinion, could be called exactly de same : "bonuses granted in connection with customer aquisition".

In the same report, free bets at sports betting accounted for 20.7M GBP at a gross margin of 124.9M GBP, so the company paid 20.7M GBP in free bets to win 124.9M GBP in profit after the free bets.

So, thats why I wonder why negative rake promotion can't be an option.
Is that negative rake is a taboo subject in the poker industry?
Or that 'rake' in general is a taboo word in the poker industry?

P.S.: Sorry if I am being to intrusive with reading the reports, writing opinions, asking questions & so on, but I hope you notice is well-intended. I just like Unibet and want it to be the biggest.

Hey.

Im a regular cashplayer at Unibet, and they're running a thing called 'Spring Mid-Stakes Bootcamp' which basically is just their own internal rake-race for both high and midstakes.

The list of players is presented in site, and checking that list, i noticed very suspicious and quite worrisome pattern.

So, on the list, every nickname is censored by ***, showing only first two and last two of the letters, for example it would be - st*******er for stylebender.

The nicknames that are listed, are only used for a login, and are not for a public use (Unibet is anonymous site where you can use 5 nicknames at once, and change 3 of them on daily basis).

Now, what is really suspicious about it, is that you can find pattern of multiple names that:
- are starting with 'un' (like... unibet?)
- are ending with two digits
- are having same lenght

You can find 8 of these nicknames at the images, and there are 14 of these in 100top list (i was too lazy to capture and paste whole list).

Now - I am not a person that likes to throw accusations left and right, but... first thing that came to my mind obviously was -

Could that be a proof that Unibet is running their own bots in NL25-NL100 games?? (as this is what they refer as mid-stakes)

Its definitely not proof, but it is very strange and I'd like to see an explanation for it from Unibet.

Also curious, have any Unibet regs ever received a refund from botting/cheating?

played 400 PLO on unibet for a couple years now and never been refunded however i will say that i have found that unibet are a very reputable and great company and would be absolutely astounded if they were ever doing anything shady.

Hi,
unfortunately this is not something in my control, it's a company decision whether or not we operate in a certain market due to local laws and policies.

There is a simple explanation for this.
Until around a year ago anyone that signed up, could choose a username when signing up on Unibet, nowadays they automatically get a username assigned to them that looks like unibet_usernumber, that's why you see so many unibet_numbers in the list, we also provide our service for Pokerhuone (a Finnish brand that is part of Kindred as well), those players would have a username looking like huone_usernumber.

I hope this makes things more clear, we do not have any Unibet bots playing, I can assure you that.

On another note, we did have technical issues yesterday evening and a few tournaments froze, those were cancelled in the meantime and the games should be working fine again.

If you have any issues still, please let me know.

Thanks

In some rare cases, registration can close before announced.

An example is, if a tournament starts with 4 players, with 2 prizes, one early elimination in 4th place and then more people sign up during late reg, so now 3 prizes get paid, in this case registration will close before a 4th place would be ITM as a player eliminated already finished in that position.

It sounds a bit complicated but as mentioned, it doesn't happen often and just in these particular cases.
so im pretty sure this is not what you are talking about: https://gyazo.com/4b7d3ce88c8622c7afa9bb7e1972a07c

but this actually happens quite often, not sure if it also happens with other tournaments, but the 4kgtd deep impact sometimes closes registration 10-20minutes before advertised and it is very annoying

If you scroll down in the deep impact list you will see that someone busted in 17'th place and there are currently 15 places paid, if more people registered they would pay 17'th place which would create issues. It shouldn't be designed like this, but since it is, it makes sense to stop at that point.

So Unibet is glad to pay overlay(if garantee is not met yet)rather than creating weird situations because of poor client development?!That is ridiculous.

agreed, but it's also ridiculous to complain about overlay as a player

this issue probably has a pretty small impact in the grand scheme of things.
