I use tableoptimizer with stars and have a question.


Whenever i open stars, i open it by clicking on the stars icon on my desktop. The thing is whenever i do this, stars loads up and i log in. The thing is whenever i needed to do a stars update, i had to click on start menu, then click on stars... then it does an update. I haven't updated stars in a very long time. Back then i recalled when i clicked on stars icon on desktop, well if an update is needed, it would show it and update it. Is there a reason why it never shows an update when clicking on stars icon on desktop as oppose to the start menu and then stars?


The reason i had to update stars was i use Tableoptimizer and i checked the updates for it and it had update so i updated it. Then when i opened stars, it was not compatible because i had to update stars. So i closed both holdem manager 2 and tableoptimizer to do this. I had to click on start menu, then stars and it did update. But when i did this, and then i logged in, i got message my user settings has been changed... only thing i could do was click X and close it and stars as it frozed. Back then i recalled i had this and it would ask me if i like to change settings or not but i did not have option now. After i logged into stars, i notice my custom layouts were no longer there. But my hotkey etc were there etc. Has anyone had this happened?


Also how often does stars have an update? I have not updated stars in a long time though and i had bugs like table would not move or not open etc. Is reason because i didn't update stars for a while? So whenever i open stars, i should do so from the start menu, thus, start, all programs and then stars? The only time i do this is when i do update to tableoptimizer and i have to update stars because it's not compatible version.

There are two separate .exe files:
pokerstars.exe - the game file
pokerstarsupdate.exe - the updater, which checks for an update, and then runs the game file

Sounds like you are normally running pokerstars.exe from your desktop, and pokerstarsupdate.exe from the menu. The normal PokerStars installation encourages people to always run pokerstarsupdate.exe, so that people have an updated version of the software.

Their ordinary routine was (formerly) to update monthly; While I suspect it still is done on a monthly basis, I'm not 100% certain.

Every other month I believe.

Real Fusion would be 3. and 4. card face up mixing other poker variants in there too. That would really be an action game!

Will you finally fix the cashier window? It takes like a minute to refresh every time.


Also, whenever I log in, I have to change the theme for certain table types. Why can't the client remember my choices and I have to do this every single time?

Reading the Part thread I have some interesting questions-
Out of curiosity if I am in Thailand can I withdraw and deposit with Visa Electron?
And how do you deposit and withdraw, isnt it Skirll more bigger and easier to operate compared to Neteller, even thought they are owned by the same company called PaySafe? Is there any rumors about what will happen with PokerStars operating in Thailand after new years eve?

I play on .bg client and cant open .com link. There are always new info so I am writting here.
I have contacted PS support about disconnect issue and after 2-3 emails, they send me an email in russian, not in bulgarian language. I replayed that me english is better then my russian language and even after that, PS support did not send me an email with translation in my native language, no apologies...

Does a PS rep still monitor this thread? I reported a bug through email about the tournament registration success dialog not having any text and my late-registration table not opening automatically but their response was simply "uninstall the software". Is that actually the solution to this known problem, or is it still their canned response without checking to see if it's a real issue?

is there no longer an option to uncheck "dim players not in hand"?

its gone from my client but theres an option still in the user.ini . it had a value of 0 and changing it to 1 didnt help.

Why did you remove the feature "show chip shading" for the mercury theme after last update? I can't disable it anymore. Please return the option to disable it.

i hate it too, i dont wanna see dimmed players at the tables, why make it mandatory?

As stated above - please add again the checkbox "Dim players not in the hand".
I think that you should give players more and more options and empower them to customize the look and feel of software as they like (removing options feels like the step backwards). If you are concerned about the new users (you want to create simple menus so people are not overwhelmed) - that's understandable. But I would suggest that you just hide those advanced features under some "Advanced Settings" button but still keep them available.

Removed opacity (dim player not in hand) and chip shading for these Themes: Black, Nova, Mercury.

► Black:
Download gx.ini file and replace in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars\Themes\black

► Nova:
Download gx.ini file and replace in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars\Themes\nova\green

► Mercury:
Download gx.ini file and replace in this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars\Themes\nova\green\style-P7

After replace, in your desktop, right click on shortcut PokerStars --> Proporties - and delete text Update from "C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars\PokerStarsUpdate.exe" - Apply - Ok.
Run PokerStars client using custom desktop shortcut for avoiding update during start.

In lobby recommend to enable - Show Full Hole Cards (Hold'em Only) - :
Settings --> Table Appearance --> Cards ---> Show Full Hole Cards (Hold'em Only) - Apply Changes - Ok.

For us who mod, what line of the code do you change?

anyone know what it means by not enough vpps earned to cash in points for $ ? is this a software glitch? i know its start of year so how many vpps earned per $ raked?

Have the same message and I'm not able to spend my starscoins I bet it is an error as there are no longer VPPs and old statuses. Nice start 2019 Dear Pokerstars.
