So steve why arent quoting and explaining why stars is doing this sick moneygrab.

I mean 50+4 really isnt that good of a difference from the 55+5 if that is your explaination.

And in the meanwhile al 50- are ****ing terrible from 6-7% to 8.5% rake. How can you tease us with saying, im sure the majority of players will like the changes (if u know 80%+ of the grinders on sngs doesnt even play 100+). you lied to us, teasing us with coming better rake structure where im sure 9 out 10 players will pay more rake if they continue playing right now to the rake they paid before with a lower profit.

This moneygrab makes me sick, i personally dont know yet what im gonna do.

Some improvements for husng players but please, please, please ffs make it so that the no blind increase and regular games are not sharing the same lobby. The only way I've found to make them disappear is to type '2 players' into the filter. Most players will not figure this out and a) might think normal speed games don't exist any more b) will feel less like playing because the lobby pisses them off.

Also get rid of the 1 minute wait, what the hell is the point of that?

Never thought my first post in the ZOO would be about complaining about PS.
But yes striker is on sng strike.
I won't be too vocal about the best site , I'll mainly just vote with my feet until they change the MTT rake. That day my feet might bring me even further away.
The graphs are indeed totally misleading.
The price (rake) elasticity might be low in the short term, but it won't be low in the medium terms, so it might take some time before PS realize how big their mistake is. By touching the low stakes the most , it's the whole poker pyramid economy that will be affected.
Not only the blinds levels have been affected, but also the the starting stack of some very good structured sng (90 players at the 2 dol level for example). Breaking what isn't broken is a great idea.
And to the guy who said it will be easier to get higher VIP level, i hope your post was a level, since rake not paid is 100 percent rakeback.

Having just moved back to Stars, i was happily grinding the 6.50's and using tableninja and other software for auto registering.

After an hour or so i had unintentionally registered/played for dozens of the $10.85's.

This could have been a disaster if i hadn't had my filters on!

Why no server re-start? ****in stupid thing to do.

We're looking into this. Thanks for your patience.

The lobby is going to be a bit ugly until the new client comes out next week. However, it's expected that the short-term pain will be worth the long-term gain.

There are a couple fewer options of these now, and it is understood that there is a problem when people unintentionally register for these tournaments. However, they are popular amongst many players who do intentionally play them.
fwiw Steve, dont change it back to just 1 lobby, just change it so that 1 person sitting 10 lobbies only shows 1x. Respawning lobbies is def. wanted

I've been playing just a couple of months and building my bankroll from nothing. Started with the rake-free $0.25 and recently moved up to $0.50+$0.05. Now I'm expected to pay $0.59 - 18% rake? Crazy. They're not going to get any new customers like this.

we waited months for this... seriously?, when we told you we wanted a gradual reduction in rake as the stakes go up we didn't think you would just %#!@ the $15 + $ 1 in order to do it.

Yeah this would be fine, but the OP mentions that there will be new sub-lobbies for different speeds. Why can't the nbi go by themselves in the 'slow' lobby? Currently unticking the 'slow' box in the filter does not make them go away.

Of course they're popular, the regs in them are angle-shooting scum! At least stick up a huge warning saying "this sng could take up to 12 hours and it probably will because you're about to be angled!".

As for the other issues in this thread, pretty much agree on all of them. I'm not into hyper-turbos but at least they will give all the botters an easy target and keep them out of my games.

I simply cannot understand PS has done this. For years grinders have been complaining because the rake was messed up through the different buyin levels. Now, after announcing ´improvements´ for the last months you have simply upped the rake. Also, people will start playing the 10s (18 mans) now instead of the old 16s.
In addition, there is a 45 sec timebank which will make games much slower. Slower means less games means less rake for PS and less games (profit) for grinders.
just UNBELIEVABLE. I mean, have you consulted any of your regular customers at all???

And PS, just accept that this is a market where margins will decrease and you will have to work harder to get new (more customers) due to black friday. Be inventive, find or create new markets, and dont just ask more rake from existing customers. Its so disappointing. Be creative, act entrepreneurial, dont abuse your powers, in the end it will backfire...

Is it just me or is the rake on the 180 mans actually lower?

1/12 = 0.08333333 = 8.3%
0.85/10.85 = 0.07834101 = 7.8%

Wow, guess I'll sign up on another site while this gets sorted out (if ever). I see Merge already dropped rakeback for new clients, so, after 6 years guess I'll have to go to FTP (after they get instadebit going) and find a rakeback deal that works for me.

@PrimordialAA

I don't think that is the case. I understand, in the highest HUSNGs it's to hard of a fight for lobbies, I guess respawning lobbies are very appropriate there.

On the lower BIs tho, no way it's desired. I'm happy to open up a thread in the HUSNG forum though.

@PokerStars:

After looking at the SNG rake change:

I don't play them but, great job screwing THEM over! I mean c'mon you can't expect people are that dumb.
