3) 100-250 bb deep tables

Went to this Stars discussion in Monaco and they know there should probably be changes. The key is to balance the interests of full stack regulars, short stacks regulars, and casual players.
They are probably still going to overlap, as that is the industry standard. As was WIDELY suggested in the previous thread (and not opted for) - 20-40, 35-100, etc. - Close to Full Tilt's structure (and a lot of others).

The thing is - keeping the Shorties happy, is kinda disgruntling the Full Stackers (as they perceive it).

Yea I guess I was thinking, there might be enough casual players that want to buy in 20-35 and just shove hands... to keep the shorties happy. Hard to know though.

What was that stuff about Monaco?

Do you have new information? PokerStars said they know they should change this?

This would absolutely be not only better, but make a lot more sense. Please join the main thread. It would be important to many people who can't meet with Steve or pokerstars.

If you make the shallow tables CAP i think Stars Loses have of there business to FT. Whether it be from casual players or shortstackers.

Do you think Stars should make the shallow 20/50bb tables cap?

Bump. 1 more vote for 600 total.

If you deduct the "another shortstacking thread?" votes ("nothing" votes) the distribution is:

68.74% FTP best
17.55% Current best
13.71% Old system best

I think this is conclusive evidence that the 2+2 demographic really does not approve of these changes.

And what is that demographic? I think primarily we're people who see poker as a sport of the mind and approach the game strategically. So I think that's where the disapproval is coming from: people who view the game strategically and want the game to be the best competitive platform that it can be.

It's also a lot more recreational players then people would think. For that fact, it's also got more pro shortstackers then would be on, say, Cardplayer or something if this poll was held there.

I would say it has some bias, but not nearly as much as many ss'ers would like to claim.
