That was roughly 10 days ago so hopefully I should know in around a months time.

I was going to post to help with the SAR but looks like stars are processing it. One thing to note before you get all the info is that although they have to usually reveal everything they hold on you there are two main reasons they can withhold information.

1) Any information relating to potential criminal activity has to be withheld from you. This could include suspected fraud or money laundering, only the OP knows if this is possible.

2) Any data relating to another person besides OP should not be released. So if you are somehow connected to a banned account, or somebody wrote in to say you have a gambling problem, you might not find that out.

Just an update - they have sent all the info to me in SAR and they did what appears to be a manual identity check and it has someone else's details. I have told them it isn't me and given them my ID with an affidavit at their request, looks like it should be up and running soon.

I originally verified my passport about 6 years ago when I first opened up my account, but for some reason they asked for ID again when I got the casino bonus, even though I supplied it at the time, they did a manual check and closed down my account. Anyways, my account has been reinstated, I appreciate the advice given. Not sure if admin need to identify this thread as resolved or if I need to do something?

It will not be possible to reopen your account again or allow you to open a new one.

This decision has been made in accordance with the Terms of Service of the site, located here:
#FAIL

Kind of sad pokerstars lies again and again about this...also how wrong they are, usually.

It's beyond a pattern, Pokerstars as a corporation consistantly lies to there customers about whether or not their account can be reopened and also they frequently reverse their decisions showing their basis for "permanently" closing someone's account is incorrect or frivolous in the first place. Stop lying Pokerstars, thank you.

That is a terribly bad error and you should complain to their regulator.

You can send these by email to: verifyme@starsaccount.uk
Probably has something to do with this email phish.

I didn't reply to that email; but I believe it is a correct email address. My initial contact with Stars prior to the security issue/suspension was always through the poker client just incase of issues with phishing.

When I contacted the team at the time, they said they had done a manual check and that there were no issues. I believe, as wrong as it may have been they picked up on someone elses details which led to the suspension in the first place.
