I think it's a great idea and I hope we get the 5K. But I think that it's pretty sad there are only less than 2200 petitioners so far since May. You would think that the 5K requirement would have hit its milestone within the 1st day or so.

But...then again, I just saw this thread. Just not enough exposure?

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw the petition was created on 9.22.11 The date of post #1 of this thread threw me off.

Yeah, we've been working every single day to advocate for online poker. I hope you'll come back to this thread daily to participate in the Daily Action Plan. It usually literally takes less than a minute per day to accomplish the task.

Weekend of September 24th, 2011

Facebook Live is hosting a live discussion with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan on Monday, Sept. 26 at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET. The focus is on efforts to address the U.S. economy and how technology is changing the way government works.

It sounds custom-made for some pro-poker posts and will take less than thirty seconds!
  1. Click "I'm attending" HERE, then like the pro-poker comment HERE.
  2. Return to the main page HERE to post and like pro-poker comments.
  3. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.
Please reply in this thread with "liked", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. Please also consider revising your profile location to indicate support for the action thread. The past 30 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

============

If you wish to do more today, let's continue action on the “We the People” Poker Petition to President Obama:

We the People is a new addition to the White House website that allows Americans to petition the Obama Administration on a range of issues. Per the site, “if a petition gets enough support, White House staff will review it, ensure it is sent to the appropriate policy experts, and issue an official response.”

This is a great way for us to ensure the administration hears from the poker community, so let’s all take a moment to sign the petition electronically.

The site is getting a lot of traffic, so you may get either a "site is under maintenance" or a "404 not found" message. Just try it a few times and you'll get through. Even with this slight delay, it should take less than one minute to complete:
  1. Go HERE and click "CREATE AN ACCOUNT."
  2. The site will send a confirmation email. Click on the link in that email to continue.
  3. Click "✔ SIGN THIS PETITION" to vote (if you are not redirected automatically, go HERE to vote).
  4. Send a prefilled, editable Twitter message to invite others to sign this petition HERE.
  5. Send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE.
  6. Be sure to tell your friends and family about this.

Done with the 1st round of tweets. The 2nd round are going out in a few.

@TheEngineer what was that Chrome/Firefox extension that you suggested once where you could right-click/drag to select a bunch of links at once? I got a new installation here and need to spiff it up.

Firefox Multi Links.

Another easy way to open all the links is to hold down your CTRL key while clicking on each link. They'll open in separate tabs. Then, just go tab by tab and knock the items out. That's actually how I do it.

One more time saver for the Facebook likes is to use the browser search function for "poker". Simply choose "highlight all" to find the poker ones easily. Follow that with a search for "2366", and you'll have 99% of the pro-poker posts/comments right there.
