This seems like quite a different idea. SnG Hero is a 4-man lottery sit and go with bounties, but the multiplier is randomized at the start, but then the payouts (bounties and finish amounts) are fixed. These "Spin and KOs" appear to be knockouts and when you knockout a player, the prize is random.

Re. Duel Arena, from the description, I can't work out what makes it different to your standard Heads Up Sit and Gos.

The fact that Beat the Clock is a Zoom MTSnG doesn't help because the VPIP is supposed to be high in 4-max 12 bb poker anyway, so 1-minute levels offer at best as 'much' play as 2-minute levels in a non-Zoom SnG.

Maybe it was a trial indeed. It was seen by Russians for a brief time on the 28th of October. I noticed it at 11 AM UTC; by 3:20 PM UTC, it had already been gone from the lobby. A fellow Russian told me that a few of these SnGs had been played before 11 AM, but by the time I noticed them, players had completely lost interest in them (there were not more than 4 people registered for a new one at any time).

The likely reason why you didn't find that SnG by its ID is that it never started (never gathered the needed 48 players). By the time when I noticed it, the top-level lobby tab 'Clock' had been removed from the client, but reportedly, it had been there for a brief period in the morning of the 28th.



In absence of a top-level tab, this tourney was barely visible in the SnG lobby - it could only be found by the search words 'beat' or 'clock'. This certainly hindered the influx of players into it.

Also, some Russian noticed that one of the previous trials, with a $1 buy-in, was shown by a result site. The trial had been run on the 25th of October, apparently in the EU pool, as it was entered by a German sponsored pro xflixx. I don't know if the EUBaard account is a test one belonging to Pokerstars Baard.

I don't normally play spin and go's but it's something different to the cash game card match promo, so quite like the sound of this! I like the idea of losing points if you come third as well... means you can't just play spewy!

I have somehow already hit 10x and 120x @ 1 dollar spins and I have still not completed the challenge....

Guess the Spin & Go promo's not a bad deal, if it should take about 6 games on average to reach 100 points and win a minimum prize of $1, if the rake per game is $0.08?

It must be common to still wind up down after playing 6 games, with all the 2x multipliers though?

What is up with the new 'spin n go' promo. I went to activate it in the challenge window and got a message saying "sorry but, this is only for real money players"...

Suggesting i'm not a real money player is like suggesting i'm of the opposite sex - it's that far off the mark. I've been a real money player on stars for how many years now?! I don't even play poker unless it's for real money!

Way to shut players out from participating. I've given up on the promo before even trying it, thanks to the above. I'm certainly not about to go backwards and forwards with emails to support to rectify the situation and fix your mistake. If you want players to participate, then at least set up the promos to work correctly.
