They simply don't care, not even an acknowledgement that they messed up.

Same here. Random crash/disconnection. 1 table frozen other table working fine and then random disconnection and when I send the log files I get told my user.ini might have gone corrupted.

Edit: This happened only once though and my build number is 13253)

Anyone else have the bug that if you click the "show previous hand" button and there is no previous hand, the "show previous hand" function (ie the hand visualiser) does not work until you restart the client?

I prob didn't say this the best way: When I press the "show previous hand" (hand visualiser) button either from the table or in the visualiser itself, and the "previous hand" it is trying to display is not viewable because it is the hand before I arrived at the table or the hand before the table started, it breaks the hand visualiser and the visualiser will not work til I restart the pokerstars client.

I've randomly had different types of problems with the replayer. I've experienced what you have described. I've also experience the replayer not opening at all, on any table Im playing. Or the replayer will sometimes open, but then freeze, and all of pokerstars freeze after that, except for the tables I am playing on. I can keep playing no problem, as if nothing happened. As long as I dont want to open more/different tables, its all good.

This issue should be fixed with the next client update.

Thanks for reporting. This is also a known issue and while I don't have a specific timeline for the fix, it should be implemented soon.

Dylan

It took nearly a week to respond to any of this?

I was simply posting an update as Keith has been extremely busy lately.

As Loki quoted above, we have been aware and working on the avatar issue since it occurred. This has been communicated to players who contacted Support since the issue was identified.

Thanks,
Dylan

Hi Dylan! I'm curious to the timeline here. It's been a known issue among players for over a week but as of yesterday support were still hand-waving and blaming user.ini (lol) and third party tools. There's also been zero input here on 2+2.

Is this a known issue as of your post? We've always been told that even if there are no responses someone reads every post here, is that no longer the case? Further to that, support must have been bombarded with emails over the past week - did they genuinely fail to notice a pattern and escalate to the appropriate department?

If this was a known issue earlier in the week I'm genuinely curious why the ostrich approach seemed like the appropriate solution when many customers were being materially affected. Simply acknowledging the problem would have gone a long way.

Is there any Auto-compensated refund of the losing buyin happening or do we need to Manually report ourselves??

It was a known issue before my post. I see how my "Thanks for reporting" comment wasn't clear about that and easily misinterpreted. Apologies.

Support has been aware of the issue and has been tracking the reported cases in order to assist our developers with solving the problem. I don't know the exact timeline of when it was reported. However, as you and other posters in this thread have pointed out, it sounds like Support has mistaken at least some of these cases with a different issue. I've flagged the issue and it's being looked into to make sure it doesn't happen the next time something like this occurs.

On that note, I've just been told by our product team they expect the problem to be fixed in the next client release.

Lastly, yes, this thread continues to be monitored and posts are read regularly, even if no posts are made.

Apologies for any confusion caused.

Regards,
Dylan

Unfortunately not as soon as we'd like. The resolution is included in the regular build cycle, the server restart for this happened today and the client updates will be rolling out in the next few weeks, depending on license. So it could be mid to late June before the issue is cleared up for everyone.

We apologize for the disruption today, we ran into several problems with the server restart, and it took longer than expected to resolve them.

Yeah, sorry it didn't work out that way.

Regarding the random freeze/crash bug - it's unrelated to today's server problems. As Dylan mentioned, the issue should be resolved with the next client updates, which unfortunately means it will still be another few weeks before the solution is deployed.

I apologize for the gap in my response on the forum. Thanks, Dylan, for helping out.

Yes, and that's my fault for not acknowledging these issues last week.

The team was investigating the crash problem at least as early as the beginning of last week (late May), based on reports from Support. It took a while to get a handle on it, but I should have posted something. Sorry about that.

No, sorry, there is no auto-compensation. Please contact Support if you feel you should be compensated.

===============

Aside from our server problems today and the intermittent client crash problem, we have heard reports of an issue with HEM/PT that may be affecting some players. We believe this prevents users from launching our client.

Those who have HEM/PT installed may consider doing the following if they have problems: Uninstall HEM/PT. Uninstall PokerStars. Delete the local files for PokerStars (but save notes, hand histories, user.ini). Reinstall PokerStars.

This should remove all traces of the 3rd party tools and allow PokerStars to start successfully.

We are unsure of the result if you start PokerStars first before launching the HEM/PT version which prevents launching PS.

I noticed a minor error in the hand replay window while railing an 8game table. The replay window said there was a $3 ante for each Limit Omaha Hi/Lo hand when, as far as I could tell, there wasn't. The same error was happening with some of the other variants as well.
