A good suggestion that you may have missed (in fact I think it appeared in another thread) was to merge the SNG and MTT favourites into a single tab. Also the ability to resize the "favourites enabled" box would be helpful.

We already have a request in to allow resizing of the favourites filter area - the main issue with all these small requests is getting developer cycles to address them. We have a long list... But your lobbying for them here is helpful, so keep asking.

There isn't anything that personal in the task manager. Just names of applications. Credit card numbers have nothing to do with this. You are the one making up stupid things.

When you walk into a casino you can see so many things about other players, like their clothing, their hairstyle, if they are using a mobile while they play, their posture, facial expressions and what not. Reasonable to ask to see the software players use online.

It is just an idea.

It's a silly idea, IMHO, as I said above, for example due to:

• technical reasons (for instance do you expect Stars to display all processes running on each player's computer? do you know what this would entail? if you only mean the "poker" ones, then it's only going to be programs known by Stars to be poker programs, which means your idea is circular in its effect)
• legal reasons (not legal for Stars to do this without consent, for various grounds depending on where you are in the world)
• PR reasons (which is why Stars isn't going to ask for any such consent, not least because the games would be ruined by having some feature like this in the face of casual players)

Well it is a suggestion taking into account that different types of software is increasing so quickly, and sometimes it can also be disguised.

If Stars could simply show the poker applications it would be good but given there is not much to hide in task manager they could as well show the whole list cos no one cares if someone is running iTunes and Internet Explorer.

Legal reasons: hm it can simply be a requirement to join.

Follow-up: Again, thanks for the suggestions and comments from TimTamBiscuit, PJs Ronin and The Imp – it’s was a good discussion which I shared with the team. As The Imp mentioned, we do have a way to lower table caps for players who take too long to act on an aggregated basis (that is, over the course of a month or so rather than one specific session). Beyond that, any issues you have with specific players habitually taking too long should be forwarded to Support so they can investigate whether corrective steps are warranted.

Please keep in mind that we can’t anticipate every offensive term that might result in a chat ban, so there will always be new ground covered by players reporting something they find offensive. Regarding the automated process, I will share the idea with the team but it probably represents more of an increased security risk than it would be worth, considering the relative infrequency for getting a stuck login. In any case, the best solution is for us to improve the account logout handling for multiple devices so getting stuck becomes even more infrequent or nonexistent.

There may be a partial workaround using Home Games. Create a club, ask the people you would put on an exclusion list to join your club. If you all select the club option to allow other members to see your status, then you will be able to at least see who is online (i.e. logged in to the client). It won’t reveal which tables you’re playing, which is probably mostly what you want the exclusion list for.

It’s not that the idea doesn’t have some merit, it’s more a matter of the long backlog of ideas and improvements we already have in the pipeline, and the fact that we’d be introducing a fair amount of complexity into something that is already straightforward and streamlined. I really want to know, how come the whole lobby and program in general is so slow in MAC compared to the windows version? It is just... why is that? The windows PS7 version already has raeched a smooth level performance, but in MAC makes me wanna cry.

At least the performace of PS6 was similiar the windows version.

I appreciate your response but I think the central issue is being overlooked. I do not have a problem with any 'specific player(s)' (mass tabler) because if it was just one I would avoid him/her like the plague and get on with things. However, when there are 3, 4, 5 or more of these folks at a (full ring) table then the whole table slows down. When this happens how does support apportion 'blame' to any one individual and reduce their cap? In fact, I become as guilty as the mass tablers because the table is so slow I go off doing other things and wait for the alert sound to bring me back.

I have made complaint to support b4 and was told that the issue has been raised to a higher (black hole) level.

Settings keep not being stored for functionality after I set them !! I am new to windows though but somehow hot keys are definitely saved, apply changes etc but then nothing. I 100% have them turned on.

Also it seems as though there is definitely somehow more flashing on screen in Windows rather than Mac. I use the highlight table option in Stars. Can anybody confirm ways to reduce any constant flashing to 0 !!

Also how do I cycle through the client ie Stars windows not all my desktop windows?

Mac had a ctrl key that cycled in-client windows but it wasn't an application specific hot key.

The "Micromillions is here" news item keeps going back to unread status, might be each time a new event starts (it has the next event listed). Too many news popups when starting the client too, the whole point of having a news tab was to do away with the annoying popups! At least make it optional.

to add to this, i realize there is the RSA security token which i already have

i just think u shouldnt have to pay to secure ur account (the token is only free for SNE), and google authenticator is a free option

having a free option will also benefit stars in having many more people adopting the 2 factor login. this will subsequently reduce the number of investigations for fraud/hacked accounts/etc that stars have to perform. this is a win-win for both players and stars

It's my guess that your comments/requests are not going to be answered as long as you continue to use your tone. Would you respond if someone spoke to you that way? Would anyone?

Personally I would rather they add new features and games rather than the functionality you are asking for. I mean, how many people even have 18 filters, much less 18 satellite filters? I would guess that programming for a singular power user just doesn't make sense. Be realistic man. Or what are you, 8 years old?

Windows 10 Support

Although we have run Windows 10 through our QA test process and it is now officially supported by PokerStars, the incredible variations in our players’ hardware and software configurations is impossible to fully replicate - so we anticipate that some of you will uncover issues we did not. For the most part these will be minor graphic issues.

If you do encounter a problem after switching to Win10, please contact Support with as much detail as you can provide. It is very important that you tell support you are using Win10 (add that to your subject line) and that you indicate your PokerStars client version (the 5-digit build number on Help > About PokerStars - see screenshot above).

Also, a screenshot of the issue will be most helpful in guiding our investigators to reproducing what you are seeing.

All Games



We changed ‘Main Lobby’ to ‘All Games’ for the lobby navigation in the header because it is a more descriptive term aimed at new players (who are taken to Quick Seat lobby after the client installs and otherwise may not understand that the main lobby is where they can find all the games we offer).

Furthermore, we will be changing some of our other content to introduce the term ‘Game Lobby’, which will help distinguish between the primary client window (Game Lobby) and the ‘Tournament Lobby’ window (i.e. the popup window with detailed information for a specific tournament). Depending on your tab selections in the lobby header and on product availability for your location, the Game Lobby might display a selection of Poker games (as presented by either the Quick Seat, All Games or Favorites lobbies), or a selection of Casino games or available Sports bets.

So, within the Game Lobby, you may have the Poker lobby, the Casino lobby or the Sports lobby, depending what’s available for your location.

Sorry if that’s TMI – but I wanted to give you an overview so you’ll understand the context if you encounter some of these terms in our messaging, tooltips & button labels going forward.

New option to control ‘Player Info’ tooltip at tables

This helps to resolve an issue many players posted about several months ago. When you hover your cursor over another player’s seat position, an information tooltip will appear. Some players want it to show instantly, some want there to be a delay and others don’t want it to appear at all. This new option allows you to choose how it behaves.

Go to Settings > Table Appearance > Table Display and look for the ‘Show Player Info on Hover’ option.

I believe that for Win/PC it defaults to Instantly, and for Mac it defaults to ‘After Brief Delay’, but you can change it to the other value easily. If you don’t want it to show at all, simply uncheck the box to disable the option.



The brief delay is about a half a second (based on input from a number of players). I know some of you asked for a user-selectable variable time, but we had to make some trade-offs to get this done.

Added ‘Spin & Go’ to the ‘Apply To’ menu

This was another forum request from a few months back. In the Table Themes panel, you have the ability to apply your table theme customization to specific poker types, but Spin & Go wasn’t one of them. With this build, we’ve added that as an option, and placed it below Zoom so you would be less likely to mis-click SNG when you meant to click SPG.



We’ve recently had a request to add other variants as well. I’m looking into it.

‘Play Now’ confirmation for Spin & Go

When observing Spin & Go games, there is a ‘Play Now’ button in the bet control area. Some players were inadvertently clicking the button and, if they had the Gameplay > Multi-Tabling option “Allow registration without showing Buy-In dialog” enabled, they would automatically be seated in a new game when they didn’t intend to do that.

This change overrides the option setting to always show the buy-in dialog for the Play Now button in Spin & Go observer windows, which has a ‘Cancel’ button allowing players to undo the mis-click.

+1 to combining the MTT and SNG favourites into a single view.

+1 to increasing the priority to fix the issue of tournaments disappearing from favourites when the guarantee changes.

Thank you for adding an option to set our own preference for how long it takes for the player info hover message to appear.

This could have to do with Windows' User Account Controls. It does not let any application write directly to certain folders on your C:/ drive unless you run the application as an administrator (which you have to do manually, so if you don't know for sure that you are doing it, then you are not doing it).

By default, PS saves your files to the C:/AppData folder, which is one of the protected folders. Change the folder containing your settings to a different folder (such as My Documents) and see if it works.

Once i had miss click twice while watch a SpinGo tables and lost $60.. After contact support, i don't got refund for the game i didn't choose to play.. So sick.
Anyone had same problem ?

Is there a possibility of minimizing the chat box if you have it detached from the table?
Basically just to rid the tables of the chat and clear the desktop of it as well as it is no use at all to me and I would really like the space.

If not is it hard to script this anybody?

Don't click play now if you don't want to play. Don't tick "single click reg" if you're prone to mis-clicks.
