Hello guys!

I have an issue with my pokerstars account, and would really appreciate if you have any tips on how to handle this situation. About 2 years ago when I was underaged I created a pokerstars account, giving the wrong date of birth to be able to play. However it worked out well, and it has been going well last year. About 4 months ago I tried to withdrawal some of my winnings (like $300), and it did not work. The money was lost both from my account and my bank have not received any money still. I mailed and talked to support trying to get my money but nothing happend. So I thought maybe it had something to do with my wrong date of birth stated on my pokerstars account (probably not but could be the reason). I just let it go and it was not that of a big issue for me.

2 days ago (now over 18) I thought it maybe it would be a good decision to create a new account with the right date of birth so I could (if I wanted later) withdrawal money. I thought it through and thought that it might be worth it to risk being banned to being able to some day withdrawal money. And not end up with a big amount of money on the account without being able to withdrawal any of it. I know a could have done things diferently and handle it better but now im in a bad situation.

After creating the new account they both got frozen probably because some robot in their system realized that there are now 2 accounts on the same IP adress. I received an email from pokerstars that this is a routine check and I just need to send in a picture of my ID card. So I did that, however I got a few thousand dollars on both the accounts that I now can't touch.

How should I handle this situation? I can confess and tell them that I have 2 accounts because of the true reason (or another reason), and I would guess the consequences of that would be a ban and that they take my money. Or would you guys suggest in handeling it differently? Deny the knowledge of the other account in some way (btw both accounts have the first and last name of me, so that sucks).

Is there anyway I can access my money and/or not get banned. Or what do you think the consequences will be?

Sorry for the long post really appreciate any tips on how to handle the situation<3

Tell them the truth. It's likely that they'll find out eventually. Do you really want to put in the time and effort to build up a bankroll just to find out that they won't let you withdraw it? Maybe you get lucky and they still let you play. If they choose not to let you play then you can find another site to play sooner rather than later.

Alright thanks, you think that it's likely that I will have my money back?

As a US resident I haven't played there in almost a decade so I would wait for some other suggestions that may give you some better advice. I really can't say one way or another what will happen with your account or your funds. My advice is to hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst case scenerio.

Tell the truth and otherwise be cooperative imo. You're hardly the first one who has created an account with a fake DOB. But the sooner you come clean about it, the better. Might save you some trouble down the line instead of getting issues later if you bink something big.

Fwiw I'm 99% sure that your funds won't be seized if you do the above.

Because of the information you posted, they will by now have worked out who you are, (if they have bothered to look at their outstanding investigations), so you should tell them the full truth.

If they give you a pass, you can be confident that any fair winnings will be paid out to you in the future. If they don't, you'll know that even fair future winnings will always be at risk of confiscation.

Your funds will be sized 100% and allegedly donated to charity that deals with underage gamblers/ gambling.

Lucky you! Usually PokerStars waits till you bink big tournament to rake as much as they can and well... do we really know if that confiscated money goes to charity.

There're several threats about guys who have lost hundred of thousands after binking some major tournament while playing underage.
