Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

GPS and IP Restrictions are the things on the surface that thwart collusion. The RNG is authenticated by a 3rd party. As for any additional measures I am pretty sure that is up to club/union owners. I'd imagine over half are just lazy and just pile up the rake so they don't actively answer any complaints from players but who knows. Pretty sure I am just echoing this sentiment when I say: Keep the bare minimum on these types of clubs, any sight of something shady...even if it is something as trivial as not getting your full rakeback every week just bail, there is a few unions out there with pleanty of clubs to join.

Effectively none. They have IP restrictions, but that just means that you have to go on mobile data to sit multiple times at the same table, and doesn't help at all if you have multiple people sitting in the same game(s) and communicating via skype. The app developers don't care because they don't make money off of the actual game play, and the people who run the rooms don't have any tools to see if cheating is going on. And to be honest, most people who run rooms don't know obvious cheating when it happens in front of them. And to be really honest, most room owners, if collusion is proven and brought to them, prefer to sweep it under the rug because they are scared of bad publicity and people leaving their room.

I'm sure you mean well, but saying things like that really undermines the real issues that the platform has. There aren't bots on the site, there aren't superusers on the site. There are people who sit with three cell phones and three accounts on three different clubs in the same union and see 15 cards per hand in five card plo games.

Club promotion of any kind is banned on 2+2. Search on other social forums like Reddit or Facebook and you should be able to find some.
Is it permitted to point out reputable Facebook groups or would that be spam as well? I haven't used that site in years. I wouldn't even know where to start. Just trying to get a little better idea of what's out there. Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

All promotion is banned I believe. Can't mention any clubs etc... I think it is better that way anyway otherwise we just get people in here spamming non stop.

I haven't taken video of people cheating other people, no. But the backend has zero protection against it, and the club owners have zero tools to protect against it, or to even figure out that it's happening. They can't even see hand histories.

You can see for yourself if you really want to, just get a couple of your friends together and all sit next to each other on mobile data and play at the same table. Please don't actually attempt to cheat people, but if you were curious if it'll let you sit, try it at an empty table or better yet open up your own club (it's free) and try it there with play money.

Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

I have played on PPP for quite some time now and if there is cheating going on, I would suspect it happens at PLO4 or PLO5, but even there, I staked a lot of players and they all did very well (beating games at 8evbb+).
At NLHE, it would be a lot tougher to have any influence on the game unless the cheater has like 3 accounts on a 6max table.
Club owners do not have any tools to verify if cheating is going on, but players can tell their agents and he and the owners can decide to do something about it or not. Hand history mining is available too so it could help to verify claims

Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

the key is to stick to like PLO $100 and below. there the games are super soft. you can literally find tables where all your opponents are fish, so there is very little chance of collusion, or even if they are colluding they don't know wtf they are doing. once u get higher then it becomes pretty dicey. the best bet for mid to high stakes is live poker.

I know of one US club that was kicked from a US union for amongst other things high stakes PLO collusion. So clubs do monitor that sort of stuff as best they can. At least the main clubs, can't speak for smaller clubs though.

PPPoker has GPS protection not just IP protection also. Works within a few hundreds metres if turned on in the tables. It's not perfect but it exists. I haven't been able to sit on tables while in live poker rooms a few times actually haha.... screen sharing isn't anything new though happens on all online poker platforms so obviously would be happening in the higher limit PPPoker tables sometimes also.

Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

I recently joined PPPoker and I received this message yesterday. Ive always suspected collusion at these tables but wasn't sure how to prove it. How are these guys colluding if it has GPS and IP restrictions ? are they calling each other on the phone and telling each other what they have ?? And how do you think they finally got caught ?

Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

Collusion is in every club. And it’s ridiculous and unfortunately ruins the experience.

I’d say 50%+ of tables of PLo have 2+ players working together (stakes higher than .50-$1)

Re: PPPoker Discussion Thread

Have any of you guys ever been kicked from a table before? It happened to me twice tonight (on both of my accounts at the same table). I don't play both accounts at the same table simultaneously, but it happened to both. Making me a bit paranoid.
