There should be. They have the largest selection of games, by a long shot. Easy in/out with funds, etc....some glitches that are supposedly being fixed in the new software that's a month delayed already.

As someone that does a lot of marketing, I'm at a loss as to why they don't market it all.

One, or both, of you have no idea how Bitcoin works.

BTW, I'm playing now and everything is working fine.

Site is showing me a certificate error when I tried to check it out. PokerScout says zero players right now but peaked at 12 in last 24 hours so I guess software still works.

I've been emailing support since 11/6.
Hoping that someone at SWC can respond to those emails.

So I guess this won't run on XP. I know it's ancient, but I run linux an I have a valid XP license to run in VirtualBox. It has been fine until now.

BTW, Loader.exe gives the same error. But I tried the direct client program file just to check.

Just go through a browser and run the HTML5 client.

They just renewed their cert. Current one is issued by Let's Encrypt which is legit.

Saw a couple posts talking about problems with their site, it was probably because they were updating their SSL/TLS certificate.

I'd be interested to know if this site is legit and if you can use HM2 on it. Cheers!

FYI Windows XP extended support ended over four years ago, meaning the Operating System hasn't gotten a security update in over four years. The only thing XP is good for is hacking in a virtual machine or getting hacked. You reeeeeeeaaaaally don't want to be using XP for online poker or banking and **** like that.

I only run it in VirtualBox and only to play on SwC, with a minimal amount of BTC on the site. It is (was) the only thing I can't do on Linux. I don't even use a web browser in XP and would not dream of banking on it.

Anyway, I've tried out the new web browser client and it's sort of okayish. Not real thrilled with it. But I also dug an old 17" laptop out of a closet that has Windows 7 on it. That runs the new client with no problems.

I plugged the lappy into a 32" screen that usually does triple duty as a TV, 3rd monitor for my desktop machine and Raspberry Pi monitor. Had to unplug the Pi, though. So I've ordered a 3 port HDMI switch to replace the 2 port one. It looks good, but it's constrained to 1600x900 resolution by the laptop.

Fortunately, I use Synergy to share my mouse and keyboard among devices, even between Linux and Windows. So it's all seamless and I don't have to mess with VBox or XP anymore.

So it's all sorted and I really like the new client. Looking forward to playing some Short Deck when I learn a little more about it.

Speaking of rake - if I remember SWC's rake is one of if not THE most competitive in the biz? Anyone has comparison to stars or other sites available?

When the client starts it says it checks for updates, but I'm not so sure it does. I re-downloaded from the site yesterday and the file size was not exactly the same. I installed that and it has not crashed since.

Really loving the new software.

Every time the price of bitcoin drops, their rake gets more competitive :P

Haha, was thinking just that.

However, the bankroll shrinks in buying power fast so arguably the rake is the worst on SWC... unless BTC bounces

https://swcpoker.eu/house-rules#charge-rake

The rake will be 2.5% max no matter what. Many have done comparisons in this thread on even the last 3 pages. If bitcoin goes down to $100USD per coin the rake will actually go down since everyone will be playing 'nosebleeds' with early caps.

Can't blame seals for bitcoin flux. Unlike fiat sites you are gambling twice. It's nice though when bitcoin goes up and your roll increases without playing.

One other cool feature: rakeback is paid every day

New to btc poker! Fed up with the shady practices of other us facing sites(not to mention high rake!). Nitrogen vs SWC?? Been to both lobbies. Trying to make the decision on where to make my first btc depo.

Low stakes NL player w/ interest for learning mix & other game variants

Give SwC a try. The only thing it needs is more players and you can help.

Seriously. The new software is very good, rake is low, lots of games to choose from and deposit/withdrawal is quick and painless. Nothing to lose.
