Hi guys,

A little help if you can.

I have been attempting for the last 6 days to withdraw funds from my stars account then to be told this....

Deposit and withdrawal transactions are currently disabled in your account as it has come to our attention that your account is associated with a player with whom we have an outstanding issue.

In order to assist you in clearing your account, we kindly request an explanation of your association to '******'. (players name left out).

It is standard procedure to request an explanation when this type of situation occurs.

We do not mean to imply any wrongdoing, however, please understand that we have to make security checks routinely to make sure that PokerStars remains a safe and secure environment for its players.

I was in shock to get this message as I've never heard or played with this player before!
I understand Stars have to look into possible fraudulent behaviour or any form of wrongdoing, I can except that.
What I cannot except is that in the past 6 days all my attempts to contact Stars about this have gone ignored. I'm not getting any response what so ever!!! I dont know where i stand or if they are even getting my messages!

My question is... Has anyone had something like this before and is it normal for Stars to just ignore their clients in these situations?

Thank you in advance for any info, as you can probably understand, this is very stressful and i feel helpless.

Are you a greek spingo player and the player is akis? If not then just wait. I got that email like five times a few months back. It was annoying for sure.

No no. How long did you have to wait before you were able to withdraw funds again?

3-4 days and every time the same procedure :

- Try cashing out
- Deposit and withdrawal transactions are currently disabled..
- Send email saying have no idea who that player is
- Thank you for..
- After couple of days all good you can cashout now

Is your account open and you can play still? Mine was every time.

Yes, i can still play. Although im not eager to, If i go and hit a big score (MTT) then get told i cant have my money that would destroy me!

Ill just wait it out i guess, see what happens.

Its very wrong they don't even respond to let you know their still looking into it.

don't play, imo

You must be patient now, it is hard to do, but this is going to take some time and they are not just going to ignore you or forget about you. They are well aware of your situation and they are talking to the right people in the company to handle your situation, which takes (too much) time.

Messages? In the plural? No wonder you're not getting a response if they're having to deal with more than the standard reply from you, which should be "I don't know who he is" and then wait
