Cliffs:

  1. Submit pro-poker CNN presidential debate questions now via Twitter HERE and HERE. If you can, it's best to edit these a bit to give them some individuality.
  2. Either go HERE to schedule tweets for around 8 pm ET on 10/18 or tweet them again yourself around 8 pm ET on 10/18.
  3. Like the pro-poker Facebook debate questions HERE and HERE, then like and post pro-poker questions/comments there and on the main wall HERE. Start with something like, "To all the candidates: What is your position on the licensing, regulation and taxation of online poker?" To find all the poker questions, hit CTRL-F and search for "poker". Use "highlight all" to spot the poker posts.
  4. Submit pro-poker questions directly to CNN HERE. Again, try something like, "To all the candidates: What is your position on the licensing, regulation and taxation of online poker?"
  5. Send a prefilled tweet promoting the action plan HERE.
Details:

CNN is airing the Oct. 18th presidential debate air live from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET from the Venetian in Las Vegas. CNN is seeking questions for candidates via the CNN Politics fan page on Facebook, Twitter (using the #CNNDebate hashtag), and their website. So, let's submit some pro-poker questions. As this debate is in Las Vegas, we will be topical.

The site states that the questions and comments are "submitted in real-time," so let's submit them now and then resubmit them right as the debate starts. We can either use www.twuffer.com to schedule tweets in advance or we can submit them ourselves as the debate starts.

Please reply in this thread with "posted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 48 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

BTW, CTRL+TAB is a good way to hop between tabs & click each tweet. Then you can close out each(or all) tab(s) easier. Easy to knock out the big Tweet list in 30 seconds

Thanks. I just updated the plan to include this. I updated action #3 as well, adding a question that can cut-and-pasted to Facebook:

There's a lot of action on the CNN Facebook debate page. I recommend keeping on it today and tomorrow as we are now. Starting at 7:30 PM tomorrow, though, let's have as many of us as possible online for the final push.

We have a nice opportunity to make ourselves heard today, so I encourage everyone to participate. CNN is airing this evening’s GOP presidential debate live from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET from the Venetian in Las Vegas. CNN is seeking questions for candidates via the CNN Politics fan page on Facebook, Twitter (using the #CNNDebate hashtag), and their website. So, let's all submit some pro-poker questions. As this debate is being held in Las Vegas, our issue will be seen as topical:
  1. Submit pre-filled pro-poker debate questions via Twitter, including the new-for-today one here HERE, as well as yesterday's questions HERE, and HERE. Either submit these as-is or, even better, edit them a bit to give them some individuality.
  2. Like the pro-poker Facebook CNN debate questions HERE and HERE, then like and post pro-poker questions/comments there and on the CNN Facebook debate page main wall HERE. Just post something straightforward, like, "To all the candidates: What is your position on the licensing, regulation and taxation of online poker?" (To find all the poker questions, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “more posts” until a day’s worth of posts are visible. Then, hit CTRL-F and search for "poker". Use "highlight all" to spot the poker posts quickly.)
  3. Submit pro-poker questions directly to the CNN website HERE. Again, try something like, "To all the candidates: What is your position on the licensing, regulation and taxation of online poker?"
  4. There's a lot of action on both the CNN Facebook debate page and the CNN debate Twitter feed. Starting at 7 PM ET, let's have as many of us as possible online for the final Facebook and Twitter push. We can schedule tweets in advance HERE, but we will have to do the Facebook posting in real time.
That is all it takes! With this, not only will you let the candidates know you demand your right to play poker in your own home on your own computer…you will also let CNN know that many of its viewers are deeply interested in this issue.

Please reply in this thread with "posted", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 49 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

I put today's action in my PPA weekly member update, so we should get more pro-poker posts shortly. Let's all be sure to like these posts as they come:

Weekly Update from Rich Muny, VP of Player Relations

I wish to thank the entire poker community for taking the time to stand up for our right to play. We are being heard on Capitol Hill and across the country. As I mentioned last week, we have received excellent feedback from lawmakers and our lobbyists on the effectiveness of the efforts of the poker community, so let’s all keep this effort growing!
