I emailed them and got the same standard email reply. Their customer service email must be blowing up and I hope they fix this asap. Out of curiosity, has anyone tried calling?

Nope, can someone try calling please and press them for answers on why they made such a ****ty update lol

They could have just gotten rid of all HUDs.

Not to mention this was live for 2 days on Bodog, they got a lot of complaints yet still rolled it out on Bovada. WTF is going on?
That too is my biggest issue. That and the text is unreadable when the window becomes smaller. It was flawless before.

Wow this is incredible. I've never seen this level of incompetence from any company. If I was a first timer on Bovada; I would take one look before immediately taking my money elsewhere. Software was bad before but 100% playable. When even the lobbies lag before loading you have problems....

I don't know if you ever played the iPad/iPhone browser app they have but this is a direct port of that client. The loading of tables is identical, the tables are identical, the cards look just like it and the text is weird but worked fine on an iPhone. We now have the mobile client on computers.

I can't recall exactly but I'm pretty sure they had no Stud8 or Stud on the mobile app. That would make sense why they removed Stud from the PC client.

FWIW, they did give us back downloadable hand histories, because people (presumably almost all regs) complained so much.

Do you remember "New" Coke?
01-07-2016 , 04:08 PM
Has anyone noticed the settings getting all messed up? Preferred seating doesnt work and i am seeing RABBITS that i dont wanna see lol. And 4 color deck? Not that I mind but im not used to it. And the settings wont save when i try to fix it.

Also yes...The lag....
01-07-2016 , 04:09 PM
My experience with the client is the exact opposite of what you guys seems to be having. I'd say the cards and actions are about 20% faster than the old client - feels sort of like Bovada on meth, because frankly the old software was much slower than WPN's. I do not like the cards though, the text is bold and hurts my eyes trying to read it.

I honestly dont think its a big deal. The lag is annoying but they will fix it at some point.

I have been playing regularly on the Bodog.eu site for several months now on my Mac. Since the last update, I cannot open tables from the lobby. The lobby looks correct but when I go to open a table the table screen pops up stays black, like the fraction of time before the table loads, it get's frozen. I get the spinning beach ball for my curser and then have to force quit the App.

I have been dealing with Bodog CS since yesterday. It started out well, but today's email from them took giant steps backward. It felt like they hadn't read my emails and we were back to step 0. I guess Bodog support was "just clicking buttons".

I have updated Java and searched my computer for answers to this dilemma, but to no avail. The lobby seems to not be able to open new windows. Not just tables, but also the account and bonuses tab. Firewall is off.

Does anyone, especially Mac users, have any idea's I can try? I"m not good with computers.

just started session. WOW. looks like no Bovada in my schedule for a bit!

It's all about your computer. If you are playing on high resolution screen the new software works great. For the first time since I switched computers you can actually read everything in the lobby. Everyone needs to calm down. They will work out the bugs.

Are you running 1440p? I'm at 1080p and it looks like absolute trash. Try re-sizing the windows and text becomes unreadable. It scaled perfectly before. Can't 4 table at the size I used too.

I posted this in the other tread too guys. I am bovada regular in big PLO games.

I actually think we should all try and give Bovada the benefit of doubt here guys. We should all tone down the rage.

Bovada or Bodog has served the online poker community for well over a decade now in a fair and good fashion. Other sites have cheated, scammed, run away, stole money etc. etc.

They have been a bright spot through all the bad times. Its a place for recs to play, and its a place for serious players to still try and eak on some earnings (and actually get paid) in this terrible environment since April 2011.

IF ANYTHING, we should all be standing by Bovada and supporting them. Hopefully there is a good reason for what they are doing.

I love Bovada. Have never had a single issue with software or with cashouts. But it's hard to "stand by and support them" when you cant even play on the site.

+1

It just froze me out of a HU match completely at the first time i knew of this update. Worth complaining for a refund (which i imagine to be unlikely)?

OK, point taken.

Making known the negative issues with the recent update is valid. Hopefully bovada mgmt reads it and makes the correct changes.

But everything else in the tread is garbage: ie. "I am withdrawing all my money"; "taking my business elsewhere"; or conspiracy about them turning into a mobile phone game only.

All of the bull**** posted ITT is hurtful. The recs will read it and give them a reason not to deposit.

Yes - 1440.

Also a bug was when my mouse hovers over a button it would click the button without any such setting enabled on my computer. AWFULLLLLL

You hear a bunch of people say "Has anyone called or emailed Bovada about this" and that approach is terrible.

How can they even consider switching it back or making changes if very few people report the problems?

I understand and agree Bovada seems like they don't care but. Some might think it's a lost cause but if a few hundred people give up in trying by not doing anything at all waiting to hear what others hear from Bovada then it's not as effective as everyone telling Bovada your new software is junk so please considering calling or emailing them.
01-07-2016 , 05:27 PM
emailed them just now, calling now as well and everyone who wants a fix should at least take these two steps. Personally I wont even bother to complain about the fonts, the lag is the main issue

I emailed them and got this reponse:

The irony in all of this is exactly what you're saying. Meanwhile, poker execs and people in the poker software circles have more or less black listed bovada over the years. When in fact, they've been more stand up than any of these other sites or companies. The only problem is they gave the big finger to the US govt, where in fact they were correct in their position and the world courts agreed with them.

I don't want to derail the thread. The update is awful, but my advice to everyone complaining is, just send a polite e-mail to their support about the issues you're having. They will eventually address these issues. The bugs and issues will get worked out, so have patience and there's no need to panic about anything at this point.
