Dylan, great to have you back in NJ.
I have the same question as Bballwiz

I played on PS until April 2011.

1. When signing up again, do I have to use my old screenname to get my VIP status and use my VPPs or can I use a different screen name and still get it.

2. Should I be signing up through the quick account creation?

3. If I use my old screen name and want to play on PokerStars non-New Jersey while I am in an eligible country, I'll need to create a new account?

4. Can I signup and create an account now, or do I need to wait until March 16 or Mar 21?

Will paypal be accepted upon launch?

Dylan,

Same situation here. Is it possible for players in this situation to get their VIP status as of 4/15/2011? Or do they have to start from scratch?

I haven't played poker since it all went to hell in 2010/2011. I've looked at the NJ sites, but kept holding out hope that PokerStars would return because I simply hated the software I saw elsewhere. Glad you're back!

Thanks,
Steve
You would need to contact support@pokerstarsnj.com to get the process for expired/lost RSA tokens started. I believe they'll be able to disable your RSA until a new one can be acquired, but they can give you specific details.

We won't be accepting ITIN numbers for electronic verification. Apologies for any inconvenience, but an SSN will be required.

Thanks!
Yes, PokerStars NJ will be available on iOS and Android devices from March 16 and you can perform Quick Account Creation in the mobile app.

If you wish to maintain your ROW account and its assets for ROW play, you need to create a brand new PokerStars NJ account with a new UserID for playing on NJ. Attempting to login to PokerStars NJ with your current ROW UserID will trigger the Quick Account Creation. Going through “Quick Account Creation” will allow you to retain your ROW UserID and play money balance. We will also offer you a VIP Status, and StarsCoin balance on PokerStars NJ based on your play history. If you choose to use “Quick Account Creation”, your ROW account will be closed.

If you choose to open a new PokerStars NJ account and maintain your ROW account and VIP status, you will not receive the sign-up offer of a VIP Status and StarsCoin balance based on your play history.

Let me know if this is clear, as it's important that players understand this process and potential implications.

Lastly, you need to wait until March 16 to download our software and log-in to PokerStars NJ. The software will be available on the PokerStars NJ homepage.

Yes that clears most of it up, I don't know why you would want to make players choose one or the other. Would it not be in your best interest for NJ players to be able to play in state and during certain times of the year such as scoop or wcoop leave the country and play the big tournament series?

Is it considered "Multi accounting" if you leave the country during these events and create a new screen name? Do we even have the option to play again if we leave the country or if we close our current ROW account we are done forever?

Only other thing you didn't address is the funds currently in the ROW account. I believe you said to email an address for that on the first page so I guess that is what i'll have to do.

Is there a way to confirm what VIP Status and StarsCoins we would receive before making a decision?

That's mostly clear. You are saying if I want to maintain my 2011 VIP status I must log in with and keep my former screenname, all through Quick Account Creation.

Correct?

Any idea on what/if first time deposit bonuses will be? And how long you get to clear them? And if those will be available during the mar 16 soft launch or not until march 21?

First deposit offers will be available from March 16 for players participating in the testing period, as well as from March 21.

Correct?
Correct. There is one other option for ROW players I haven't yet mentioned for those who have been playing this year and wish to open a new PokerStars NJ account. We can make exceptions and move your current VIP Status and 2016 yearly VPPs (manually by contacting vipclub@pokerstarsnj.com) for players who wish to retain their ROW account, open a new PokerStars NJ account, and want their ROW VIP status and yVPPs moved. However, it's important to note that you can't transfer StarsCoin or any account funds to PokerStars NJ , and you would be losing your yVPPs and VIP Status on your ROW acccount. You will not be allowed to move these back and forth based on where you're playing at the time, so note that it's an irreversible one-time exception.

If you want the option to leave NJ to play in ROW tournament series and promotions, do not follow the "Quick Account Creation" process but rather open a new PokerStars NJ account so that you maintain your ROW account. You can't transfer funds from your ROW account to your PokerStars NJ one. You would have to cash-out ROW account funds and then deposit onto PokerStars NJ to fund your NJ account.

Yes, please email vipclub@pokerstarsnj.com and we'll confirm your VIP status as of April, 2011 which is the VIP status you'll be offered. Unless, of course, you currently have a higher current VIP status on a ROW PokerStars account (and wish to close that account in lieu of an NJ one). You can also ask for your current StarsCoin balance; simply add 60% to your current total to know how many you'll have if you take the Quick Account Creation process.

Not aware of any immediate plans for this, but am inquiring. I will try to share a list of deposit/withdrawal options available at launch with this thread before the testing period begins.

FYI - PayPal will not be an option for launch, but we expect to be able to offer it shortly after launch.

Regards,
Dylan

Yes, players can deposit from outside NJ so you can take advantage of the deposit offer.

Thanks,
Dylan

For launch, I can confirm the below options will be available. Note that cashouts must be rolled back where possible (meaning you have to withdraw from the source of your deposit). I have added an asterisk to methods which are deposit only.

Resorts Cage
Visa*
MasterCard*
Prepaid 'Discover' Card
eCheck (ACH)
PayNearME*
NETELLER
Skrill
PokerStars Instant Online Banking*
Paper Check (cashout only)

Thanks you Dylan two additional questions.

1. If I deposit using Visa and a small deposit to set up ACH can I withdraw in full using ACH.

2. Will there be a time in the future Stars NJ will use Paypal.

Thanks.

1. For specific payment scenarios I recommend emailing support@pokerstarsnj.com to avoid me giving you less than 100% accurate info. However, I believe that yes, if you deposit using two methods with only one of them allowing cashouts, you would be 'forced' to withdraw to the one that allows cashouts.

2. Gags is correct regarding PayPal.

Thanks,
Dylan

-Account balance in negative from echeck bounce
-Account closed for any other reason

Will they be eligible for old vip status?

Will they be allowed to play at all?

(just curious )
Hi,
Did you miss this one or can you not answer?

Would appreciate answers - and you don't have to be guilty to be curious about this.

Hi MDent1,

Sorry, I missed this. There's no 'one-size fits all' answer for those scenarios, so I recommend anyone with concerns over their account status or eligibility to play on PokerStars NJ contact our Support department.

Thanks,
Dylan

Do you know if banks these days give you a hard time if you use their visa? I remember TD gave me a hard time on my first deposit to party. If I do run into trouble, is there anything support can do to help or should I find an alternate way to get money on?
