Regarding yesterday´s crash, I received a tournament refund for the Bounty Builder $16.50 I was playing, but the refund they sent just seems wrong:

"Tournament #2815508592 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled, and players have already reached the money, we refund each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based on the following formula:

- each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of cancellation
- the remainder of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the chip count

At the time of cancellation there were 214 players remaining, and your chip count was 198,762.00. Total chips in play were 18,580,000.00. The remaining prize pool was USD 23,515.33 and the minimum prize was USD 28 .72.

See, the tournament was already on the late stages (200 out of 4k players), so the bounty fee I had on my head was already up´to US$29 instead of the initial US$7.50, which they didnt account for

Someone please show me where I´m wrong, or else that´s a LOT of bounties just disappearing from players´ pockets on a Sunday grind

seems like both prize pools are merged, the difference b/w the bounty on your head and your initial bounty of 7.50 is in the 23k prize pool

But that difference is from bounties that I got and should be going to whoever eliminates me. But in this particular case, since no one will knock me off cuz the tourney was canceled, it should be going back to me, am I wrong?

Can someone explain something to me regarding PS rakeback:

Supposedly PS rakeback is somewhere south of 5% from what I've heard, basically non-existent. However I'm looking at the Stars rewards page and it says there that a "diamond chest" for example will give you $12.5 - $250 cash rewards. There are a few different amount you can win, and a frequency attached to each one which says how often it will happen. The frequencies add up to 100% so there should be a cash reward in each chest? Pretty sure that hasn't been the case for me lately.

The avg cash reward from a diamond chest is $28.125 if the number on the rewards page is correct. I'm working towards my first diamond chest rn and it requires 10.500 reward points. Playing zoom I get 100 points per $1 paid in rake according to the rewards page, meaning I need to pay $105 to receive my first diamond chest, which is worth $28.125 (plus some additional prizes like stars coins, tickets etc?). This would mean that I'm actually receiving something like 27% rb while clearing this chest, which sounds impossible given what I've heard about stars rb.

Surely I must be missing something, but what?

if you are a winning player, they raise the point requirements for chests until you get about 1% rakeback. losing players get higher rb%
