Any thoughts about the new Cease and Desist order from the state of California? I don't see govt's allowing Bitcoins to continue to be issued and used.
All it does is prove that California is absolutely ignorant about Bitcoin. They are claiming that a non-profit advocacy group is a money transmitter. Even FinCEN got that one right.

Anyone know why there aren't any plo8 mtts listed anymore?
06-24-2013 , 04:36 AM
Looks like they revamped the tourny schedule and took out or changed all the ones I played
06-24-2013 , 10:58 AM
They mostly did away with the 10 After tourneys. This totally sucks.

CA has no power over Bitcoin. They don't even have power over The Bitcoin Foundation which is not registered for any purpose within the state.

It doesn't really matter what CA to try to stop Bitcoin transactions..but has anyone, ever for a second, ever though the one day the banks will just simply stop accepting transactions that come from bitcoin providers?

There will always be banks that accept bitcoin businesses. You might just have to start using Yen, Euro or Zloty's.

Pretty limited a few 2/4 chip, 6/12 and 10/20 games run mostly HU sometimes with 3 or 4 and once in a while more players.

Higher games are there but I don't play those and they mostly run HU I think.

Equivalents in $ is .20/.40, .6/1.20, 1/2 ...

Hope to get more going but still very small. Hope that helps.

Which makes it far less appealing to the masses.

It would be like trying to play poker online in the US now. Currency conversation and this and that rate, makes it's lame.

This is why bitcoin poker is such a hit, no?

I remember the good ole days of bitcoin poker ...

The videos honestly say it all and even without what your claiming, we shouldn't play there.

I won't sit here and speculate though. I like SWC, but I won't play there nor will I participate in this thread any longer. Good luck guys.

Mr. Doomsday is out!

I was just checking out the tournies and noticed some additional krill freerolls. There are now 4 of them at 500, 1250, 2500 and 50k krill with prize pools of 500, 1000, 2000, and 10,000 respectively. I checked the promo page and noticed some changes. Level 4 which has been TBA for quite a while is now 2% RB and level 5 which was 2% is now 5% RB. You now receive the RB awards one level sooner.

It's not all good news as they have instituted fractional krill. Also the krill calculation has changed. It is now the square root of the rake rounded down to the nearest 0.1 and the multiplied by (players dealt /5 )

The tournies are listed but I have not seen any announcements and therefore do not know when the krill changes take effect.

That new calculation was posted wrongly. It is actually "multiplied by (5 / players dealt)".

That gives 2.5x more for HU play and 5/9 as much for 9 handed play as previously.

The 2x mlutiplier for late night (2-10am ET) play is applied after that.

Changes take effect immediately. The new krill freerolls are in the lobby now (with new names).
