No go on Wine
Not like that, it won't. Try, i.e.:

Code:
wine msiexec /I 'z:\absolute\file\path\swcsetup.msi'
However it still doesn't work, it doesn't seem to be successfully conversing with the server.

(note: the above is not exactly a wine trick. That is simply what Windows does with an MSI when you click on it in explorer.exe due to the default "file association" in the registry).

Try to add @swcpoker.eu to your safe sender list.

Did you have an account on the old Seals site, that was linked to an email address?

I can sit at an empty table but if anyone sits me i get a message saying "the software has to restart" and it closes out. The same thing happens if i sit at an active table. I tried deleting and reinstalling and it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Did you get a message box that says that it sent an email to your registered email address?

Thanks. I had to use double backslashes to escape the illegal characters, but I got the setup to run. Of the installed programs I tried to run AutoClient.exe, PokerUpdate.exe and swcclient.exe. They all died with various errors.

I think you're right about the old site not updating instantly. Or maybe Micon's team doesn't have real time access to updated data from the old site.

I just hope support will respond and resolve this soon. I'd hate to lose all of my krill. Especially after having about 200 chips I was playing with just vanish when the site went down. sigh.

guess no one else ran into that issue...
Oh yeah i'm having this EXACT issue. been on day 4 of this, no answer from support.

Is anyone else getting the "Client must be restarted" message every time you try to sit at a cash game? If so what did you do to fix the problem?

Thanks

Check the posts in the Bitcoin talk forum.

Something about developing tools to get email addresses from the old site, but that is not verbatim.

Yes, they said that they're only getting the list of email addresses from the old site in batches every few days... so it's not updated real time.

Did you have the client installed during beta testing?

Its ok but has bugs like doesn't say what hand won in a description at end of hand. Doesn't give you won and lost amount at particular ring. And lastly when 2 players hu doesn't show cards until after the river. Has some descent features though.

Did you have the client installed during beta testing?
No, the first time I downloaded the client was on the re-launch.

Finally got it fixed. I think the support email guy manually associated my email. This was after trying unsuccessfully since monday.

Good news.

And they are doing all this so that we can bring our krill balances over, since krill never expires.

It should be much easier for new players who want to register and get a preferred user name.

Ah ok, I had a similar problem but mine came when I updated from the beta version after they re-launched.

I would open a table but it was blank inside, and then every time I tried to click anything I got that error and the client crashed.

Tried uninstalling and deleting every file that I could find that was associated with it and re-installing, but no luck.

Knowing support was busy I didn't want to bother them, so I finally did a system restore to before the update and then re-installed - and that worked.

Not sure if we had the same problem, but hope you get it fixed soon.
