Don't even bother trying to withdraw from swc. They're sending btc cashouts with the bare minimum tx fees, which will take who knows how long to be confirmed. My last cashout didn't have a confirmation after 3 days until i piggybacked it into another wallet.

No fkn idea why they would do this unless they're insolvent. Every other site that does crypto withdrawals charges the fees to the player, yet swc doesnt even provide the option.

I've played on swc since btc was at $18. Played without incident. Enjoyed the mixed games, had an overall great experience. With btc's recent price increase I blinked and withdrew in 3 transactions. All were quicker than I expected. No longer than 18 hours into my account.

SWCpoker has now been taking deposits for 48 hours without a single person saying it has hit their account despite over 20 confirmations for most. Support emails have gone unanswered, and they have made no comment on their social media despite typically being quite active.

Is it possible they are in trouble? Apparently withdrawals have been taking up to a week instead of the usual 6-12 hours. All i know is that whatever you do, you should not be depositing there until they come out and make a comment on the situation being rectified, and why this has taken place...

It is entirely possible that they are in financial trouble, games have been drying up and they admitted that withdrawal fees were "too expensive" for them, which is a ridiculous statement for any poker site to make. ("With increase in Bitcoin usage the fee became a big expense. Some players made lots of withdrawals so we would pay the fee." here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?to...10#msg56485110)

And they said:
"To respond to your question, the SwC deposit system has 99%+ uptime, where deposits are credited after 1 confirmation." (here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?to...06#msg56559806)

I am assuming, that number is going down recently.

Now, bitcoin had a recent spike in blockchain traffic due to mining hashrate effectively being halved following a power outage in China, that caused a "traffic jam" not unlike the Ever Given. That being said, this shouldn't affect deposits at all.

I would second your words of caution when it comes to SWC in recent months.

While it is right to be cautious, if they were intending to steal player funds the deposit page would still be up. The fact they have taken it down suggests a software issue. As for the fees, when it is common practice for a lot of players to deposit and withdraw after each session, with BTC price spiking and blockchain fees rising, it was eventually going to be an issue.
That said, they have handled communication about these issues horribly, so it's only natural players are getting suspicious. And pissed off. Hopeful they get it sorted soon.

Announcement on bitcointalk and twitter - some idiot put their wallet into maintenance mode while they tried to introduce user fee selection for withdrawals. They are saying depos should catch up soon.

That struck me as well-phrased .... "some idiot" often triggers unforeseen consequences during changes or software updates or some operational aspect of an online poker site.

(I've been "some idiot" on several such occasions.)

I have no specific knowledge about SWC, just what "some idiot" can and too frequently does unintentionally.

If you talk to my wife sometime...it's "that idiot" as she points my direction. She's probably not wrong.

Ofcourse mistakes happen. But wouldn't you agree that the frequency at which the idiot is let loose determines the competence of the underlying operation? That's the worrying part with SWC.

Shaqalicious, Ive been waiting almost three days for a withdrawal. SWC cashier says "complete" but exchange says "confirming".
Can you message me or help me understand what you mean/how to piggyback a wallet to push this through?

I'm not him, but I think I can help. In some wallets (this is Electrum), you can click on the pending transaction and see this:

There, you can increase the fee on your own, looks something like this:

and therefore push it to the top of the blockchain.

That’s quite helpful. Thank you. I appreciate that even tho post wasn’t meant for him. I’m sure it’s gonna help out a few people.

^^^^

on the mobile electrum app you just move the slider all the way to the right after you send your unconfirmed btc to a different wallet.

i discovered that this will not immediately push it to the top of the mempool because the blockchain will take an average of the 2 tx fees. so when SWC uses a tiny tx fee and you ram it to the max, it ends up being in the middle. but it should get confirmed within a few hours as opposed to days.

Are you sure? This seems...counter intuitive to how I understand Bitcoin, because the miner confirming it would scoop the fees. Can you give more details on this, just wondering...I guess it could make sense since it takes more block space, so the miners might avoid it for that reason, but still, for a very large fee they should be jumping on the opportunity to confirm txs, when avg fee is 10 sat/b and you have two txs, one for 5 sat/b and one for 150 sat/b, they should be happy to confirm both to grab the 150 fee, amirite?

2sat/b transactions are getting cleared within 2 blocks, SWC charges 4x that a for 50 block cashout and 30 times for 6 blocks. Solid. Ofcourse crypto noobs aren't gonna know this and choose the "fast option".

In reality, this means they will be charging you over $5 for a transaction that should cost 17 cents.

They also try to censor this in every other thread they have control over.

Be careful.

This online poker site has caused me to lose all control. I’m terrified for my life, and I don’t know what to do anymore. This is a plea for help. I appreciate any input.
I started playing on SWC in ~2015. It was a pretty low point in my life; I had just fled Vegas after being on the streets due to a meth addiction and failed poker career. Upon moving back home, a friend introduced me to Bitcoin. Shortly after that, I discovered Seals with Clubs.
Eventually, I became friends/partners with this guy named “chooseb”. He was often teased for speaking in absolute jibberish as he sort of made up his own language. I defended him, interacted with him, and eventually befriended him. He was a very mysterious guy, and I couldn’t even fully understand him most of the time, but I thought it was pretty cool tbh. I was extremely depressed and he would be there to cheer me up.
I maintained this weird friendship with him for years. We would do swaps, stakes, exchange loans, etc. At some point, he created a group of players on the site called the 7 horses. He would stake them, loan them, etc. The other horses besides myself included Xenophon, BossHog, BonxBonxBonx, DorinVandy, and others.
Choose disappeared from the site one day. And some time after that, I received an email from him saying there was a guy that wanted to stake me. Let’s say this guys name was “Leave Must”. He requested my #, and started texting me. This is when I began to know chooseb for who he really was, a man from Davis, CA.
I was a young kid, from a broken home to say the least, and this man befriended me, or so I thought. He would gift me or stake me various times throughout the next several years.
At the same time, Xenophon, aka “Dark Syndrome”, was going through a lot of troubles. He and his GF were arrested. He was doing meth, and losing his mind in a constant paranoid state. He did jail time, got out..
Somewhere along the line, my relationship with Leve and Dark went sour. Leve began lashing out at me on many occasions, sometimes for nothing at all. He would threaten me and my life. He has constantly been trying to find my location. I believe that him and Dark are plotting to harm me. This was eluded to on Darks FB page with posts such as “The end is nigh” and “Don’t stare into the abyss”. Any time that Leve did know my location, weird things would happen. The same people would show up and follow me around. The most recent time being Vegas summer of 2020. Situations surrounding this time lead me to believe that they were very seriously plotting to hurt me. There were multiple alarming events that transpired.
Two evil, naive and reckless criminals that frequent the dark web have it out for me. I don’t even fully understand why. I have been moving around all over the country nonstop for years now because I’m afraid for my life. I’m tired and can’t do this any longer. My life has been ruined. I’m contemplating suicide because I have no choices left. I don’t want to die, and I’m begging for your help.

Eh

First of all, I'm of course terribly sorry to hear this.

When you say "I’m begging for your help.", what is it you're hoping someone can do for you? I don't really see anything in your post anyone here can act on.

If you are truly feeling suicidal, there should be lots of resources available for you, and people who care and will help. Here's a good place to start:

https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topi...ide-prevention

Finally, if you think people are trying to kill you, and have credible enough reason to make you move around the country, surely you have enough to take to the police?

The bad mth will do that, get some vitamin C, and detoxic you are taking it much to hard.
Also who even plays there I see that you have not 100 players, mostly the same regs.
Also I love the five card Omaha what an easy game, truly meant for ABC. To bad those many shills are bots!

Likely stupid question, does Seals with Clubs compatible with any hud? Also are people overly concerned with cashouts to me 3 days doesn't seem that bad, Carbon can take over 2 weeks.
