Hi guys, Gareth left the company this summer. He was with the company for about 7 years and is a big loss for us. I'll be sure he sees this thread as always great for customers to comment on our service. Many of you likely interacted with William from Costa Rica via the VIP inbox. He is also no longer with the company.

The current VIP Club team is as follows:
Michal, VIP Club Coordinator - Michal previously worked in support as a poker specialist and is now part of the VIP Club team in the Isle of Man. He will likely be the one monitoring and updating this thread.
Chris, VIP Club Coordinator. Chris joins us in October. Chris has covered the live poker world as a journalist for many years and is well-known on the tourney trail.
Dylan - VIP Club Manager. Dylan has managed the VIP Club Live parties and was recently promoted to VIP Club Manager. He essentially supports all VIP Club activities as well as continuing to plan all VIP Club Live events (parties, concerts, Premier League tickets, etc.).
Myself - Head of VIP Club and Poker Promotions since April 2014.

As you can see, we are going through a transition process and are backlogged with a lot of activities at the moment. Michal will soon be returning to this thread to update it with progress.

The relevant parts, translated to my best knowledge are about the HIGHLY succesfull FTP changes:

On fulltilt they brought great changes that really work well against the things Patrick spoke about. I cant share numbers, but it works really well (. If you want to go to the Bellagio and you want to play 5/10, you cant pick and choose either. \\\\ I dont blame the players who do that right now, but it does destroy the ecosystem. Two years ago, players who deposited played alot longer with their money. And this is a problem. So I get the actions Full Tilt took, and I am happy it is succesfull. I dont know if amaya will follow suit, but it looks very likely to me, if something is a huge succes, why not implement it at PokerStars as well.

And about what is coming in the VIP/Rake changes:

I just came back from a long conversation with the bosses of Amaya. We talked about the direction of the company. Allthough alot of players will not like the way it is headed, we think it is good for the longevity of online poker. Some decisions are not good for grinders, but are for the ecosystem. I think Breakeven players will get it alot harder, but recreational players will like it alot more and the winning players will still win.

So get ready for VIP decreases, 0 table selecting and lets not forget that FTP also raised some rake on certain limits.

Joined this thread recently. Never done more than 220k vpps in a year before 2015.
Knew I was gonna manage 7-800k with "normal play" when I thought about trying this at end of July. Actually changed my mind again not to do it a couple weeks later but by the end of August I found my level of play had increased anyway so giving it another shot. A few weeks on I'm much more committed and confident. Did 120k August , done 100k sept so far . As shown was on 649k yesterday so still playing catch up for a long time yet.

Anyway I know it's not the best time to go elite giving the unknown VIP changes coming up but what the hell. Gl to all fellow grinders here
