I can't see how they could let you play with that $10,000, if that is their idea.

Let's say I deposited real money and then won your "free" $10,000, how would they pay me the $10,000? (I'm assuming that as I have deposited real money, I wouldn't have any withdrawal restrictions imposed on me.)

If no one deposits real money, from which they can rake real profit, the whole system breaks down very quickly, imo, and long withdrawal waiting lists result. Again.

You got a point Mike. Obviously this depends on how much money Pure has to pour out on players in an afford to get the site off the ground. The $50 bucks is the aprox industry standard for player acquisition. However the "phantom funds" would make me vary of playing on the site.

When I try to do the maths on this I end up with

X rake on nothing + nothing (real) won = nothing to cash out.

Let's assume all players that have been tracked in Nutz's Lock cashout reports would create an account on Pure and have their Lock balance added as a bonus to play-through. We would talk about 400-500K in bonuses being awarded across the board for players to release. So Pure's player acquisition cost would just go through the roof.

The site would need a lot of other players actually making depositing and raking in order to cover these bonuses or simply have that money on hand. If not then I don't see how the site would make money from rake through phantom cash.

I figured someone else would have posted about this by now but since no one has, I will. It seems to me after talking with support through email, that aside from the start up $50, Pure Poker isn't "giving" former Lock players anything. Meaning, whatever balance up to $5000 that a player claims they are owed from Lock will be placed into "free money" on Pure Poker, which can only be released through playing with available funds in poker, casino or betting. Here are the quotes;

"Free Money cannot be withdrawn from your account. As you play any of our sportsbook or casino games your Free Money balance will be used in tandem with your real money at a ratio determined by the casino and sportsbook management. Rack back Player will have their free money converted to real cash within 5 days after months end at their pre determined Rack back levels."

I got this same email. So am I reading this right that if you are a cash game player you get it released at 50% rakeback, but if you play tournaments/SNG's it's only 33%? So if I have a 5k bonus and only play SNG's I would have to put in $15,000 in rake. Probably not going to mess around with this.

Until a good number of cashouts have been seen from this site, why on earth would you ever consider playing there instead of a site that has been solidly paying out for years? And the higher their equivalent RB % is, the more cautious you should be.

Actually, a bunch of people have been posting since day 1 that it would work in that fashion, and I think someone posted about a similar email. But still, it's good to get an email out there that so clearly spells out exactly how it works.

I also play at pure poker ! they put in my account $50 to get me started from lock poker and after a week I made a western union withdrawal for $650, after 3 hours and 29 minutes I got the tracking number and I had the money !!! that was insane I couldn't believe it !!! Another false fact. Lock did not own the software. They were a skin. Just like purepoker does not own the software. A poster with 2200+ comments should at least know the basics. The network can chose at its own discretion who to direct incoming traffic too once lock left. This is a deposit w/d thread. Allow players to post about their experience which is what i came here for rather than filling this thread with garbage. There are plenty of threads for that.

Since only 1 other person chimed in on a deposit/withdrawal ... I will give some information and my horror story...

Regarding deposits. ..
From Support: Since my initial deposit was from the lock transferred (the $50 you start with) I was able to withdraw any method. I Chose the Greendot method which was $4.99 I got the money in about 35 hours YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

Process for Greendot withdrawal: I was asked to give my greendot CC number and zip code.
I did as asked and gave my zipcode. 2days later I got funded. 2 days after that my card is locked and i had to call in to unlock it. I was told i got usspicious activity my balance can be spent but I can no longer reload or EVER get another greendot card.


Cliffs.
1. Was able to withdraw a few hundred from my initial free $50 from lock to greendot
2. I gave them greendot info and I guessed they loaded from bank or phone
3. I receive funds in 2 days/ 2 days later card is locked until i call in
4. Informed due to suspicious activity I cannot add any more funds or ever get another greendot card because of suspicious activity
5. TY Purepoker I have used Greendot card for years for online sites never had any issues until you guys

Free Money anaysis:I have a balance of around 90 something on lock. I was able to get $50 free and rest is in a balance caleld free money that is unlocked based on rake.

I am able to see how much free money is unlocked ( i guess as a rake back and im able to cashout/play with those funds once i generate the required rake. It is released at $1 or $1.50 at a time (cant remember off hand)

I do think purepoker will pay people out even the free money as it is released but I would not deposit on the site if I had a chance to play on Intertops instead.

P.S I dont knwo how they do payouts for Greendot or WU but STAY AWAY they probably have wierd/shady ways of paying out unlike other processors which will flag your name in Greendots/WU system and get you banned.STAY AWAY FROM THOSE WITHDRAWAL METHODS

me sentiments exactly. I use the card just for online poker since i hate verification process and emailing a copy of my actual bank cards.

SO i didnt think it would hurt to give them the actual #s so i make deposits to sites all the time giving them the same info. My guess is thye probably used a bank account in some remote country to fund the Greendot instead of money paks and it flags the accounts.
Maybe this is why Greendot is no longer a withdrawal option

I think Pure got off to a pretty rough start by making some extremely misleading statements and, intentionally or not, deceiving people. But to try to suggest they did anything remotely close to hacking Lock's software is silly IMO. Without knowing all the facts behind how Lock left Revolution, I'm inclined to blame Lock at least as much as Revolution for the way everything went down.

Can you clarify this part? I can only see the total amount in the free money account, but as I play, it doesn't change. I was told that money would be released on Dec 5. Is that how it works for you?
