My privilege haven't been revoked.

Since no one ever heard of this problem and that the discussion is leading no where, I think it's for the best to just wait the answer of the Pokerstars support.

Thanks anyway for your help.

wtf? The dude plays sngs and couldn't play. He then opened a random cash table to see if he was excluded from cash as well.

Stars is usually pretty good at this stuff, they arent going to take his 10k for no reason. If he didnt do anything, relax. If he did do something, panic.

I see. I thought that would have been common sense. I was under the impression his bro was trying to see if he was banned as well.

Well, he only runs his bot at sngs, so he needed to see if they would let him play cash without the bot

They take screenshots and analyse other programs running on your computer. If he was using a bot, chances are they know and they they have irrefutable proof.

In that case ... bad luck ... but if you cheat, that's what's going to happen.

That is not the only way they can identify bots.

I see absolutely no reason to believe they wouldn't take screen-shots.

I have experience as a java programmer, and in java it's one line of code. A couple more to save the image file to the hard-drive. I imagine it would be similar in C or C++ or whatever they are using. So if they detect suspicious behaviour I can't see any reason at all why they wouldn't use screenshots to help investigate the case. It's extremely simple and an obvious solution.

Dude, no need to quote your resume. Everyone knows it can easily be done, but Pokerstars doesn't do it because people get freaked out about screen-shots of their porn fetishes being sent to Stars. This has been addressed many times in just the last couple of months, and I suspect Michael will pop in once again.

One of the stars reps already stated that they didn't in a thread here due to obvious invasion of privacy issues with their customers. I can't find it right off but if you insist and no one else digs it up I will.
I tend to believe them

He hasn't done anything fraudulent but really start to freak out because he has 10k on his account.

Does anyone received that message before ? Is it just for a check up ?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Do you know Roman Polanski?

Well that makes sense, I believe it too then. I stand corrected.

Well, the problem is resolved. Stars is only asking for a proof of residence.

This should be the standard response to all posts of this type.

And also extremely pointless.

If anyone was so animal stupid as to write a robot that had a screen window announcing the fact they would undoubtedly have left many more clues that would be easier to detect.

Quite. It's extremely believable.

Rather the same as the police not trying to detect crime by keeping a lookout for people wearing hooped t-shirts and carrying bags marked 'SWAG' over their shoulders.

It must truly suck to be legitimately screwed by Stars with all these bozos and their brothers, mothers, uncles, buddies just creating such antipathy against anyone having issues.

The problem is, as much as anything, the knee-jerk reactions of a lot of posters here.

There are often tells in the initial post but some posters just wade in regardless.

QFT.

Well, I don't think they had to try that hard, their natural stupidity did most of the work for them.

A little empathy would be nice. Maybe the automatically critical and suspicious posters would be all calm and collected if they just had thousands of dollars frozen, but I know I wouldn't.
