This requires you play a minimum limit of either:

Fixed limit: 5c-10c (blinds 2c-5c)

or

No limit/Pot limit: blinds 5c-10c

Thank you. I just achieved the gold challenge in less than 1 hour (3 full-houses) and won a ticket. Only 1.800 registered now, which is good.

Nice soul-read, sir

I mean, you did have spectacular odds of completing the challenge immediately, but I'd probably still wait for a little while and try to get my stack in with a better equity vs ranges, even if I had to do so two times instead of one.

3x Fullhouse is too much imo. Its much harder than all other Gold Challenges before. I was playing 9 tables for 90 min and got only 1, but I bet 3 of a kind on the flop, because i dont want to waste value for that 8,70 $ value of the Gold Challenge..

Both done but 2x tickets... Hopefully one of them pays me at least.

Did it too, looks like todays Gold Challenge could have a higher value than the 5 $ price.

When the "worst" prize in a promo is better value than some of the other "bigger" prizes, it suggests that something's not quite right about the promo. In this case there just isn't enough motivation for a casual player to grind a couple of thousand hands of regular tables to win a full house not just once, but 3 times. Would be better if zoom was allowed and that you only had to win once.

I think your overestimating the amount of hands required. I only needed ~700 hands of limit holdem but I didn't bet many two pair, trips/sets until the river to not get folds. So I did have to adjust my play style slightly.

After earning roughly a ticket a day, and registering for the All-in shootout each time since the beginning of February, I finally cashed in one! (for $1.10...)

I lied. It was one of the 100M celebration freerolls. Still a perfect 0 in the giveaway freerolls.

Yea, I might have overestimated slightly. But I also assumed you wouldn't make adjustments from your normal game. Still even 1000 hands is a lot for a 1 or 2 tabling recreational player to get through at regular tables. Much easier at zoom.

PS for the promo with full house (or any other promo) that is only for NLHE games, u can add to that NLHE game other popular formats such as PLO and to change the number of full house's to achieve (with equal odds to happen like with NLHE). That will be very nice and will not have discrimination towards other game.

Given it's a sunday million themed milestone, I'm guessing today's promo is gonna involve participating in Sunday Million satellites

I have only about 22 VPPs left until repeating the Chromestar status, otherwise I'm free to play at other sites, so I'm not going to pay my $4 of rake in games other than Spins and HU hypers

If a seat is won in those $7.10 sats, unregistration to get T$215 is allowed, isn't it?

They sound like the fastest way to complete the challenges, and it's hardly possible to lose much EV there! Dayum.

I'm only going to play three (in the evening), though

Let me get this straight, so the average person would have to spend $215 before they win a ticket, and then get a reward valued at around $9 EV? This one could be a bit too ambitious for me

I won my seat for around $40 and unregistered, got $215 TD yeah. I'll play the SM if I am around on Sunday but probably wont be, save it for the week after.

From the promo I got silver ticket + $5 gold.

Looks like yesterday's gold all in shootout (due to run on Sunday 21st) did not reach the minimum of 4096 entrants, still >400 short, and it will be cancelled unless they change something, so the EV of the ticket is currently $0

I'd hazard a guess that there won't be ~6800 unique winners of satellites to the sunday million either, so that ~60% of them who didn't get random cash can form the 4096 needed for that to run on Monday as well, so don't get too excited about any extra EV from completing today's gold imo. It's already over a quarter of the way through the day and there aren't even 100 who've completed it yet. Obv peak time will help increase that, but not by enough I reckon.

Seriously? Surely the person who sat up the tourneys had advance warning of what the qualifying activity would be, and therefore how many would likely qualify, and could structure each shootout accordingly, instead of just Ctrl+V the same format into each one.

It's like you had a brilliant idea for a promo, and then left it to the spotty 15yo who's only there for a fortnight's work experience.

Well spotted TT and good points. I am one of the people in these shootouts with a short number of entrants, including todays Gold challenge.

The correct thing to do of course would be for the tournaments to go ahead regardless of the amount of qualifiers, makes no difference to Stars bottom line and anything else would be borderline false advertising from them (again).

Sadly Amaya being Amaya (total rip off merchants) the most likely thing to happen is they stiff the entrants. I hope I am proven wrong.
