What could possibly have happened in this sitiation that someone hacked my very difficult to guess password?Only thing greedstars tells me is he lost half the balance playing cash before they notice something irregular with the play. Also 0 failed log in attempts. I also never had my gmail account compromised or 2+2 account.

I might have to just pay someone to take a look at the case unless someone has a good idea. I can prove through passport stamps that I was last in Sweden Sept. 2015.

Have you been using same password as your stars password somewhere else?
Was you using pokerstars login PIN when this happened?
Was you using pokerstars only on one device or on multiple devices?
Have you scanned your computer with anti-malware/anti-virus software after this happened?
Can you think of something what might compromised your device you been using stars with? (New software, irregularities, free wifi ect.)

It more likely hack have happened because something at your end was compromised (Device, gmail, internet connection ect.).
I would think you might want change passwords everywhere, put on 2-step authentication on all important sites and potentially formal hard disk and reinstall windows as you might still be compromised.

After all these years and hacks and people still choose not to use 2-step authentication blows my mind a bit. Especially when everybody knows that stars never takes any responsibility and it's 99% players own fault.

And obv did you use the stars email / password anywhere else?

I'd guess someone got a keylogger or remote desktop viewer installed on your PC somehow, either by email/skype trickery, or physically with a USB drive if you've been travelling with your laptop.
That style of password theft was quite common a few years ago. (It's why people should never leave their laptops unattended at live events).

Also so that someone doesn't email all of your contacts guy on guy porn with the title Look at This Video I'm In. It leads to an awkward Monday at the office or so I've heard.

I definitely had a separate password for PS and it was difficult. I think I lean towards a possible key logger but seems really strange that PS won't give me more information on what happened and when.

I came back from Vegas and wanted to count my entire bankroll up so was trying to log in to Stars for first time in a very long time. It didn't work with my password so that's when I decided to email them. I have a feeling it happened a long time ago and PS didn't want to write me an email saying this so they were going to wait until I logged back in.

The stupidity at Stars gets better and better with each email. Now the latest is my playing privileges have been revoked and then they asked me to send them a utility bill or bank statement from my U.S. address so they can change my address and manually cash me out

Dafuq?

This comes even though I've sent updated documents from my bank account in Sweden with the same exact address that I first changed from my U.S. account to Swedish address. It's all in the system correctly right now after I changed back the email address to my gmail. (This was the only thing the hacker changed and his email he used was (masteryoda@blecaf.com)

They want to process a cashout to my U.S. bank account even though my last few cashouts have been to my Swedish bank account which is in the system already?

so frustrating how dumb these people seem to be
