Take this thread as you will, as a Fusion "regular" I believe I have a good basis for this thread - Most players will recognize me playing $6, $15 or $40 fusion if they've put in a little volume.


Anyway this all started shortly after the release of the new poker variant FUSION by Pokerstars, an amazing game I personally give Pokerstars full credit for - Whether it has potential long term definitely is yet to be seen, but should that happen this issue needs to be addressed. Basically I have suffered from the same error or glitch multiple times whilst playing, it had cost me a decent chunk of money over the times it has happened, and I'm almost certain the glitch or error still exists.

The error I'm talking about is a frozen game (or table), the screen or program isn't frozen, as you can still click the buttons such as replay. The game takes away any money you had in the pot and I assume continues on for the other players (Although I'm unsure, as when you access the replayer or try and find the hand history, you can't). This is a semi-regular occurrence, I've probably come across it ten or fifteen, totaling up to a decent amount of losses especially in the larger games, don't let the fact the video is for loose change fool you into thinking its a dollar or two. I only caught this incident on camera because it was at the start of my session, usually I wouldn't even bother, plus I thought stars would have the exact reaction they did, and take no responsibility. This is why I'm warning casual players, or those that can't afford to take some hits, it's a risk with fusion. Now obviously I contacted support about this they gave me the usual answers, got me to send in a log file which I happily did. This stars member seemed helpful, and this was until I got the following response by someone else (Big mistake, way to piss someone off).



I'll let you be the judge, if you believe that somehow I need to work on my connection to fix the above my error, someone please fill me in how to do so.

I asked for my case to be escalated after receiving the above email (Since I still don't have any answers, nor did they want to see the videos I said I had and have attached above. This was on the 20th of November and it is now the 13th of December, safe to say the email isn't being replied too, but I'm putting this up as a warning to any other players on stars.

What was support's response when you showed them the video?

In three separate occasions I offered to upload the video for them and on every message they didn't respond or didn't want to see the video. I just simply don't understand how I can work on my connection to fix this issue.

A friend of mine has also experienced this so I know it's not an isolated issue.

This happens not only in Fusion. I had a similar problem in regular SNGs. The support team told me that the problem is in my router. This happened on August 24 of this year. Although earlier no one had such problems, if the connection was lost, then immediately on all tables, and not just at one of them.

Interesting, I can't say I've ever experienced if in any other game type.

Since starting this thread Stars has contacted me via email and are investigating this further, so stay tuned.

Not that it prevents any frustration, but- all else being equal- you will profit from any such issue just as much as you will suffer because of it.

Very weird, I got a message that stars had updated their graphics and I was not getting a third card on the flop? Unchecked the new graphics in settings and restarted the client and now it looks like before. Sometimes you wonder what sort of donkey is in charge over their

Fusion has disappeared from my lobby.

As of today, Fusion is no longer available on Pokerstars. I logged on to live chat and was told that the "game was planned to be offered for only a limited time."

I thought it was a great innovation, though I had noticed that the players were becoming somewhat less spewy over time ..

I hope it comes back soon, especially seeing as they kept rubbish like zoom and spin and gos.

The reasons I can see for closing it is maybe good players had too much of an edge and maybe support was clogged from people wondering why their four card "flush" lost

All these new games were meant to be temporary offerings tho not sure about their upcoming 6+ hold'em.
