+1 Krazykarter, we both have very similar thoughts(I'm also chromestar/silverstar] I loved most of the challenges except for those $1k freerolls which were not appealing to me maybe they appealed to new players. Also I didn't find "win 3 or 5 spin n goes" or whatever it was as it was not worth for that all in shootout freeroll. I made that deposit as I have some funds left on my neteller account which I cant withdraw so I'm looking for these mega bonuses, reload bonuses or similar. Otherwise these promotions have been good so far.

The value of this kind of promos (and today's Golden promo too) is mainly indirect - you don't get much direct rakeback yourself, but weak players are enticed to 'grind' more than they usually do, so your 'pure' profit is bigger (or the loss is smaller) than on a usual day, due to softer opposition.

Agree with that.

I remember actually emailing stars about it last year when they were on and i got an email back confirming roughly how often they occur. I'm not gonna email them again today but if you guys are interested it might be worth your time to do so yourself.

I too am loving the promotions so far. I think there are unfortunately a lot of ungrateful people out there who aren't able to appreciate or enjoy these promos without making a fuss. Probably mostly SNs whining about the rb cuts. But yea, i'm excited to see what will develop on the christmas advent calendar over the next couple of weeks

Actually a quick look inside the lobby allows me to estimate that roughly around 1% of sngs (excluding satellites, steps) are golden sngs. Could be a bit off but it gives a rough ballpark of how often you can expect to win these sngs.

You're right Anuj, I forgot about those 1k freerolls. I think I laughed at those, those were awful and entirely not worth the time/gamble for a few cents.

I love the Golden SNGs, but my amazing luck continues, as I have my company Christmas party tonight and won't be able to play any

It took me 26 sng's to hit one haha... May have got a little bit lucky for it to be that soon! haha

hahaha nh bro

I hit golden sng x2 price pool in 0.25c 90bots and bubble it

Some promos are ofc better from others but imo PS could do that if u acomplish more then like 75% of missions to get some free $ like 25$.

Up to today evertday there was different mission, right? I think so. Its interesting to see what new promos PS will have.

Yes, missions differ from day to day.

My suggestion to increase the frequency or magnitude of jackpots was actually a serious one.

Sorry for mentioning Coral once again, but it does run a permanent promotion 'Double Jackpot Weekends', doubling the top jackpot on Saturdays and Sundays, i.e. paying additional €800/1600 to every customer of the skin who wins €800/1600 in a €1/2 Twister then. That gives ~19% extra rakeback (or 1.3% of each buy-in back on average). I'm even considering moving down from €5-10 to €2 Twister due to it

'Win one real money cash game or Zoom hand with a Full House for your chance to win a share of $20000 in giveaway prizes.'

Thanks for finally providing a challenge where NLHE and PLO players compete together but the task is easier for the latter

Don't worry they managed to work around that issue: in the info section it specifies holdem only so the promo doesn't apply for PLO

Zzz. So it turns out that I was talking about the way Stars should have composed the mission, not the way they actually did it

Why is that nasty 'Hold'em only' requirement hidden deep in the info section instead of just being included into the main description?

Why does PLO get the short straw so often?

i think its because they rake more (in bb/100) from plo than holdem on average, so they're trying to encourage a move towards lower raked games

If it's really their motivation (which would be unbelievably altruistic of them), why don't they lower the PLO rake even further instead of making the game less atractive?

xXPocketDucksXx - is really obvious you have nothing to do with poker as a living . if you are so happy with this kind of promotions seems that you are wasting your time. and time you ll never get back and is more valuable than spending time for this promotion.

this is not a promotion what do they offer. this is a simple bull**** mission with no value . people wants reload bonus . make 500 deposit receive 100 . i dont know , this kind of promotion , not loose a hand witt AA and receive a ticket to a ****ty tournament lottery

but for you is ok . no job , no future : just a kid who likes nothing in his life. good job for that but keep that for yourself .

@TheDefiniteArticle, The Imp

It means:

2014: 500 fpps balance
2015: 0 fpp earned
2016: 0 fpp balance

It's asking you to earn 0.01 fpp before dec 31st or else all your fpps will expire.

Also, in case you didn't know:

Matthew: That's correct, I mean the best way to get maximum value is to buy tournament tickets or if you're supernova buy a cash bonus but all players well not all players silverstars players plus can get the tournament tickets and get the best value. If you're one of the players who buys a $10 bonus, then I recommend DONT do it and wait until January and I'll take your 1000 points, I'm gonna give you 200 star coins extra, so you'll have 1200 star coins .. use that 1000 of those to get your $10 bonus and then you'll have 200 stars coins extra in your account.

give a ***** reload bonus and stop doing those bull****s with 0 value
LOL, this is what D-Negs meant by the changes benefitting the 98%... this is why FPP's are worth less than 3 cents now. Brilliant. SMH, and all this time I was hoping for Stars in the U.S. which made me follow the Action steps from the PPA for years. What a colossal waste of time that was... 1,350 players = 98%, eh Amaya?

The fact that you tried to play this off as it was reality months ago is proof that regardless of your volume or stakes, Stars thinks people are too dumb to figure this out... That or they don't respect players enough to be honest about their "marketing" strategy. Way to turn the best sites FOR players into the best site for investors... Your dishonesty and insulting the intelligence of poker players in general make me SICK Amaya. I'm pissed and don't even play on Stars, I wouldn't be as calm as OP if I were. What a joke of an excuse... "For the good of the 98%". Just admit you're robbing everyone of their FPP's and be done with it.

Hi, This email was intended to be sent to players who had not earned an FPP during the entirety of 2015 and was sent to some of our active players by mistake. We apologise for any confusion. If you've earned an FPP this year, then your FPPs are not expiring.

For those with FPP balances, as another reminder, on December 31st at midnight, StarsCoin (formerly FPPs) will be converted at a rate of 1.2 StarsCoin per FPP. Depending on your status, there are various ways to maximize your value:

• For BronzeStar and ChromeStar status players, FPP buy-in satellites and tournaments offer the best FPP value. If you purchase $10 cash bonuses, you would be better off to wait until next year to receive the 20% boost.
• For SilverStar and higher VIPs, consider purchasing tournament tickets in the VIP Store. Tournament tickets purchased this year can still be used in 2016 and off the best value.
• For players up to GoldStar status that usually spend their FPPs on VIP Reward Bonuses, the January 1 conversion rate is either an increase or identical value to the rate you would usually redeem your FPPs at, so there’s no downside to waiting until next year to spend your StarsCoin.
• For PlatinumStar+ VIPs, new VIP Reward Bonuses have been added to the VIP Store that allows you to convert your FPPs to cash at your best available rate.

Again, sorry for the confusion caused.

best regards, Matthew

I received a reminder about Coins at the beginning of November. I did have a nonzero FPP balance and have earned some more since then, though.

The VIP Rewards - 2015, will they be avaliable to purchase for 1 fpp (or how much starcoins?) even after Jan 1st?

Hi ****, there are different emails going out. For all active players with FPP balances, we sent an email in late November and plan another in late December to remind players to redeem their FPPs this year at best value before the conversion on December 31st. You will also be seeing a client popup when logging in sometime over the next week depending on your license.

The other email we send every year is a reminder to players who haven't played all year that their FPPs will expire. Unfortunately, we erroneously sent this email to active players as well.

Randomuser1, yes, 2015 Stellar and Milestone Rewards will remain in the VIP Store through 2016 for a price of 1 StarsCoin.

Thanks, Matthew

You're correct, it was on Nov 25. In my previous post, I confused it with the general notification about the VIP changes, sent out on Nov 2.
