I'm not really affected by this as much as some of you guys, but I wanted to chime in quickly.

Luke (IWEARGOGGLES) is incredibly capable and would do a more than adequate job handling this type of thing. I echo the sentiment that he would represent the correct interests and ideas in a completely fair and productive manner.

I have a little less experience with AWice, but I can say that he is shockingly intelligent. Based on my recollection of how he handled certain fairness and theory issues in the past, I can also say that he is highly qualified to represent the community.

I don't know any of the other candidates personally and I am sure that they are all wonderful in their own ways, but it would obviously be irresponsible to comment any further than I have.

Just wanted to point out that my PS screen-name is "epitomised". It really sucks that I chose this stupid 2+2 name that has no relation to any of my screen names anywhere else, sigh.

GL everyone.

I was at the March meeting, and the time in the meetings went by fast. The other players that attended ( I won't say reps here because we were all invited by SteveD for this one and were not voted) had some good ideas, but we would have got through more topics if we had all got together over skype prior to the meetings to get on the same page.

Regardless of who goes, I can't stress the importance of doing this. You can be sure that Stars will have some very polished presentations put together well in advance for you guys. You should do the same. I wish we had back in March, but hindsight is always 20/20. If Alex doesn't get elected to go, I hope he can work with the reps who do go over Skype or email or google docs or something.
I think for future meetings it might be good to stipulate that there should be at least one carry over candidate from the previous ones where possible to ensure continuity. I was also slightly concerned about the pick only one option, when there are three players going - i think there are several fine candidates, but was especially concerned that a revolving door system on these meetings wasn't going to produce the best outcomes, and thought Alex was slightly better qualified overall too.

GL everyone.
I should also mention that I voted for myself in order to see the voting before I noticed that we weren't supposed to, so I have 1 vote less than my total.
