If that's correct, each black chest costing some $220 in rake to get seems a bit closefisted when it takes near two weeks worth of daily play to average out the 3 keys.

I'm starting this thread because PokerStars PA Support has been atrocious since this issue with my account started to occur 27 days ago.

Originally I was able to play on their site since launch day up until November 21st when I was unable to get into any tables and/or tournaments due to 'Verifying location'.

I've been trying to log on to my account for the last 27 days but it keeps saying 'Verifying location'. I tried to log in using my friend's phones and computers and still doesn't work (different wifis, locations, etc.) but when they logged into their account it worked. I mentioned this to their support team but nothing has been done to help address the issue. I'm not sure how common this problem is but it seems like I may be the only one affected.

I spoke with GeoComply, the company responsible for geolocation services for PokerStars PA and they said that PokerStars told them it was an issue with my account specifically and not a geolocation issue.

I've gone back and forth sparingly with support when they actually care to e-mail me back and go through the same scenario everytime where they ask for my log files or tell me to restart my wifi/reinstall/etc. so forth (The basic IT responses that you get for any software issue). I've tried contacting them through Twitter but no responses. I even tried to get help from Garry Gates who is a PokerStars Pro but they still didn't budge. Garry did try to help so I appreciate that!

I'm actually pretty pissed off because I was on my way to getting my bonuses unlocked, better chests, and had tickets to tournaments. I missed the PACOOP because of this but they had 0 sense of urgency to assist me.

I feel like I'm just wasting my time trying to get help from them, sending e-mails back and forth. I heard that there is a PokerStars PA rep on the site so I figure I'd send this through just to see if I could get in contact with this person.

Anyone encounter an issue where their laptop doesn't geolocate but other devices do? Works for me on my desktop w wifi stick, ipad and iphone. Reinstalled Windows and it's still happening. It's a Lenovo 14w, been waiting for a while on a response from Pokerstars but no luck. Appreciate it guys.

That's Pokerstars in 2019 unfortunately. It's not the same company from years ago.

If you don't have live chat in your client you can maybe trick it into appearing by clicking around on the deposit page for a few minutes (you'll get a popup asking if you need help depositing). Works in the UK anyway.

edit: I guess if you can't login at all you can't get to the deposit page though!

I can log-in, I just can't sit at any tables / make any bets on their sportsbetting site.

That would make sense as I’m in NY (like ten mins from PA though).

If anyone in PA can confirm or deny that. I was downloading stars on my second pc and couldn’t remember the url. But it’s also crazy that the actual mt airy casino site doesn’t even have a link. It’s like they don’t want new people to find it.

Anyone know how long it takes for the chest bar to update? I logged out with 1k points to a black chest and woke up today with a new chest and 6000 points toward my next one.

I am at 21,000/26,500 for a black chest and I just got one, and on the xmas calendar the 19th is marked out. I am so confused why it awarded me one already. Should I not cross the 26500 treshhold until tomorrow? Super confused

The progress bar updates periodically in real time. Like on a delay of sorts. There are times where I notice the bar doesn't update at all and I'm guessing it's just a glitch in the matrix. When I log out and log back in, the correct count shows up again. So try logging out then back in and it should update for you. Hope that helps

This happened to me today as well. I think it might've had something to do with the server restart/reinstall/whatever that was. My guess is they either made a mistake, or they comped us that for the inconvenience

yes, and Ive had money sitting "in play" for a few hours after i left the table. my auto top off feature has been acting up the last few days

It's taxed differently depending on how you file either as professional or recreational winnings reported as other income. Also wins over $5k generally come with a W-2G and taxed at 25%.
