LOL, I havn't played on Stars or had the ability to for 8 years and I know this. Stars is the most hilarious thing about online poker right now. They literally **** (doodie) on their customers and they come back like the degenerates they are.

please dont freeze the client anymore during all-in shootouts
better yet ban all-in shootouts and just deliver $ on preset odds, these big tournaments always **** up and freeze the client
i was in a couple of sweet spots at the time but the client froze and close on me

You do realize that in an allin-shootout whether you are watching or even logged in doesn't matter? So even if the client freezes you will still get the right payout, you just don't get to see that hand.

**** me, I was sure it's my PC, so I just bought a new notebook. After 1 day of configuring etc I started to play on my new notebook and same thing happend after half an hour.

For you guys it looks similiar (MTTs/SNGs) - you are playing, everything is good. Then it stops to work on one of the tables, then when you try to click on it, it crushes - like complete freez. I'm able to click on start button but it doesn't open. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work - unless you have few minutes to wait for it while playing hyper SNGs...

At the beggining I was thinking it's a HM2, like usually. Then I though it's a TO software. Now on a new Windows, new notebook (32GB RAM etc), without HM2 opened it's the same.

try pressing alt tab first and then ctrl shift esc to bring up task manager, then close pokerstars.exe in the processes tab.

Does the new new chest rewards has a bug. I got to bronze chests this month. At first i need 750 points to get one chest. After i got chest the points went to 1250 and today after i got another chest the points jump to almot 4000 for 1 bronze chest. WTF?
This must be a bug right? I need to collect 40$ in rake to open 1 bronze 0.5$ chest? What kind of a sick joke is that?

Because "rakeback percentage" is not a reason that very many people choose a poker site.

Different players have different motivating factors, but I believe the leading factors are:
-Trust (both in terms of security, but more broadly in terms of reliability of payouts)
-Familiarity/Convenience (uptime; existing accounts; status quo bias)
-Value for money/ability to win money

Let's say you play plo and like zoom. Where do you go if you want to get some rb? And the obv ones best client, fast payouts, biggest selection of games and players. And even for nl zoom you either play without rb or with partys worse client filled with bots and soon wihout a hud.

Yeah, i have the same issue. I like playing Zoom PLO on stars. I recently tried GGPoker , it has very good PLO volume , many tables and lots of rec players. But no zoom , no hud ... so yeah, i guess stars knows people will stay so they can do whatever they want. Although I did notice that high stakes games on stars died down for PLO. There is alot more high stakes PLO action on other sites so i'm assuming most high stakes players left for other sites ? maybe that will make stars change their tune ? Or they make money from small fish ?

Do you think HUDs will be supported by PokerStars for much longer? I know they are seriously considering banning them as well, as it was explicit in the last survey they've sent me. Akkari was also involved in a drama calling for their ban a while ago. If it doesn't bring more fish, it will certainly hurt the reg winrate, which means more rake for the room. With no HUDs, no trackers, and anonymous tables (which is what Party is going for), suddenly live poker seems much more appealing if you want to make money playing the game.

Don't know but from the rake pov and "protecting" the recs it would make sense to ban huds but how do you control that if you don't allso make tables anonymoys? And even with the no huds etc you make better hourly playing online if you don't actually suck.

Two options: 1- trust HUD developers, 888 zoom allows tracking, but no HUDs. 2- get rid of hand histories, like Party is going to do.

I don't know about better hourly if the whole mix is put in. On top of naturally harder games, no HUDs + anonymous = you must play less tables to keep manual notes AND these notes are only useful for the current session (unlike in live poker, where you'll know your regs and keep tendencies long-term on the fish).

Anonymous tables is not poker at all. Poker is about adapting your game to the other people you play against and thats why nicknames should be always visible and the same, like when you go to a casino and everyone can see who you are.

In online poker we dont aim to play 1 table of $5/$10 (in such a case HUDs wouldnt make any difference) but to play ~10 tables of ~$0.5/$1. HUDs help to handle that amount of playing at once like if we were playing at only 1 table.

Regs asking for a total ban of HUDs are just those that feel that have made a close enough to GTO strategy (which i also think is not real poker) and hide behind the "its for the recreationals" argument to get rid of a good portion of their competition. Reality is that HUDs dont affect the life of recreational´s deposits at all because you never get enough data of them to exploit any specific leak in their game and playing a basic solid game is enough to crush them as it has always been and a HUD is not necessary for that.

HUDs are designed for the reg vs reg games and is the only way to keep the online poker at least a bit alike to what live poker is while helping to multitable and play real poker.

If stars has decided to totally ban the table selection/seating tools, i guess the best they could do is to bring back the easy seat feature. I remember we just needed to tell to the client how many tables of which stackes we wanted to play and it took care of everything. That way there wouldnt be the "R" blocking seat problem and tables distribution would be equal and fair for everyone.
