Are there any particular reasons for avoiding sending bitcoins to SWC directly from Blockchain, like there are for Coinbase?

Blockchain isn't an exchange, so I don't think so.

It's been working fine for me

It's not a question of it not working, but of being identified as a transfer to a poker / gambling site and subsequent shutdown of the account, which has happened with Coinbase.

They just made some higher stakes tables available for the first time since the reincarnation.

I see 50/100 NLHE and 100/200 LHE in the lobby.

No, sending from Blockchain is good.

Blockchain is just a wallet, and they don't control your bitcoin, so you never have to give them your ID or anything. And they don't monitor/care what you're doing with your bitcoin.

I do love the new software too.

I would like to know is there any way to get the hands into HM, pokertracker and snowie for analysis.

Do any HUDs work there?

Odd. I was able to get it to install both in Wine under Mac OS X and using CrossOver, and it runs, but is very unstable and randomly crashes.

How I ultimately got it to work is simply by using VirtualBox with an XP (and later a Windows 7) image, then running the installer. It works fine on both my old 32 bit Intel MacBook (Snow Leopard) and newer Mac Mini (Yosemite).

I've been putting off installing and setting up VirtualBox, but finally got around to doing it today. I found an old XP disk (complete with key) in a junk drawer.

The client installs but when I open it an error box pops up.

"There are no communication settings available. The application will now exit."

Don't know why, since internet access is working and Carbon Poker runs without a problem. I'll fiddle around and see if I can get it going.

I can't get the software to run either.

-Using a windows 8.1 machine.

Program starts, lets me log in, then crashes if I open a table.

I have been playing for about a week with no problems at all (windows 7 pro). The new software is really really good.

  • create an account at swcpoker. no ID required. email address required
  • play freerolls
  • download a free Bitcoin wallet, Electrum or Multibit
  • look at localbitcoins.com for a dealer near you. pay cash
  • and/or sign up with ID and credit cards to buy bitcoins at at circle.com or coinbase.com
  • avoid sending Bitcoins directly to/from circle or coinbase, send to your wallet first, they like to avoid "gambling" sites, don't force them

after you do it, you will feel like a genius
You could also add a darkwallet transaction into this process:

Deposit (->), Withdraw (<-)
coinbase/circle <-> wallet <-> darkwallet <-> swc

This will add an extra transaction fee, but should ensure that you don't get blacklisted by coinbase/circle.

In response to the people running swc through a virtual machine. I have been testing the new swc software and it appears to be working great in the following environment:

osx 10.10 host
parallels virtual machine
windows 10 technical preview guest
