Spins will attract recs from all other formats making them significantly less profitable.

Like what happened to SNGs on $tars after they introduced spins.

Do you have any source for this that spins are hoovering recs from cashgames? And thats most likely total horsepoop that other formats becomes significantly less profitable. Atleast I didn't see any difference in stars or partys cashgames when these raketraps appeared and don't believe it will make any difference in ub either. It might kill the sng traffic and that's pretty bad allready am I right?

Btw isn't that 1,5x mincash bad? Other sites offers 2x right? Even they say that 10x hits you more often does it make the format more profitable compared to like party or mpn?

I think casual players often have a little dip into the cashgames when they bust an MTT and only have 3.38 left in their accounts and 20 minutes to spare. Cashgame traffic plummeted on Stars when Spins were launched, and it led to Stars making more money from so-called tournaments than from cash for the first time in its history.
I don't mean to moan about it, as I recognize that the poker landscape has changed a lot in recent years, but as a cashgamer I hate short-stack formats. I hope Unibet is ready for the influx of staking groups with their charts and Hexabots.

I did not know that. And agree that all these ssformats are awful. Interesting to see how they work out for ub. Mainly because pretty much all the stableplayers from stars and partys rakengos uses massive huds (what I've seen from twitch) and ub obv don't allow them. And I believe all the seating scripts are allso big part of their game and those are allso most likely useless at ub.

Animations need to go asap. Annoying as fork. And that massive info about minor challenges. What is the matter with you people?

+1 to this. Too much minor challenge spam and I usually just have 4 tables open in the browser version.

Now minor challenges are shorter I doubt anyone digs through the menu structure and looks at the next one each time and plays any differently, so it's basically just randomized rakeback now.

To make it less spammy, maybe the message could instead what the next one is e.g. rather than "you have completed a minor challenge and got 8 points, please look up the next on on the challenges page" it could say "you have completed a minor challenge, your next one is Be Dealt a Suited Hand 5 times."

Yeah, +2 on the minor challenges being too short and insignificant ; it really takes the fun out of them

Results have shown them to have made a significant impact on Stars. According to PokerScout in its weekly Scouting Report, during the first week Spin and Gos were introduced, cash game traffic on PokerStars decreased 9.2%, almost certainly from players hopping on the Spin and Go train.

PokerScout took it a step farther when looking at the influence of Spin and Gos. Because PokerStars saw its traffic rise 2.5% at the same time last year, PokerScout figures that Spin and Gos have actually taken away 12% to 16% of the site’s cash game traffic.
so spins had significant impact on cashgame traffic....

Bug (or not) after the new update.

At basic size the client seems a little bit blurry, I mean the text and everything is not so sharp. But when I increase the size of the lobby (even just by the smallest amount I can move my mouse) it becomes sharp as usual.

Not sure tho if this is bothers anyone else, or just me?

bugs:
- "+1" signs instead of 1st and 3rd casino icons on the table
- sometimes when viewing replay it is impossible to see the showdown at river

+1, good idea.

Also having problems with not seeing showdowns in the replayer, and I would also like to be able to turn the animations off.

Also there was a long period of time when I wasn't playing Unibet when they left the Irish market, but am I right in thinking challenges used to be more fun - stuff like "Win a hand after check/raising flop"?

They seem pretty boring at the moment, aren't there ways to liven them up a little?

If you need ideas I'm sure this thread could lend a hand.

Someone in PG&C mentioned a live casino where if you win a hand with 65 you don't pay rake for an hour, I'm not suggesting that exactly but little things like this that add a bit of fun to the game without changing things too much might be worth trying.

Would also be a good disincentive for bots!

It's been mentioned before that they don't want to create challenges that encourage bad play so things like "Win a hand with 72o" are not going to happen.

I think that for the most part, the challenges do encourage good play, but in threw this prism, a few are quite suspicious and might do the opposite... Like encouraging set-mining with the wrong odds... Or seeing hands at showdown and hence encouraging being a station... Or making a str8 to the A and thus chasing... etc. Just some thoughts

*shrugs*

I don't play Cash or SNGs very often so to me they are not even challenges, they're just "Things that'll happen while you play". The whole thing is supposed to be getting scraped fora new loyalty scheme at some point anyway so changing the current one now might be pointless.

Yeah gotcha. And I am feeling concerned about this upcoming loyality program and rakeback changes involved To be determined...

Doesn't sound like it's happening any time soon so I wouldn't worry too much.

Not in this case. All refunds have already been made last week, you should be able to find it as "premium" in your financial history.

Unfortunately, we had a bunch of bugs in the newest release, which we are trying to fix at the moment and update it asap.

The blank grey screen issue is one of the issues we are trying to fix too.

Animation issue is being worked on at this moment, as it's buggy.

We will also soon deactivate notifications for minor challenges completed, so you will not get notifications about these in the future.

There haven't been done any changes in that regard.

We'll look into it, if we can come up with some new ideas but the main idea would be to have a new or at least updated loyalty system at some point for sure.

Regarding the concerns that some of you have regarding HexaPro's:

We believe in general that HexaPro is a great entry level poker product that works very well on mobile. Jackpot SNGs are also needed to offer an industry standard poker product portfolio.
We want to use HexaPro's to attract new players to poker both through new player acquisition and cross sell from other Unibet products.
We believe this will give us an opportunity to attract new players and expect that they will also try other formats, like cash games and MTTs.

We truly believe this will increase our traffic and have a positive long-term effect on our poker product.
