So remember this 'Real Deal Poker' site?

When I registered for this site, I created a unique email address for my account there, and I've just received my first email to it in 2-and-a-bit years - spam for some site called 'gamblem--x'.

Ironic that they would sell their customer database to spammers in this fashion.
It's possible that one of their third parties did this.

Seriously though, interested to see how this all shakes out and how it effects online poker.
It likely will have a similar effect as it did the first time around - essentially none. A handful of riggies loved it (until they believed it was rigged). They never got enough money in play to do anything, and they quickly failed.

If the new owners go with a different strategy than "made by riggies for riggies" then all they will be is another small room with minimal or no traffic at this point in the market. Hard to imagine any world changing innovation that will be had and likely they will appear and vanish or appear and barely exist without much notice.

This thread did feature some genuine shills, though I doubt any of those will be back either.

All the best.

Check out the youtube part on the video. They are not getting started until april but its a real deck thats computerized you can even cut the cards. IT will be the first poker site I ever trust is 52 cards and is really random. But its not for american players so that sucks. THat will be first site i do a real big deposit with. IF these other poker sites could do this they would get a ton of traffic. But check out there rng. http://www.realdealpoker.com/ go to the youtube section. Its pretty sick. It will revolutionize online poker if the other sites go along with a system like this. With dwan, ivey and antonius pretty much abandoning online poker its a big hit to online poker. I don't think they trust the rng is for real. I think they would trust this. ANd i have nothing to do with tis site i thought it was just cool a new style rng that we could actually trrust that could change online poker. I think its a game changer.

This dream is over and at a huge cost to the operators

I met those guys, and they were nice guys who worked hard. I still have my real deal hat, if you are interested in an 'industry curio'.

lol at OP.

Not only for not realising the site is dead, but also for not realising this sites shuffle could have easily been rigged just as any other site. Saying you would trust that sites deal more than you would trust Stars, from watching that YouTube video on their site, shows that you're not very intelligent.

Stars > any other company, poker or non.

If you had searched for this defunct terrible website, you would've discovered that their shuffle method is significantly non random and arguably worse at randomness than any existing site's RNG.

Not at all surprising that you'd buy right into the Real Deal hype.

It's nothing more than a gimmick. There is nothing more random about their shuffling machine than a RNG. If anything it is probably less random. And considering that operators can see the cards, the system comes with its own built-in god-mode.

The first time around the riggies were excited, but they also started believing it was rigged pretty much right away. Should be no difference this time if they ever go live again, before going dead again.

All the best.

Saw some post on LinkedIn that they are looking for brands to join the network. Yes, solid bump to the thread after 4years. On mobile atm so didn't look into the info too much.

They are better than RNG shuffled decks!

And don't pay attention to those "provably fair" gambling sites launching. Real deal is the future!

Can't believe this site is still "alive" with no poker game for anyone to play on.

Yeah, they are on the hunt. They emailed us looking for some kind of partnership. I'm fairly certain we didn't even bother replying.
