Is PokerStars down / lagging? - Page 266 - PokerStars: General discussion -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Hey guys, anybody else having trouble connecting with Pokerstars server?
I am playing from Thailand, but all other sites seem to connect, and everything else working fine too.Stars seems to be down here for 3 hours now.

Hi,

past few days I had the client lagging/losing connection. I am pretty sure it wasn't my internet, because at the same time I am playing on 888 and I can play fine there.

I am using an older software version. Will it help if I upgraded or will it make it worse? I am using build 19312.

I am hesitant of upgrading because I am afraid it will screw up themes/settings etc. What's the best way to back up old version? Should I just make a copy of the pokerstars folder or do I also have to backup the pokerstars folder on the users directory?

So what exactly is going on? My SnG in on break and Pokerstars says there are technical difficulties.

And I just wanted to play some fast hypers...

Pokerstars on break, will it come up soon?

"Pokerstars is currently experriecning technical difficulties. All dealing has stopped and this tournament is not accepting new registrations"

Anyone knows whats going on?

Are tables loading up for tourneys that you signed up earlier though? For example, like a tournament that starts in x minutes loaded while this happened? Are any tournaments still loading up on your screen that you registered earlier that is starting now?

Also i closed my pokerstars program because i thought it was my issue. Now i cannot log back on. So whats the best way to know when the server is back and running if you closed pokerstars while you were playing tables and also registered other tables?

Hi there. When you say spam connect, what do you mean exactly by this? You mean if it doesn't connect and shows the connecting sign, just close program and then open it again say every 1 minute etc?

Well i normally never close the client when this happens. The only reason i did this was because i checked the forum here earlier when this happened and after a while, there was no one that posted about connection or lagging issues so i thought it was me.

that is what i would do. that being said, i'm not sure if the client will just connect on it's own if you leave it at the connecting window when loading. to be safe i always waited on the connecting screen and after a minute or so i would close and reopen.

It's back and I'm in, but it doesn't run too smoothly for me. Every action takes multiple seconds to register, it seems. Is it fixed or can we expect more restarts?
