2 lipmpers I am in the cutoff I have A 10 I raised to 8 Button calls 1 limper calls. (we are all 300 deep I cover both of them)

Flop is 7AK

I bet 15 in the pot of 27. Button calls.Limper Folds

Turn is J

I bet 45. Button calls

River is a K

I bet 100. Villain shoves I muck

Any thoughts???

depends who it was against but in general you're never good here. why are you betting the river? what calls you that you beat?

There are not many better turns to c/c.

There are not many worse rivers to bet.

Not sure if you noticed, but you lost your kicker on the river and the worst value hands in opponents range now split the pot with you.

He's not paying you off with a QJ; so there are no calling hands for you to "value bet" against. Betting the river can only be justified if you are trying to steal his half the pot when he has an A. The river K is a good card for all the Ax hands he may be calling with, and most folks who make 3 bad calls to GET to the river (with say A7) are not going to lay it down now.
Now if you were known for not betting a pair for value on the river and he checked to you, then I'd be tempted to free-role bluff for his half the pot.

He's got KQ, possibly KsQs. Or maybe not.
