And no, i dont have a ****ty Computer with less RAM or smth.

Anyone else with the same problem?

Spinball
I hate Spin & Gos. I loved the Spinball promotion. I found I actually enjoy spins in small periods. The prize was actually decent for the stakes ($1.50 for $1 games).

Card Match
I played a couple hundred hands of $10NL zoom before I finished one. Got $1 back. Read in here that at least one player received $0.50. That does not make me want to play more.

But, learning that you can win up to 5 times a day at different stakes, maybe I will play a couple different stakes to earn a few extra pennies. My biggest question, is why is this information not easily available? I look in the challenge window and the info tab in there. I checked the PS website, and could not find the information there. Please make this information, including the prize distribution, available for easy consumption.

First i'm hearing / reading about this and now i'm confused.

You make that statement which suggests to me that, I can play 1 card per stake level.

I have just read the terms and conditions regarding the promo on the Pokerstars website and it says the following:

Players can play unlimited CardMatch Game Cards until they complete the maximum number of cards in a day, defined as starting at 00:00 ET and expiring at 23:59 ET. The maximum number of cards varies per stake level.

This suggests to me that, I can play more than 1 card per stake level.

That to me is conflicting information...

Not only do I not know what the prize values are per stake, more importantly, I now have no clue as to just exactly how many cards I can actually play and at what stakes.

For all I know and based on what i'm reading, I could actually be playing 20+ cards per day when taking all stake levels and the total number of cards per stake into consideration.

How do you expect people to participate properly if this important information isn't made clear for all to see?!

Must have ended today. I was able to play yesterday. It's been a while since I've been disappointed that a promotion ended, but I'm going to miss Spinball.

Thanks for your post.

At the minimum, I will be adding the prize information to each stakes information button tomorrow (for technical reasons, this content has to be changed at midnight ET). In the meantime, here it is:

NL2: 66% $0.10, 25% $0.50, 5% $1.00, 4% $2.00
NL5: 60% $0.20, 35% $1.00, 4% $2.00, 1% $5.00
NL10/NL16: 36% $0.50, 55% $1.00, 8% $2.00, 1% $10.00
NL25/NL50: 61% $1.00, 30% $2.00, 8% $10.00, 1% $50.00
NL100+: 74% $2.00, 25% $10.00, 1% $100.00

These are of course subject to change from time to time.

One of the biggest recent issues many here have mentioned is that the prizes and structure of promotions encouraged players to go play micro stakes and receive inconsequential prizes, and that the top prizes were unrealistic to ever expect to hit. This setup is meant to:

1) make it much more realistic to hit the top prize
2) to raise the minimum prizes at higher stakes
3) to allow the ultra micro stakes to participate

I would be very surprised if you never saw Spinball again.

Try getting a few of your colleagues together and look at the last few pages of the Pokerstars software never improves thread
I have visited that thread to ask for information from people about issues with CardMatch. If we determine that it is causing performance issues in the client for users, I will make it a priority to develop functionality to opt out of the promotion so it won't display. Promotions are great but should never supercede the ability to play the core game.

Issues related to other parts of the client and software are a bit beyond my scope, but I know that they are high importance and are being worked on; I share all of your frustrations that the process isn't faster, but a quick fix band-aid solution isn't likely to make anyone happy or resolve the problems. Please do keep reporting issues there and they will be seen.

Please have an option to turn off Cardmatch animation. I have to wait until it stops blinking to see my hand. I mean, if I squint I can see the card value but the suit is impossible to make out until it stops blinking. Maybe a less intrusive animation if you're determined to keep it?

Thanks for your reply.

You only addressed 1 half of my post though, Could you please address the following other half?

Your previous post suggests we can play 1 card per stake level.

The Pokerstars website terms and conditions states that the maximum number of cards varies per stake level suggesting that we can play more than 1 card at certain stakes.

Which is it? Just exactly how many cards can we play at each stake level?

The info you provide and the info on he website should match...currently it doesn't (or didn't when I first brought this up - haven't re-checked since).

IMO, I feel info on promo's should be made clear and simple (right from the start), especially if your goal is to get 'rec' players involved as much as possible.

If I we're running it, I would outline 3 key things:

These are the stake levels you can choose from.
These are the prizes associated with each stake level.
This is how many times you can play each stake level per day.

EG: Stake: NL25/NL50 Prizes:61% $1.00, 30% $2.00, 8% $10.00, 1% $50.00 Cards per 24hrs: 2.

IMO, those are the 3 key factors that players want to be made aware of.

instead of animation, it would be better if they had a special static image for the matching card until the hand is finished. the way it is now, after the animation u dont know that card is matched unless u manually look in the chat window. as well turning off animation will help w the lagging problems

Its absurd how backwards bad pokerstars have got since amaya took over. After 10-12 years a company should have this easy stuff down pat, instead its a mockery.

Im beyond concerned with their ability to properly identify and address game integrity issues when they take a month or more to fix a simple (seemingly) player table image problem, have endless software issies that just get worse, and i'm to trust this incompotence hasn't infiltrated the integrity department protecting me from sophisticated cheaters

Why are limit games not eligible for CardMatch?

In fact, why are there never any promotions for limit poker?

there is literally ZERO info as for which games are eligible for card match, and that includes T&C of the promo. Morover, it says that it "includes zoom games", while it doesn't include zoom HUNL or PLO. One thing is excluding less popular formats (which is bad imo, but it's a buisness decisions), but at least inform your customers about it ffs.

Previously Ukrainians were using limit tables for a free $1/day, they'd sit at the same table and turbo-fold to each other. Maybe NL tables fill up too fast for them to bother trying.

The easy fix would be to punish players doing this. Instead they punished all limit players.

Can't think of a good reason why they'd exclude PLO Zoom. Sure, you get twice the number of cards preflop but PLO rake is higher and the prizes are tiny, seems like they've only excluded PLO out of habit.

On a more constructive note, here is a payout table that i would prefer:

For $10 nl:
60% 0.5
35% 1
4% 2
0,98% 10
0,02% 500

The Ev is slightly less than the other table, but I think this would make the promotion more exciting. My consultant fee starts at a sunday million ticket

And I believe there is a reason behind 6 max tourney becoming 7 max final table or 4 max tourney becoming a 5 max ft. What happens is that when 7 players are left in a 6 max tourney, table with 3 players are at little disadvantage than players at the other table.

There was discussion on this:
Cool thanks for the info. Although I don't agree about being at a disadvantage 3 handed. Sure worse players will suffer but better players will thrive.

It looks like a good idea. I just want to point out that this is again a NL only promo. Can't you open it to other games? PLO especially, since it's such a popular game and could really use the boost.
