Sadly Amaya being Amaya (total rip off merchants) the most likely thing to happen is they stiff the entrants. I hope I am proven wrong.
It may be that the tournament cannot run with less than 4096 (since if there are only 3600 people and 4096 prizes to be won, there will be 496 prizes that "nobody wins")

I do agree though they ought to do something about it. Either decrease the number of minimum entries (and add the leftover prizes as extra on top of all the remaining prizes in the prizepool), or they should otherwise reimburse ticket holders with a cash prize equivalent in value to the ticket.

The tournament will still run as advertised. If the number of entrants is lower than the minimum required, the minimum will be adjusted as well as the payout structure.

iirc I saw this happen in the "football fever" promo during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

That time they half'd the places paid until it paid less places than there were entrants, so in this case ( if handled similary ), this all-in shootout would pay 2048 places.

I may also be wrong...

If you give it a go you also get value from the games been soft due to people playing in games they don't usually play.

Just completed the gold, got $5 lol. Probably the one day you wouldn't mind a shootout ticket.

hm u run a "Gold Sunday Million Sattelite-Promo" but there are only a few MTTs to win a ticket.. Its 1 1.65$ 3x turbo Sattelite/hour definetly not enough even without this promo its not enough.. just take a look at the fields its like 800+ players in each of them.. i am sure if there were more the fields would still be over 700 players each
I am sure this Gold All in MTT will have a lot less players than yesterday.

Cheers for letting us know Dylan.

I just completed the 3 full house gold challenge and thought it was short and what was going to happen. I no longer need to be concerned!

Don't forget that the challenges are more like 48 hours long as it's 24 hours from when you press start (I pressed start with 2 hours left). So there is still time for more people to enter from the full house challenge

Does anyone know if the Full Tilt tournament schedule is just going to be binned when the merger happens???

I play the 10-game mix and don't want to see that disappear. Stars has 8-game but I'd love to have both.

I also think that Stars should improve their hand replayer.

Full Tilt has the best as it groups the tables together by tournament and you can change between tables without having to use another window to find it.

As I play mainly mixed games and the functionally on the FT replayer is so much better for them.

And 1.65$ 3x turbo MTTs have a 1k cap which means there are always only arround 25 tickets each hour.. but will see I guess this will be like 2500 players @ gold
I just dont understand why there is a 1k cap @ 1.65s makes no sense in my eyes, also that there is only one of it /hour. One thing should be changed.

I did the Spin + SNG challenge last night. I forgot how much I hated Spins. Went 1 for 8, with the only win being a 2x prize. I did manage to finish 2nd 5 times though... Did I mention that I hate Spins? There is a reason I don't play them.

I did manage to make up for it with the SNGs, playing the $1, 6-max hyper SKOs. I had never played those before (or hyper SNGs of any kind besides the Storm satellites). I kind of enjoyed them, and may actually start playing more of them in the future.

So far I'm 6/6 on getting shootout tickets back.

Tonight I'm going to take care of yesterday's challenge, the knockouts and the full houses. Hopefully I can take care of today's challenge as well, otherwise tomorrow I might have to do two.

and other players in this thread should think about pokerstars' customer-relationship-management.
the thread is only here to create an atmosphere of relation between u and pokerstars.
but they dont care about your suggestions at all, they only want to increase the rake, the revenues to satisfy
their share- and stakeholders. this was the reason for the promo.
and they lost a lot of money with thats why they cancelt it before the regular finishing/expiring of the marketing-campaign.

I'd hazard a guess that there won't be ~6800 unique winners of satellites to the sunday million either, so that ~60% of them who didn't get random cash can form the 4096 needed for that to run on Monday as well, so don't get too excited about any extra EV from completing today's gold imo. It's already over a quarter of the way through the day and there aren't even 100 who've completed it yet. Obv peak time will help increase that, but not by enough I reckon.

Seriously? Surely the person who sat up the tourneys had advance warning of what the qualifying activity would be, and therefore how many would likely qualify, and could structure each shootout accordingly, instead of just Ctrl+V the same format into each one.

It's like you had a brilliant idea for a promo, and then left it to the spotty 15yo who's only there for a fortnight's work experience.
Looks like they have already adjusted the min entrant requirement to 3175 and the prizes have been redistributed to pay down to 3175 only but still $20 000 total prize pool.

There have been quite a few posts about confusion over what prizes were earned because nothing is displayed when you win a shootout ticket. I was also quite confused the first day, and spent a few minutes looking around before saying "f*** it, what happens if I check registered tournaments?"

My question for the PS reps, why was the decision made to not display anything when awarded with a shootout ticket, and can the text/notification still be added?

Haven't been doing the challenges for the last couple of days, so was a little rusty and forgot to press the button before starting to play. Thankfully I play like a snail, so that was only 5 hands that didn't get counted Note to self, to remember to press the button before starting every day!!

Anyways GL to all of us today, at the tables and with the Challenge prizes!!

Hey, nice PD!! Was reading what you posted yesterday about not hitting getting a ticket with your tries yesterday. So that's really nice to hear you won one today ... and it was from a freeroll!

What a nice prize - so many things you could do with your ticket/T$ ... play the special SM, or play a bunch of different tourneys with smaller buy-ins over the course of several weeks. You thinking of giving the SM a try? One day would like to play a SM Anniversary Special - maybe in another couple of years ... by then the guarantee ought to be massive! (eg. The SM 20th Anniversary in 2026, $20m guarantee )

Congrats, nice!!

PS. Still working on today's challenge - slow and steady ... about half done

Thanks! Yea I think I have no choice but to give the SM a try cos it says for the freeroll "You cannot unregister from the target tournament" and I also tried to unregister and it said "Satellite qualifiers may not unregister". But still pretty stoked. Also even though I play cash normally, I can apply my postflop skills from cash to the early stages when everyone's deep stacked, and I also understand the basics of push/fold with charts and icm so I'm pretty sure I'll have an edge on the field (should be pretty soft too). Looking forward to the tourney, and I might sell some of my action too at a small markup, not decided yet.

Gl to everyone else in the freerolls. I had to fold AA preflop when I came very close to making the money, hope I never have to do that again!

Gl with your challenges today Trusty, I haven't started mine yet but being a cash game player I'm definitely a fan of today's challenges

Winning a hu sng against a specialist is probably harder than winning a spin&go. I am no good at hu sng so I have to play 6mans, and winning a 6max is harder than winning a spin&go.

The difference between 2 and 3 entrants is too big, especially in hypers. It's harder to have >45% ITM in a Spin vs two randoms than to have <45% ITM in a HU hyper with the same buy-in vs anyone, especially if you have any clue about shallow stack HU (even sticking to the Nash push/fold chart at 20/40 and further blind levels will be enough to avoid getting crushed imo).
