Hey all i have an issue with skrill and would like input on this. I received this message when trying to deposit into a site not that long ago

"Your transaction was declined. Please retry your transaction. If the problem persists please contact support"

I received this message when depositing with skrill. I emailed skrill on this issue. They told me to delete my cookies/caches etc and mentioned it was a tech issue. I did this. I still have this error. They also mentioned to not use a vpn or proxy. I have never even used a vpn or proxy. I googled online and many ppl have this issue but read some ppl got it resolved by speaking to skrill. Skrill contacted me and told me to reset my modem and i said i have to get a new ip address and to do this via reset modem. But when i reset modem, it still shows same ip address. They told me this is a technical issue and nothing else. I emailed them back and told them i still cannot deposit into a site.

Skrill told me this issue at first due to some technical issue with the modem etc. However, the next email they sent me is ridiculous. They told me because i originally created my skrill account in canada... because of that, i can no longer use skrill to send funds to gaming merchants. I had left canada a long time ago and relocated to mexico a long time ago. i submitted my mexican verification documents to them a long time ago where they verified me and changed my skrill from canada to mexico. I never had an issue with skrill at all whatsoever.

I asked them why does this matter since my skrill account is mexico. They then tell me due to some recent law changes, any skrill account originally created in canada cannot send funds to gaming merchants. In case any of you not aware, skrill no longer allowed gambling transactions with canadian skrill accounts many years ago. However, this should not affect anyone who already changed their country with skrill a long time ago. They told me this change is recent.

I then contacted a major skrill/neteller affiliate who helps players on skrill issues etc. They spoke to skrill on this. They told the affiliate the reason why my transaction did not go through was because i used a canadian ip address. First off, that is false. I haven't been to canada in a long time. Im located in mexico. I tell the affliate this and told them that absurd reason skrill gave me. I asked them to ask skrill... can you confirm the reason why he cannot send funds to gaming merchants is because his skrill account was originally created in canada? Skrill told the affiliate they had no idea why my account had the issue sending funds. So basically the skrill rep they spoke to did not mention anything about a new law with canadian registered accounts since that seems ridiculous because if this was true, i would have seen people post about this on the forums. As many of you know, many ppl relocate to other countries etc. And of course many ppl who are in canada who registered with skrill then relocate to other countries obviously got their skrill acct changed to a different country. Yet i haven't heard any cases of people with this issue.

Does anyone know where this skrill representative got their information from on this? I have never heard of anything ridiculous like this ever. The affiliate told me skrill is a big company but they are very inefficient which is why they gave me a ridiculous response like this.

They did tell me i could create a new skrill account and then use that from now on. However this makes no sense at all. Now if they confirmed to the affliate this was indeed true... all skrill accounts originally registered in canada cannot send funds to gaming merchants anymore... okay that is fine. But the skrill rep they spoke to didnt mention this and mentioned they have no clue why this is happening. The interesting thing about this was a few days ago before i had this issue depositing with skrill, i had requested a skrill withdraw from a gaming site. That worked without any issue. Then suddenly later on when i went to deposit into another site, i get this issue, i do not believe this is the reason.

I've gotten the same thing and heard of others also. I think it might be on the sites end

They basically are giving me and the affiliate different answers.

I obviously would prefer to use my original skrill account like i have always. And the other issue is does anyone know if all sites indeed allow you to add a new skrill account and remove the old one? For example, many sites emailed me back and said this is allowed. But one site said this isn't allowed, said you could have only one neteller or skrill account. You cannot add a new one and remove the old one etc. I mentioned my situation and they said thats not allowed and i had to fix this issue with skrill. Most other sites who i got a reply back said it was fine... just tell them the new skrill account, then they remove the old account etc. My other issue is i still have funds on certain sites where the original deposit was with skrill and as many of you know, sites pay you out the method you last deposited etc.

Also skrill suggested and the skrill affiliate mentioned all i had to do was ask skrill to change my primary email in the new skrill account to my old email address. Basically transfer the email details of the old skrill account to the new one... then i could deposit/withdraw without any issue to my same accounts that use skrill. I was told this would work because it would show the same email. However, because its a different skrill account, thus different skrill account id, does anyone know if there would be any conflicts with this? I was told there won't be because if you have used skrill with a site for a while without issue, then any deposits/withdraw to that site with your new skrill account wont show any problems because it shows the same email.

The thing is skrill seemed to have suggested this as well earlier on this but i wasnt sure what they meant by this at first.

But i amcurious if anyone here had this issue or anything similar. Im curious if skrill has ever emailed you a response to your question and they come up with a ridiculous reason like this. And only for them to tell a skrill affiliate... we have no idea why his account can't send funds etc. This is strange because even though i never had an issue with skrill, i always read people having issues/complaints about skrill. I always thought skrill was great as any issue i ever had with my account, which was rare besides me asking about my vip status, they always gave me a clear, consise answer.

Hi there thanks for the response. When did you receive this message? Was it recent? I received it about 2 weeks ago. I then exchanged emails with skrill vip support the last 2 weeks and they have not been helpful at all which i why i contacted a skrill affliate on this issue. They told me they never heard of anything like this.

Where are you located in and what account is your skrill account? By any chance did you register it originally in canada but then changed the skrill country to another country?

Also others you heard that have the same issue, do you know if their skrill was originally registered in canada? When you say you got the same thing and heard others as well, do you mean this message of skrill transaction declined or you mean that ridiculous thing about all skrill accounts registered in canada cannot send funds? Do you know if this is even true? If so, then i have no issue with it. But they cant even confirm that is the reason with the skrill affiliate.

Also what site did you deposit into where you had this issue? I had this issue when trying to deposit into 888poker... then tried partypoker and same issue. I

Do you still have this issue now? Well i find it strange for it to happen on both 888 and partypoker. So i have not even attempted to try to deposit into another site because they had told me i cannot send funds to gaming merchants. However, the response skrill gave me is ridiculous. Their original response was actually you cannot send funds to a gaming merchant until you go back to canada. First off, you cannot even send funds to gaming merchants in canada. So it just seemed like the vip skrill rep who emailed me back had no clue what they are talking about. I am just wondering where are they getting answers like this before emailing it back to others etc. Also if this was true, then why a few days ago before i tried depositing into a site, i received a skrill withdraw from a site without an issue. So this really makes no sense at all.

Yeah it was a few weeks ago. Hmm, doesn't sound like it's the sites then because it was on BlackChip for me. Yes originally registered in Canada. I'd moved to Mexico--re-verified it there, and was still able to use it will spending time in Canada.
Recently I just figured they'd finally had enough of me using it in Canada and decided to block depositing. But I haven't spoken with them.

Edit: The other person I know who this happened to (also a few weeks ago) is registered to Malta but I'm pretty sure originally registered it in Canada. So it sounds like that could be it.

Hi there thanks for the response. Well i tried depositing on 888 and partypoker. I didnt try any other site because i figure it would have same issue. And i have not tried any other site because of what they mentioned to me about some new law for canadian registered accounts. Yea i dont think this is a site issue. But i thought it was some google chrome issue or something like that.

Im surprised you could use skrill in canada even after you reverified it in Mexico. Does anyone know is that even allowed? My thoughts would be anyone that goes to canada wouldn't be able to use their skrill account even if their skrill account is mexico or any other country that allows transactions to gaming merchants.

The person that you know had this happened to who is registered to Malta, do you know if they gave him a reason? Such as the reason they gave me with the new law about canadian registered accounts cannot send funds to gaming merchants anymore? If they gave this reason to a few others, then well no big deal. But i do not believe this is the reason because my thoughts are surely there would be a thread about this already.

Do you know if that person is still using skrill or created a new skrill account to fix this issue? The afflliate told me to create a new skrill account which i already did but i did use it yet because i wanted to know if others had this issue/problem. Because skrill mentioned to me you could create new skrill account, then they just transfer the old email details from old skrill account to the new account, then you can start using skrill again with no issue. Of course this would not work for you in canada but i mean for ppl in other countries besides canada.

Has anyone here opened a new skrill account due to whatever reason it was, then used it for the current sites they play on... and had no issues with depositing/withdrawing from sites like they did before? But most importantly, you had to request skrill to change the new skrill account email address to the old primary skrill email address you used on the old account... then things went on as normal?

Because i was told by the affiliate, just email skrill on this issue and have them replace your new skrill account email address with the old skrill account email address, thus transfer the old email address details to the new skrill account. Then when you do this and deposit/withdraw into sites that u use skrill with, there would be no issue because it would be the same email. The thing is i thought there might be a disprepancy because the skrill account number in the new account is obviously different from the old skrill account. But as long as its the same email, there is no issue?

Skrill is pretty frustrating to deal with as they could not even confirm the reason they gave me with the affiliate. Because if they did this, then obviously i would have no issue with this. But the fact that someone here mentioned they had an issue like this and heard of someone with same issue at least this means the skrill rep at least is giving this message to others as well. Then again, they might just be copying and pasting this and who knows where they are getting this information from since the skrill affliate asked them to confirm that was the reason... and they told the affliate, we dont know the reason.

Hey there. Did you get this issue resolved though? If so, how did you resolve it?
Google chrome is my main browser and when you deposit into say 888poker with skrill, it will take you to the skrill page on google chrome.

So im curious did someone make firefox their main browser or something and that might work?

I'm also curious but did you or anyone else tried to do this with another internet connection? Like use your internet on your cell phone to tether it etc and maybe that might work?

Yes you being in the UK should have nothing to do with this as skrill mentioned canadian registered accounts... but of course their skrill vip member cannot even confirm this with the skrill affiliate.

Im pretty certain this is tech issue but if there are more ppl here that confirm this is true, that canadian registered skrill accounts cannot send funds, then at least i know that is the reason. But i just cannot imagine this being the reason at all.

But most importantly, how did anyone here fix this issue is what im more curious about. Like did you create a new skrill account... did you just change your web browser default, did you use your phone internet connection etc.

Need more details.

Spoiler:
To not be a total troll a friend of mine has reported similar issues with skrill is UK based and always has been. You should try and be a bit more concise in the future its not necessary to write a 2000 word essay about this.

Yes i know skrill is a uk company. But if this was with a uk skrill account, then the issue shouldn't be that big of a problem since there are no restrictions. This issue seems to be different because they mentioned Canada in it.

The thing is their original email on this issue was you cannot use skrill to send to gaming merchants until you go back to Canada. This statement wouldn't even make sense because canadian skrill accounts cannot even send to gaming merchants. So thats when i thought... who is even giving this skrill rep this information because this is not even correct.

This is what they sent me via email.

The rule with Canadian registration was applied to all our customer due to legal requirement. Regrettably, no exceptions are possible.

In this situation I can change the currency of your EUR account to USD, let you transfer the balance for your current USD account and transfer also the emails. Alternatively, you may open a new account with new email and then we'll transfer all the details.

If anyone else received this email, i would like to know. Because if a couple of you received it, then no issue. But the skrill affliate spoke to them on this issue and asked if this was the reason, then that skrill vip rep told them they had no clue what the reason was. However, i have a tough time thinking a skrill rep could give a reason like this and its completely wrong. However, they gave wrong information earlier before that where they did not even know canadian skrill accounts cannot send to gaming merchants. I thought, how could a skrill vip rep give incorrect information like this via email. It almost seemed like they were pulling answers out of no where.

Who

Cares?

Unless there's some amazing conspiracy theory you have behind this that you'd like to share, I can't see why it matters if they only ****ed up the email to you, or to more people. Time to move on.

Sorry i meant my friend created his skrill account in the UK and has never relocated. Not sure what anyone on this forum can do better than skrill support which i find to be very good as a VIP and have a VIP manager on skype during office hours to help me with anything im stuck with.

Seriously Pauly your lack of initiative to sort out your own problems is astounding. All the fixes u asked if anyone else had used like using a different browser, trying a different connection did you try any of those before you posted? I know this is a alien concept to you but maybe you could try and resolve the issue yourself and help out others by posting the solution.

From reading your most recent wall of text seems they are offering you the solution on a silver platter.

You can open a new account from Mexico with no relation to Canada and continue with your business.

Hi there. Yes i would assume your friend created his skrill account in the uk and never relocated. How did he fix this issue by the way?

The browser thing. I had not thought about you could make say firefox as the default one instead until recently. I did not think it had anything to do with my browser as i always used chrome. Because when the skrill login shows up when you try to deposit, its with chrome so i did not think you could change that to firefox as the opening browser. I also did not thought about using another internet connection like my phone data until recently because i did not thought about this. At the time, i just exchanged lot of messages with skrill and then reset my modem to see if it works but none did and then contacted a skrill affiliate.

Yes they offered that solution for me and the skrill affliate offered that solution. My new skrill account is created and verified. But if i had thought about the browser thing/phone internet connection earlier, i would have tried that a while back to test if that would work. However, theres no point of me doing that now since my new skrill account is created and verified so im asking if anyone here tried this earlier since i assume most ppl probably did not create a new skrill account to resolve the issue. I could try this but this might cause an issue with my account since the new skrill account is created.

The affliate had suggested based on this, i transfer the funds first from my old skrill account to the new one. Then when i do that, i email skrill and have them change my new skrill email address login with my old one so details are the same. But I had thought... so wouldnt a site might notice your skrill id number is not the same as the one with them even though the email address is the same? Because when you request a skrill cashout, they always send a cashout to your skrill email address on file. So this does seem to solve the solution but im not sure exactly.

So i would like to know has anyone here created a new skrill account, then asked skrill to transfer their old skrill primary email address to the new skrill account, then they used the new skrill account with the old primary email of theres to log in to skrill... then had absolutely no issues depositing but most importantly withdrawing from sites that they already used before? I believe many ppl have multiple skrill accounts because they need to use more than 1 currency so curious if anyone did this and if theres any issue. Because if 888poker said this would be no issue, then i would just add this new skrill account and have all the sites remove my old one. Theres also another site or so where im waiting for a response on this.

Pauly can you provide more background information? Your situation seems very strange and unusual; I feel like there must be something important that you left out.

Please think about this a bit more, then come back and post all the details. We can't help you without a lot more information.
