I know PS has some grossly incompetent employees in some positions, or that Amaya is deliberately understaffing departments in order to book a profit, but that is conspiritard territory.
The ones doing this obviously don't do it so one of their buddies gets to win a few donkaments. The coordination needed and the risk associated to it is just not worth it. If a select few people are able to ship let's say a million, the whole situation draws so much attention they can't withdraw it without investigation. PS employees do not purposefully resume tournaments so their criminal buddies can make a buck.
What's most likely happening is some individuals with bot networks are taking PS hostage and will at some point demand a ransom. PS employees do not need to be involved for this to work.
