Dear Keith,

would really appreciate you commenting on the many random disconnections people have had in several countries.

It's obvious the problem stems from Pokerstars' software, and has cost many players, myself included, some money/equity and we would like some clarification on the matter and how we will be reimbursed for the technical issues.

Mailed belgian Pokerstars support team two days ago, but have yet to receive an answer.

What steps do I have to follow if I want to revert to an older PS7 version because the current one crashes a third party program?

I deleted both my appdata and install folder and copied over files from a friend who happened to be on an older version to no avail unfortunately. Does Stars save files to different locations as well that I missed (e.g. a settings.ini) or did I do something wrong?

The "connecting" bar keeps popping up for me the past few days, very annoying when the client hasn't actually disconnected (at least I assume - other players are still making actions when the "connecting" bar has appeared).

Regarding the missing hh's, seems intentional to me (if they didn't intentionally introduce the big they're definitely not trying to fix it). It would take a few minutes to diagnose, get a tester to play Zoom and within 10 minutes you'll have reproduced the problem.

Another poster mentioned it lately - they should really stop all development and take a few weeks to fix the client. I'm sure they have an old build of Stars 6 somewhere, that might be a good place to start.

The behaviour of Ctrl+S has changed for Zoom too, it only works after you've played a hand at the table (previously you could load a table then immediately Ctrl+S to load another).

The last few weeks, I've been having an issues with Pokerstars. Many hands from my sessions will not be imported into PT4 or show in the stars replayer on the table right after I play them. I have to email stars literally everyday to get my hand histories. Is this an issue with PT4 or pokerstars or what..?

It's a Pokerstars bug, they don't seem too bothered about fixing it unfortunately.

you can do us all a favor by removing cardmatch and make a note to never bring it back, there are dozens of better promotions that are not making it next to impossible to play some poker
I play PLO and they don't run promotions for those players so I don't know if that is my problem.

I have just checked the NL games actually to see what the promo looked like at the tables and the cardmatch thing does indeed not run when sitting at PLO tables.

The software just seems to be generally terrible lately.

Mac version: Most of the buttons (even the ones for closing a window etc.) require two clicks instead of one now, I tried on two different macs. Super tilting when you multitable, please fix this ASAP!!

Hi all - CardMatch slowing down the client or causing freezes is definitely not expected behaviour, and I haven't received the widespread reports I would expect if this were the case; however, there are enough reports here that it definitely needs investigation.

We apologize for the disruption. The team identified a problematic dispatcher and they stopped it on Saturday, so the related disconnect issues should be cleared up now.

Please contact Support to request compensation - they will investigate your situation and make a determination for affected players.

Sorry but wtf? There were plenty of posts about it last time CardMatch was run.

If you mean there were no reports to support - people avoid contacting support, they're incredibly tilting. Those who do try to get help don't actually get anywhere, they just go in circles with your third-world first line guys until one side gives up. A typical experience trying to report a software issue:
  1. Type out a detailed report about a software problem
  2. Receive copy + pasted nonsense in response
  3. Reply in detail for a second time
  4. "delete user.ini and run a virus scan"
  5. Try again
  6. "Your email has been forwarded to the relevant department"
  7. ...

If you're relying on support to identify software issues you're going to have a bad time...
