RTR, what were the reasons for redesigning? I cannot think of any problems with the previous site and cannot recall anyone complaining about anything.
Cheers
Hey guys, thank you for the feedback. This is exactly the sort of stuff we want to hear. We would like the occasional "great site" comment to of course, but we welcome all constructive criticism and would be grateful if you could post it
here in the forum then we can track it all in one place.
To answer why we made the changes: -
The old site was a few years old and lacked a lot of functionality. Whilst we were very fond of the old orange site, it did get rather cluttered towards the end. In March 2010 we sent out a newsletter asking all existing RTR members to take part in a survey about what we could do to improve the site. We got hundreds of replies and taking as much as we could on board we launched the website as you see it now.
We realise that it wont be to everyone's liking and that some people don't like change to begin with, but we hope you will get used to it in time. We have added a Forum and Free Training (DragTheBar). We have added more functionality within the Your Account section so that everything is more transparent for the player so that they can see the deductions being made by the rooms (as and when we receive the information). We have made our promotions way easier to understand and navigate and everything now loads a lot faster.
Again, we appreciate that we can't please everyone all of the time, but we do our best to try to, so please give it a fair try and a bit of time at least and if you do have any suggestions (other than "Put the old site back up"
), we
really would like to hear them and work with you continually improve your experience of the site.
Best wishes and thanks again for your continued patience.
