i'm also running into a ton of connection problems now.. it is making the site close to unplayable and it takes way too long to verify my location..

I've been without a custom avatar since I created my screen name in November. The first avatar took 4 months "pending" before I cancelled it and tried again. It's now August. I've sent an email to support and got a robo-reply. Is there a Stars PA rep lurking that can expedite this?

I have also had several occasions over the last 2 weeks where my connection seems to freeze during hands. This is thru my home WiFi on my laptop and I have almost never had issues with Stars before.

If I'm lucky it re-establishes connection before I have timed out of active pots. Even then I need to bang through a ton of pop-up windows about the connection and verifying location before I can get to the hand action. Sometimes I'm not lucky.

I have had better stability playing on ethernet but I shouldn't really have to resort to that, right?

really getting annoyed with the Rematch of HUSNGs glitch that happens occasionally. cost me about $200 until i figured out how to find my active rematched table. still a ****ing pain in the ass.

also a weird bug where if you have current player notes and try to make more on the same player, the cursor will start one character space in from the right so you have to adjust that before you make another note. dumb.

Yeah had that glitch happen to me last night. Usually just loads on previous table, but one time out of 10 or so hu sngs the table didn't load and previous table was just blank. Cost me 60 chips or so before I table searched lobby which was very annoying.

Yeah still slow AF. Disconnecting a few times a day, timing out a bunch. Annoying but sadly I'm getting used to it

Can anyone explain the vault promotion? It legit makes no sense to me.

I looked at it quickly, it sounds like you get a 3 digit code from chests earned and if it opens the vault you get a prize.

Nothing like a promotion that is not promoted or understood. The Pokerstars USA special.

Last week there was the special where I got 50 cents for playing everyday which I guess I should be appreciative of the extra $3 but these promotions are not promoted at all (at least to me). No e-mail, no in promo in the client, no chat lobby. There was a pop-up at initial login like 2 out of 7 days that promo ran. So hey not nothing.

I guess I shouldn't complain of free money, but just how incompetent is the promo director that when they give away free money there is literally no way for players to even know that there is a promo.

Essentially you need to clear a chest in order to get 3 random numbers that may or may not go to unlocking one of the colored chests. If you unlock on of them, you get a reward corresponding to your tier level.

Each Chest has three numbers. The locks securing The Vault’s intel are color-coded to show that they’re assigned to a member of your team. The blue lock needs blue numbers and so on. There’s nine digits to determine in total, with no repeated numbers in the individual sequences.

When you start, two numbers will already be revealed in the first lock.

The numbers and colors in your Chests can be made up of any combo and you could get repeated numbers. However, once an entire lock has been revealed, you’ll no longer get numbers for that color.

Stay alert. The skills and trickery of your crew could make The Vault ‘malfunction’.

Glitches with The Vault usually last for two hours. And looking at how your team usually operates, it’s safe to say they’ll trigger a malfunction once a week. During this time you can play for a Master Key which will speed-up your progress.(Forgot to mention this is between 9am and 3pm.

We’ll measure the Reward Points you tally-up throughout these two hours. Meet your target and you’ll automatically open one of the locks – or all three, for direct access to The Vault.

I have a vague idea of how this promo works but it is really difficult to figure out which is frequently the case for their promos. They make these things so ludicrously and unnecessarily complicated. They are supposed to excite the customers and encourage more play but they ultimately end up confusing everyone.

If they did a simple Bad Beat or Aces Cracked or Splash the Pot promotion then their customer base would get into it I'm sure. Instead they invent these weird characters like "Mr. Swagger" to crack the safe. LOLWUT?

I especially liked how the mobile app and desktop app had a button to "Click for more info" that took you to a dead link. I eventually used google to find their own promotional page because their own links were bad. They can't even get that right.

Beyond the chests that open your first numbers (which I assume are random but I don't believe it says for certain) are the customers expected to log on at 9am and then wait around to see if Stars is doing the two hour thing?
Additionally, it is stated that to get the Master Key through the two hour thing, a Black level player needs to earn 25,500 points in the two hour window. That is pretty unrealistic for most. Even 12 tables of NL100 or NL200 I don't think would get over 12k points per hour. So for the vast majority of black level customers this goal for the master key is really unrealistic.
Diamond level can get a master key with 9k points in 2 hours. I don't know how many Diamond players can pull off 4.5k points per hour but I'm guessing there are a few. Suffice to say I'm not going to be waiting around for the two-hour "malfunction" in which you have the grand privilege of giving them over $100/hour in rake...to probably fall short of the final goal of 25.5k points and thus not get the end reward "master key" thing in the first place. Haha.

But playing normally without doing the two-hour "malfunction" part still earns numbers with every chest and should eventually open a chest or two I assume.

This promo appears mostly similar to other promos they've done including Magic Chest things or whatever they were in March or April I think and the game board Chutes and Ladders type thing with rolling the dice. Something like that. Seems like the reward structure is mostly the same anyway as best I can recall.
I appreciate the extra money which is really extra rakeback. But it really would be nice if they explained these things better and would definitely be ordered if they stopped making the gimmicks so weird. They aren't "fun." They end up being frustrating for lack of clarity

The chests when I try to open bring up a black screen but nothing comes up, I mean the animation with the chest and the opening.

tired restart client, laptop, refresh adobe flash, also tried to log in on web browsers but same issue just a black screen on the chest windows.

There are different ways to open the chest on a PC. One of them worms and the other two do not...I think.

The pop-up thing that comes when you get a chest = No Go
Going to the My Stars thing and there is a button on the left to open chests I think = Nope. Not here either.
But towards the right side within the squares there is a square for Chests at the top middle. That is the ine that works for me.
I also got the endless animation thing trying the other other two ways as well.

Do I need to be actively checking chests for the vault? Since it only works on the website I bother once a week or so to clear any chests I may have gotten and still have.

Has the vault "malfunctioned" yet?

I had it malfunction, I'm gold and had to get 3900 points in 2 hours. Didn't realize what was happening and started about 10 minutes late. Been taking some shots at 100NL and that seemed to be my only chance. I played 4 tables for an hour and got 2k points but I ran like garbage and I lost 3 quick buyins so tried to finish it off at 50NL and didn't have a prayer.

I did unlock the one of the chests with a code today and got $35. Still seems bizarrely complicated.

getting a lot of disconnections this morning. with the rematch glitches and other bugs, i am done defending this software. total trash imo
