any updates in this case? Is this "note-tool" allowed or not?

Hi,
I cannot see any expired supernova ticket, you used a 100 EUR ticket on the 11th, do you remember any details?

The Challenge freeroll took place on the 12th, not yesterday, you therefore missed and it expired.
As a one-time gesture, I have re-added it to your account.

Thanks

Im totally a rec player, can comfortably afford to lose a few hundred euros every month. I like unibet poker, feel comfortable with people not having a hud and like the name changing, BUT letting people rat-hole like this is not allowed on just about every other site.

You say you used to be a pro player, surely you can see the error with this?

Anyway i def wont play unibet again till you have a solution to this.
Ratholing is one of the topics in our future discussions within the team and we will take a decision on it and decide whether or not chances are needed, keeping our ecology aspect in mind.

We will keep a closer look at this one but it doesn't seem to interact with the software and therefore is ok to use for now.

I must have accidentally regged because I never played a hand and didn't even have the client open.

Thx for the freeroll ticket.
2 suggestions.. have timezones for all players. Stars had this 15 years ago. Let people reg the UO freeroll ahead of time. The week before I was having trouble registering.

In sngs it is not possible anymore click the replay button after the game finished..
Can u reclaim that option?

Just a quick question, not familiar with current rules: is it strictly enforced that UO package must be used to the event it is won and postponing it to next UO event is not allowed?

Interested about London and Malta. Not interested about Ski Edition as we have enough cold and snow here already and I have studies to do.

Hey, I checked upon this, the reason why it was removed due to technical difficulties after implementing a different setup through HexaPro's.
There is no plan to bring it back for now but I asked to get it investigated and see what is doable.

I understand it's not the ideal solution but you can always check your hand history in text format under history in your profile.

We don't allow postponing/moving packages, hence you shouldn't play any final qualifiers if you don't intend to go to that particular event.

The last qualifier for Sinaia will be on Jan 27, meaning qualifiers for London will start right after that.

Thanks

Hello.

I recently reported a case of suspected collusion/botting that I encountered at the PLO100 tables, but unfortunately, the danish support team has been very unhelpful.

The event happened at around 7AM my time two days ago. At 7AM on a Wednessday nothing is going on on the site. I had just been playing NL100 with a table of only weak players until it broke.
Then I looked in the lobby, and the only other interesting game going was PLO100. Here however I sat down with 4 players, three of whom seemed to employ exactly the same strategy. I lost around 1000€ in less than an hour iirc, and each time these three players won an all in, they instantly left the table only to rejoin the exact same seat with the minimum buy in again. This should not be possible in my opinion, as this is very helpful for a bot, as they can always be playing the same and short stack size, which is the easiest scenario to program a bot for. Also it's very annoying to have your lost money being taken off the table with the player still playing there.

Anyways, these players play exactly the same for a long time, until one of them starts building his stack a little bit (maybe human took over one of them?)

I reported this to the danish support and asking for a refund if they found my suspicion to be accurate, but they just replied with this (translated):

"I'm afraid that we can't refund anything regarding this case, unfortunately. Sorry!"

I ask them, why not?
They reply:

"We can't and aren't allowed to pass on information about other players/accounts. Sorry."

Eh what? I didn't ask about personal information about the players. I'm asking about how you've investigated the case, and come to the conclusion that no refund can be given.

I have once before reported a case of cheating on Unibet, back in 2015, and back then support told me the following:

"As a follow up on your report about possible collusion at the Bansai table, I've now got a reply from our poker team.
They inform me that there was substance to your suspicion, and even if I cannot go into details, I can inform you, that all the necessary sanctions have been taken towards the involved players."

I did not get any refund, even if they told me, that I had been cheated, and punished the players I reported. I hope I can also get a refund for this case now, but more importantly I would like my new case to be properly investigated, and get a refund for this much more serious incident where I lost much more money than the first time.

I hope you will be able to help me. The english Unibet team has always been very approachable and helpful in the past, unlike the danish team.

Best regards
Martin

Hi Martin,
I personally took care of this case and reported it and it has been investigated.
Unfortunately, we really are not allowed to share the results of the investigation, whether they are positive or negative due to data protection regulations, this is not something that is in our control.

I don't know why the communication in 2015 was different to nowadays but the regulations have changed over the years and are becoming stricter and stricter.

The pattern you are referring to, is called ratholing and is one of our discussion points in our next bigger team meeting.
As for now, players are able to leave the table and join again with the minimum requirement of 50 BB's. We understand that it doesn't seem fair to many of you and even that you might consider it as unethical, there are some reasons why we allowed it in the first place and we have to consider the pros or cons of it and make a decision based on it.

I understand this is probably not the answer you were looking for, unfortunately my hands are bound in this case and I cannot comment on it in more detail.

Thanks

It seems very unlikely that the PLO100 table at 7 in the morning suddenly has three hard core pros all employing the exact same small stack strategy, when the NL100 table was filled with donks. And why would they not play bigger stacks? I was reloading to 100 every time, and I and the other big stack were definitely the fish at the table. Normally the sharks would like to cover the fish.

And also, what about the other case where I was informed that the players were sanctioned? Shouldn't I get refunded for that?

And the screen names in question are just aliases that can be changed at any time... I don't understand how you could give too much information away about the players by a little giving more than no information at all.

I don't have time to explain why, but being short-stacked is actually an advantage in PLO, and it's common for some of the best players in the world to buy-in for 40bb in the nosebleed PLO games on Stars.
Ratholing and returning to the same table is not possible on Stars, though, and it seems it's time Unibet fixed the issue on its site, particularly on the PLO tables, where "pro shortstacking" is an actual thing. (In NLH, being deeper is usually more profitable).

Hi, i dont want to seem like a dick but can you link me to the specific data regulations you quote?

It seems strange that a totally anonymous site cannot give details about a specific session of play, i mean hes not asking for real names or anything.

Its probably some ******ed EU data protection law, the same crap that is the reason you have to click away a few windows everytime you open a new website
If players are caught cheating, does Unibet redistribute the funds to the victims? If so, it should be easy for you to draw a conclusion
you got money -> they got banned
you didnt get money -> Unibet thinks theyre legit

Option 3- They get banned and Unibet gets money.
I don't believe Unibet takes this option as often as other sites but it is very common in this industry.

These laws are set up by operators for their own benefit. As consumers we are forced to put our full trust in companies where they act as police, prosecutors and judge.
Nowhere else in a democratic society does this behavior exist.

I checked the case from 2015 and I'm not sure what the procedures were back then but a lot has changed since then and it's impossible to do checks retroactively.

It is very important to understand the difference in cases, just because an account gets suspended doesn't necessarily mean, that we are allowed to freeze the money as well. I can't go too much into details in this one unfortunately.

I can however confirm that when we have all the needed evidence of committed fraud and frozen funds, we compensate hurt players, it is a very complicated process as you imagine.

When it comes to fraud related cases, we not only have to be careful what we communicate due to regulations/data protection and similar but also we have to be careful what we communicate, to not make it obvious for fraudsters to find our detection methods and being exploited.

I understand from a player's perspective that it is hard to understand but I can assure you, processes like this are very complicated and have many factors to think of.

There are no details out for 2019 yet, if you are interested how the setup of last year was, you can find more info about this here: https://www.unibet.eu/promotions/pok...r-championship

Unibet are opening up a small player group to beta test new client releases and discuss promotions etc.

Some of the regs here might not visit the community site so the link to thread about it is below in case anyone wants to put their name forward to be considered for a spot.

hi guys,

according to those bot/collusion problems.
I also noticed some suspicous players at the PLO25 & 50 tables for a couple of weeks now. It's kind of hard to keep track due obv reasons...

Does unibet scan if players run 3rd party programs?
What exactly do the do to prevent botting?

PS: i also think ratholing is a bad thing. i dont mind opening with 50 bb but going south after a win and rejoining is lame

I guess I should share this one aswell after reading about latest bot/collusion problems. Few weeks back I reported 2-3 accounts playing nl100-200 the exact same strategy at the tables when the pools were around 10-15 players. Each account switched names after about 45mins, reset stacks, used betsizes that you have to type in and acted almost instantly. I've reported bots during 10 years of playing and at this point I'm fairly certain when I spot an obvious one.

I never got a reply back from Unibet and I rather keep my action elsewhere because of accounts like this. It's impossible to keep track of these guys if the pool is big and you can't save any data. I figure I'd share this here so regs can keep their eyes open.

If it's impossible to check retroactively to 2015, then your system must be utter chaos.

I don't imagine it being very complicated to be honest. Your team gives out tickets and exchanges a ton of tickets on a daily basis. And back then you had all the evidence. The players in question were checking down full houses against each other. It was the most blatant collusion I've ever witnessed.

Your site is anonymous.. It just sounds like you don't know the rules and are afraid to speak about anything.
I work as a software engineer. In this industry whenever methods become so secret that you are not allowed to question them and the company won't reveal anything about it, but just asks for blind trust, it's often because the method is very weak, and the company is afraid of exposing this fact, and instead calls it something like a "trade secret" to avoid having to answer any questions.

I think Unibet have a large number of house bots or/and a rigged RNG. There are alias out there you never see losing one **** pot. Then there also are regs playing who just cant win whatever they do and though they are playing almost perfect. Some say its variance, but not at this point. This is something else. As usual the site, in this case Unibet, dont have to bother because we cant prove it.

The most weird part though is that almost nobody seem to care about this issue. There must be so many break even/small losing regs out there just grinding on with their face stuck in their own ass...
