i have top of the line computer and high speed interent and never had any problems. past 3 days though its been lagging which really sucks because it makes it hard to 24 table. anyone else have the same problems? also i set pokerstars priority to realtime on my computer and it still lags

Are you running PT3? Because I'm getting the same problem and it started when I installed the so called commercial release. Over in the PT forum they say a fix is coming.

I have the same problem with a very decent machine as well. Now even when I shut PT down I still lag, but that is probably because of all of the things that are still running in the background

Stars always lags for me unless I keep my internet connection alive in the background, by streaming music on mute or seeding torrents etc. Dont know why, but within 60 seconds of having a totally idle connection, i start dropping from stars constantly. Think theres some sort of transient routing problem with my isp (comcast) so I'm switching to DSL this week to compare.

This has been happening for me recently too. I've just been bringing up the lobby and scrolling around to different tables when it disconnects and that usually brings it back. I'll try keeping a FT table open during my next session and see if that solves things. I've been playing on Stars pretty consistantly for a long time, and these connection problems just started happening withing the last 3 weeks or so. Maybe my ISP changed something about how they work.

No lagging for me, I just finished a sesh, the only time stars has lagged for me recently when the internet was **** for everyone a few days ago. Do you have high speed internet or 56k?
