[PokerStars PA] - Page 81 - PokerStars: General discussion -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Been having strange disconnection issues this week, wondering if anyone is also (or has past experience).

Here are my problems:
1) I get 2 or 3 disconnections per hour on PokerstarsPA and WSOP-PA simultaneously. Each time lasts about 1 to 5 minutes.
2) All other internet aspects continue to work fine during these times (web browsing, Ignition Poker, etc.)
2) Disconnections occur simultaneously on phone apps.
3) Pokerstars says it's not a geolocation issue and they seem as confused as I am.

I've replaced my internet modem/router but the issue still persists. Beginning to wonder if it's an issue with my internet provider (Service Electric).

Like I said, just curious if anyone is/has experience with this odd issue. Thank you.

Yes im having the same issue since Wednesday night. Also spoke with two other players with same issue and we all have SE as our ISP. I called SE and for now the rep on the phone said its not their fault. Frustrating to say the least.

One last thing. All 3 PA sites DC at the same time so its not just a Stars problem. I wonder if its geocomply issue.

I had S.E. replace my modem to no avail. Called them back and they are escalating my case to a technical specialist that will contact me sometime tomorrow. I also asked the rep if there was a chance they were flagging/blocking gambling sites and she said "I doubt it".

I'll post with any progress with their tech specialist but I'm already looking for new internet service providers haha.

Thanks for the update and I'm considering a new service as well. I'm at the end of my rope. Hopefully it gets resolved sooner than later.

Still no callback from Service Electric customer support. A tech specialist was supposed to call but never did. The disconnection problems are still persisting for me. Planning to call them again tomorrow.

I saw a lot of ppl w disconnection issues over the past several days. I myself have had no issues. Verizon internet here

I wonder what PS did tho bc I also no longer have an issue where the client tells me they can't locate me when I sit at a table initially. It would notify me of that and then I'd immediately sit in again and it sits me in no problem. Weird issue that was annoying but never actually stopped me from playing

And for the love of god stop breaking up my chest rewards into random parts of coins and cash. Sooo stupid. Why waste my time making me get the cash rebate?

Just an extremely frustrating situation missing 4-5 days of play adds up for me and I'm a bit jealous seeing everyone else playing like its just another day at the office. Veey bad luck for us.

That is annoying. Im sure they give coins in the hope you buy merch from the store and put the rake right back into their wallets lmao

T-mobile home internet was my next idea. I've been playing from my phone's hotspot but I get very weak/unreliable cell signal at my house with AT&T (but at least the sites aren't disconnecting like with Service Electric).

Thanks. Played 8 hours with it today and again 0 issues. I can safely recommend it now. If it's available in your area I would snap get it. I have no faith that Service Electric is going to fix this anytime soon.

Does anyone know how promotions are affected by withdrawing?

For some time I did not withdraw and just kept a balance on the site in order to take advantage of reload bonuses, etc. A few months ago I withdrew a lump sum, and now I never receive promotions and don't even have an area to enter bonus codes on the deposit screen.

I get that they hate people cashing out, but I was just wondering if this is temporary or if anyone who wins money is permanently removed from any kind of the deposit promotions. It was a nice little $500 bonus every few months to grind towards.

If you have Service Electric cable, I recommend just calling them and letting them know you are having issues like the rest of us. The more of us that report issues, the more likely they are to fix it (I hope).

Oh yeah. If you wd during an active bonus period they usually inform you first but overall you are not going to be blocked from using any bonuses in the future. I never had any issues and I cash out a lot.

500 piece chip set at PokerStars store is $200
500 piece chip set on Amazon is $140

The funniest thing about the store is the cash rebates. Flat rate across the board 100 coins = $1

It's an exciting array of choices...that all give you the same ****ing **** lol
