Anyone know why I get this error from time to time when attempting to join wait lists? Pretty sure it's not about updating the client as Pokerstars checks for updates on each startup afaik

Can somebody wake up the Pokerstars administrator and tell him to turn on Storm sng satellites?

For anyone still wondering, to switch back to Legacy view after the latest July update, just do the below:

1. Open the C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars(.UK) folder
2. Select all items and copy them to a separate folder to use as a backup just incase.
3. Open the backup folder, then copy all the contents and paste them into the C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerStars(.UK) folder and choose to overwrite all the files.
4. Open the PokerStars.exe file and enjoy legacy (I set my PokerStars taskbar icon to point at the PokerStars.exe app instead of PokerStarsUpdate.exe app too, though unsure if this matters).

Things to note: unsure how long this will last, and I added .UK in brackets just in case you're not a chav.

I don't think I have any piece of the old software left, as I cleaned everything and re-installed. I suspect the forced Aurora update also removed any possibility of legacy, as why else it wouldn't still be working otherwise?

No Update thing? Of course not; we are protected by the copy-paste.

The only reason for wanting the old is if one has an ordinary laptop that can't handle the heat for the graphics card. My gaming laptop has an extra fan button and that's enough to have things working as usual.

The Pokerstars Aurora cards are readable on small tables, and if you want something else, there are mods.

What can I do to get the old layout back? My Backup folder is empty...

Can anyone here confirm you must use aurora now? I haven't played stars in a bit but last time someone told me to change the user.ini file with legacy and that worked. When i log in stars now, and observe tables... it does appear there isn't any aurora.



So does that mean once you do a stars update, you can no longer use aurora? When i log in stars, i always click the desktop icon on my computer as oppose to start menu... if i do start menu and click on stars, that would always update stars when there is an update. So does that mean one could play without aurora until stars make you do an update and you can't refuse it?

Tried their play money mobile and saw they have a vertical option also these days. In the past, I considered their horizontal one to be the best I have seen; played a lot of micro zoom with it when I was learning PLO; 5", 6" phones, 10" tablet, all were fine.

But no HUD, no stats, no country without extra work, and just one table on the screen.

But now I see the cards are as small as with the vertical option and a smaller table, as at least at play money there is some casino logo taking some space.

Didn't bother to deposit as not going to play here for a longer time, even mobile as it is now, though it is fully possible with the 3rd party themes for PC, or there too are some issues as the best card theme might be the one offered for Chico, or originally at WPN, for PLO multitabling purposes, and not offered for Stars, but there is also less space at the center seats for making the cards perfect, but still possible if made exactly.

I don't like the colours of the mobile either that much (or did I miss the settings? Maybe not), as too basic. To me, it seems they succeeded to improve their mobile also. And it is not only the graphics, but anything they do at Stars has made things worse, technically and non-technically speaking.

software development at stars has one of those guys we all know them in every line of work that make changes so they justify their salaries and since its their changes they will try push them as hard as possible otherwise their jobs would appear usless.

Love how they always say scheduled 30 min server restart and it always ends up taking a couple hours...

Is there a way to change the color of each table specifically? For example standard tables are green and you could change it to other colors. I did change the progressive tournaments to another color so any progressive tournament, it could be blue layout but the other tables are your standard green layouts. But is there a way to change the color layout for satellites so you could have 3 different color layouts?


Also is it possible to change the color layout of each stars table individually? Party and 888 allows you to do this. But when i change the layout color of one table on stars, all the other stars tables change layout color?

Yes rather than right click and change, you need to go into the table settings and then select "this table only".
