Has anyone from the US tried withdrawing money from Stars via wire transfer and have you had any problems with it? Also if you don't mind telling me what bank you use. I use BOA but am a little worried about it.

I had a 5K check bounce and have had another 5K check withdrawal pending since 6/3 on Stars. I'm planning on playing a bunch of WSOP events and with estimated taxes coming up, I need to withdraw some money fairly quickly (quicker than 5K at a time via check).

Thanks in advance

Someone posted earlier that banks usually charge 30-50$ fee for an international wire transfer.

Can anyone confirm this?

thats pretty standard. I know of banks who let you get incoming wires for free... some banks will not let you get incoming international wires (the one that leaps to mind is ing direct, but im sure there are others) so make sure your bank allows them first. The fee your bank charges should be in the account disclosures. Or just call them and ask "what is the fee for an incoming international wire"

It would never be a percent.

Things to be careful of:

1.. Frequent large wires, especially international wires, get a lot more attention than comparable ACH transactions.

2. Your bank probaly asked you when you applied for your account if you intended to recieve international wires on a regular or somewhat regular basis. If you said "no" and start recieving international wires it could become a problem with that bank.

it will be bank dependent (your bank) but shouldnt take more than a few days. Some banks will literally proccess a wire instantly, james bond buying nuclear warheads style where youll see the money as soon as the other banks send.

Others can take days.

I'm a wire transfer virgin but I put in for one at 930pm ET and it went from pending to processed about eight hours later. My bank (Wells Fargo) has a fee listed of $10 for an international incoming wire but I'll just have to wait and see how long it takes now.

for withdrawing via wire transfer in the US, the two important identification codes you need to provide to pokerstars are the sWIFT number and ABA routing numbers, correct? I got a little bit confused with all the codes and was wondering if I provided the correct information. I didn't provide a BIC code (isnt the SWIFT code the BIC code anyway) or any other code that I'm aware of.

This is important becuase if you're utilizing wire transfers you BETTER be paying taxes on your winnings. Insta red flag for a transfer over $9999 i believe.

For those shopping for banks, FYI, TDBank has no fees for the wires and accepts incoming int'l wires.

Yeah when I used to get wire transfers from epass, they told me to leave the BIC blank. iirc it's a code for european banks.

I requested a wire for WSOP last Thursday 6/4. They requested a copy of my DL which I sent Friday 6/5, and it finally stopped showing as a "pending cashout" yesterday 6/8. It hasn't hit my bank yet, I'll let you know how it goes.

Bank of "Country of the FREE" charged me $30 for receiving a $5K transfer.
It took 3 business days to hit my bank account.

IBAN is a European bank thing. BIC = SWIFT.

I just did a wire xfer yesterday, and couldnt find a SWIFT code to put on the form. I even called my bank, and they said they didnt have one. My wire has disappeared from pending status now, so I assume its being processed and everything worked fine.

Anyone living in US get a Stars wire without using a SWIFT/BIC code?
