Glad I get it $5 at a time... Maybe I'll clear $100 of it.

Still having the same error, it goes away briefly after each update, then comes back. I am withdrawing my money and putting it on MGM, this is ridiculous.

I am surprised by how much chat there is in tournaments about how the RNG is broken and how people have to adjust their play because of how the RNG favors bad play. The more I watch bad hands win far more than their fair share and the more the players talk about it like it an accepted fact, I am having my doubts about the randomness of the RNG.

This with the news about EA sports Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment that adjusts gameplay in real time depending on player skill and how much easier it would be to do in a simple game like poker, I am starting to have my doubts about PokerStars. It just it just too important for their business to not have terrible players go broke too fast to dismiss it completely.

I think this post is for another thread.

Now I know why I lost 10bi this week. Just my luck that the RNG would be broken this week. FFS if it wasn't for bad luck...

That’s just losing players excuse for being losing players, they refuse to believe that maybe they’re just not very good - but if it keeps them coming back then I guess that’s good. I’ve heard the same complaints repeatedly since way back in 2005 in the glory days of online poker. But In the long run it’s the same players that win no matter what site they’re playing on. I’ve had some absurdly bad runs on stars and in online poker in general where it seems like every hand you get in good loses, but in the long run the good players will win and the bad players will lose. Stars and every other site would have MUCH more to lose by rigging their RNG to favor bad play then they would ever have to gain.

This is a combination of recency bias and the pace of online play vs live.

Yes they did! Here's the email blast:

PokerStars Spin & Go’s are the fastest way to win up to 1,000 times your buy-in. And now, for the first time, they are available to play in Pennsylvania.

Spin & Go’s are fast-paced, 3-Max Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go tournaments, featuring 500 chip starting stacks. Buy-ins range from $1 to $25, and each tournament has a randomly drawn prize pool that will award between two and 1,000 times your buy-in.

Dealing with some pretty extreme lag after last update. Any new settings that I need to be adjusting? Had already been disabling most animations/Aurora.

Has anyone ever seen an error message like this while playing, that simply says "Please restart your client" but doesn't have any PS logos or anything on it?

I've encountered it multiple times, and cannot take any further action on hands I'm in, once I click OK I'm taken to the lobby where I can't join any tables, and when I log out and log back in I've been removed from the tables, and lost the hands I was in, no disconnect protect or anything. So far, PS Support has been particularly useless and slow to respond. Have also engaged PokerTracket support, but so far haven't been able to successfully troubleshoot.

Anyone on here have any recommendations?

I've had the same issue over the past few weeks. Came out of nowhere and has probably happened 4-5 times and a few times I was in big pots. Stars support is garbage, but please update if they do get back to you with how to fix it.

Still no solution. They had me update my graphics driver, they also had me try to lower aurora graphics quality and disable aurora ambient animations, neither of which worked, as I still got there error after playing, slightly less frequently, but it is appearing still, and that is a straight no go for trying to play for real given you just lose all your money in any pot you're in when it happens and lose all of your seats.

Are you by chance playing on an HP Spectre laptop?

I got that I think when I had a brief internet outage I think. So I do wonder if you are having intermittent connectivity issues that you arent detecting. Maybe? And maybe related to memory space on computer too? (Sometimes I'm pushing it with available memory/storage). These theories are likely to be incorrect but just throwing a few things out there in case something maybe sticks.

I don't log off the whole client though. I go to task manager and shut down Stars from there so it doesn't remove me from the tables. I still have to log back on quickly...but sometimes I can get back in time to take action in some of the pots and not have auto-folded my trip Kings or something.

I have had this happen 3 or 4 times in maybe 5 or 6 months I think so I don't think this is as frequent a problem as you are having.

Appreciate the suggestions but don't think that is it, happening far more frequently for me, every 30-90min, also I play on other sites as well and have no issues with connectivity on those tables when this happens, only PS.

It started happening right after I got a new laptop, HP Spectre, which has good specs. Found someone on reddit that had the same issue after also getting an HP Spectre laptop so trying to figure out what could be the reason there, but the specs for this laptop all exceed the recommended system requirements on PS Stars page. Would be nice if I could get an email response from the tech support more than once every 48-72hrs, but Live Chat is literally useless and the real tech support don't do live chat, so I'm stuck in purgatory waiting for these responses - frustrating to say the least.

No, I’m on a Dell Inspiron gaming laptop. This is happening every 30-90 mins for you?? Definitely a good idea to not play on PS until they fix this then since they’re literally giving away your money. Mine is much more infrequent as it’s probably only happened 4-5 times in my last 15 sessions or so. I’ll reach out to support as well — hopefully if more people complain they’ll actually do something about it.

Just talked to someone on the live chat. Supposedly their technical team has launched a fix for the issue and everything should be working fine now. I played for a few hours yesterday with no issues, so let's hope it's all better. I'll update if it happens again.

Was hopeful after reading this, so fired up 8 tables of micro stakes this morning and got the "Please restart your client" error message 18min into my session.
